Another question, my current program will be completed on December, can I start my second program on May and work full time on the gap? TIA ❤️

      @@christianmendoza5959 I took event management and multimedia, so yours should also be okay (I think). as for the program dates, I’m not sure as you’ll need to have some kind of status in between: your old WP will expire in Jan-Feb but it will be too early for a new one 🤷🏼‍♀️

    Hi Rachel, thanks for giving us great and helpful videos all the time. Now im at a stage of deciding which school and program to take and it's been giving me a headache and sleepless nights even doing research and everything.
    I guess u r in Vancouver and would be the best one to give opinion on this. I've been eyeing University Canada West MBA Program, at first I was inspired and too happy to see that their admission requirements and even tuition fees are quite manageable in short i have the chance to make it happen...only to get the rose colored glasses shattered when i found not a few but too many bad reviews about the school and the program. I don't know who to believe anymore as they have a pretty good advertising on their website and i've been attending on zoom events of the school and it sounds promising.
    I hope u could give me insights on this sana soon coz catching up for January 2023 intake :) as u know u are one of the best vloggers here whom i trust regarding Canadian study :) TYIA!!

    Thanks for the informative video Rachel! Just curious whether there are DLI’s that offer programs or certificates that take less than 1 year to complete (this may be helpful to students who want to do a second program to extend their PGWP but may not want to spend another full year as a student). Perhaps 6 months to 8 months?

    • @rrdancel
      @rrdancel  2 года назад

      Ohh the thing with programs less than 1 year is you won’t get to fully utilize the PGWP, if working in Canada is something you’re looking to do afterwards. And to be eligible for a study permit, your program must be no less than 8 months to qualify 🤗 just keep this in mind!

    Hello Rachel! I have some question would like to ask. I have already applied for 1+1 bundled program and I am thinking to work full time after I complete my 1st program. However, These programs require 3 semesters to complete which means I won’t have a scheduled/summer break. Not sure if I postpone the starting date of my 2nd program so that I can have 4 months (1semester) to work full-time. Can I do that? Or will it be considered as immigration rule violation?
    By the way, thank you very much for all helpful contents you have been creating😁

      Hi dear! It really depends on the visa officer reviewing your file. I’ve heard some that got 16-month program issued a 16-month PGWP, and some getting a 3-year PGWP 😅 To be on the day side, I’d get a masters program where the LOA says 2-year master’s program.

      It really depends on the officer reviewing your file. If your total program of study is less than 2 years but more than 8 months - they may issue you the same length for your PGWP.
      If the visa officer is feeling generous, sometimes they may bump it to 3.
      But are you willing to risk it?

How immigrate as a single student? when you are married, it's so easy, because your partner has a open work permit and the process economically is possible but, when you are single, you only have a part time work permit.. it is so complicated to support. Look for a very affordable 2 year college program (so that you can get a PGWP for 3 years), get the funds for at least one full school year in addition to $10,000 CAD for living expenses, focus on your school work during the school term and work part time...work full-time or two full-time jobs during the summer break. Part-time work only helps with the bills, not tuition.
