I start in November and have worried about having to work in a big spa before getting my suite. A lot of people had said you have too. This encourages me to really strive for my suite after graduation...💖🥰
do what feels right for you 💛 there’s so many esthis who go solo right after graduation & they’re successful! and some want to work at a spa for a few years before going solo & that’s okay too!! ☺️

How did you prepare yourself for the written exam?
I studied the pivot point textbook we received at school and I also purchased the app “esthetician exam center” 😊
What camera do you use to vlog? :)
I use the Sony ZV-1!
How is the state board test? Is it a hands on test?
In Minnesota we’re required to take 4 exams, 1 of them being a hands on exam where we have to apply lash extensions, do a makeup look & perform a facial + eyebrow wax. It was all done on a mannequin. You’ll do fine as long as you pay attention in class & study 😊
@@hilaryespena oh okay! I’m going to look into it bc I’m in California .. Maybe ours is different ?? But I went to a pro makeup course back in 2016 :) we just got a certificate at the end
I thought you have to have good clientele to start your business at any salon suite i start school next year thats what i wanna do start my own business
That’s what I thought too! But honestly majority of them probably just care that you’re able to pay rent on time. They didn’t credit check me or ask about my income. Just had to sign paperwork & link my bank account for automatic withdrawals. You got this! 🤍
