      Great Scott?
      Maybe you have an answer. I want to build a dry run protector to shut it off when there is no water.

    • @sam_d999
      @sam_d999 3 года назад +5

      @@LEO-xo9cz you can achieve it in different ways...using controller and sensors or using the same 555 timer ic u r using to make the mist maker. Watch carefully that the pin 4 of the ic(reset pin) is connected to the +ve terminal that turns on the ic. If it is zero or grounded your ic will not turn on. So take two wires and remove the outer coating and insert the metal wires deep inside the water container to the level that satisfies you where you placed the disc. Now connect one wire with the +ve terminal of the battery and other wire to the pin4(or the reset pin) of the 555 timer ic. That's it....if water goes below the level your ic will shut itself off automatically.
      But the problem is you will lose a small fraction of power as your ic is connected when there is no water. So better connect the gnd wire of the circuit with the gnd terminal of the battery......and then connect one wire (remember the 2 wires you put inside the water container where you placed your piezoelectric disc) with the +ve terminal of the battery and other wire with the whole circuit's +ve input. This method will be very simple and will help to save power too.

    Stick the transducer below the cup with arldite and get same vibration effect. Use suitable heat sink for transducer else it will burn off, in short time. It is good methodology to deliver medicine right deep into lungs . But use it judicially. It can also be used to clean rust parts. De stain clothes or as washing machine.
