Some times I think the State forgets they’re the prosecutor and acts like they’re the defendants attorney with the absolute ridiculous offers they give. It’s just crazy.

Not really when you can think past this one case...Hundreds of defendants per week; 1000's per month, and 12,000 per year, in this courthouse alone. The USA has the most inmates of any other country (including North Korea). Why don't you explain the the significance of the statistics, because I am absolutely sick of attempting to explain it to (what seems like millions), that just aren't bright enough to comprehend...Fiat lending doesn't work. Prohibition does not work, and unless we change these 2 problems, the USA will collapse as a country... And, unfortunately, people like you wont wake up until it does fail. To people like you, and this judge, she is just another criminal. To us intelligent people, she represents a much larger demographic, and symptom of our diseased status quo...Spoilers: In order for her to go into prison, someone else needs to get out of prison, and the annual budget shrinks with every interest payment...🤯

18 month in patient program with no contact with the outside. Think of it like jail with comprehensive in patient with monthly check in with the courts. Costly? Yes. Effective? It’s better than what we are doing now.

That defense attorney knew things were up, but he did not want to present it to the court because he didn’t want his client to have any more burden on her well guess what sir I think you’re a lousy lawyer and you hid some info on purpose and you should face disbarment

My question is this: if Judge Boyd is the arbitrary of all of this, why the hell would no one tell her about pending cases. This is wrong because the judge cannot make an informed and legal decision that would help the community if she is not advised of things like this. Probation in the state of Texas should be advised that no one will be able to get the recommendation if they are not told of pending or open cases.
One of the things that bothers me is the fact that open cases always seem to take the longest time. By this, I mean that if you have an open case, you can’t get it cleared up you can’t do anything and you’re sitting in jail while all these guys are fooling around with things that are still pending. If you do everything, the judge tells you to do, that should help you in the long run because you’re doing what the judge wants and doing What you’re supposed to do. No one should have pending case is held over their head for a long period of time because they’re not being adjudicated failure to adjudicate open cases indicates that somebody is lackluster in whatever they’re doing, and I don’t care what anyone says because open cases should be dealt with rather than left open, and the judge needs to know That these cases will be adjudicated, and also needs to know the result of such a case otherwise the sentence given is somehow non-inappropriate because of open cases or open status. Open cases that are not dealt with interfere with the ability of the judge to be able to dispense justice properly because she has to deal with whatever the probation department uses as a recommendation and then she finds out this. Something is wrong with the system. If open cases are not dealt with What would happen if a defendant was trying to get a sentence that was appropriate, and they did everything that they’re supposed to do, and yet pending cases are still open and not dealt with? Then the person that is being charged could bring a case against the state of Texas because they’re not dealing with open cases and they don’t have an appropriate Sanction or they don’t have a way to deal with these cases. It just makes me wonder what the hell they’re waiting for justice should be able to be dispensed, but they need to take into consideration everything that is open versus everything that has been done. Otherwise all these recommendations are for not because judge boy could turn around and kill every single one of these recommendations and deny them, and then the defendant is sitting there open faced and in shock because they don’t havea halfway decent deal. It is the responsibility of the state of Texas to make sure that all open cases are adjudicated. There are no exceptions. There are no excuses. Get it done.

People should take probation seriously. Or they learn the hard way. These attorneys try to defend the defendant but you can’t defend the indefensible. Therefore they sound stupid.

This is a case where it's not just about her recovery. It's not like she was just arrested for possession. She owes restitution, she has an open assault on a peace officer case. She's hurt people. She needs to serve time. She can get treatment in jail. Give people some peace of mind and justice. The judge is so sick of these woke prosecutors and probation officers and defense attorneys. This is why people re offend. They know they'll get a slap on the wrist. Sometimes I ask myself if the prosecutor is really the prosecutor, or if I was confused and mixed it up and it's the defense. That's how bad it's gotten. That's why I like judge Boyd. She's not having it. Some judges are even worse than the prosecutors. I've seen a prosecutor have to fight the judge and defend the pressing of the charges. It was so unreal. The judge was going to bat and defending the defendant and it was so unprofessional and woke. I was astonished. I'm over it.

Excuse after excuse, and it always kills me the way the defendants attorney ask them these questions. It is so scripted, and it is so fake. The questions and answers, of course are obviously noted ahead of time by them. These defendants there given the opportunity to follow these instructions, and they don’t and then they face years in prison I don’t understand that!

I have been an upstanding, responsible citizen my entire life without so much as a speeding ticket. I've had the same career as a paralegal and the same husband for 26 years. We raised two responsible and well adjusted sons who are now young adults. They also pay their taxes and have no criminal records. I'm getting ready to start law school at age 50 to become an attorney. And I have quite a few tattoos. So does my husband. So do my sons. So did my mother and sister who were also lawyers. My best friend since age 13, also a kawyer, has full sleeves on both arms and both kegs. You need to stop the pearl clutching and let go of the stereo types and open your mind. There's a gret big world out there where being an individual and being a responsible, productive member of society are not mutually exclusive.
