Wow!. This is how this should be played. Too many players rush it and make it so mechanical the way she takes her time and moves through the piece, puts so much emotion into it, beautiful
@@mastertechnique9707 Nope that's PMIM. She picks notes hard that's why it sounds convincing & strong. However she's still playing slower. Can't really play fast with two fingers unfortunately.
Nice to meet you, i, m a classic guitar player too but i,m speechless ana vidovic use a (P, I, M) finger. Because when i learn i use tremolo technique in 4 finger. Where you from? I, m from Indonesia
Martin Cohen I noticed that too. And seeing other interpretations tonight I realized that the index-middle finger tremolo is rather common in female guitarists. No idea why. This one is my favorite. Other interpreters with the same tremolo style do not sound as concise and well spaced.
This recording of A. Vidovic's live performance seems to me to be just about as perfect as it can get to truly be RECUERDOS (recollections, memories) of the Alhambra. Tempo. tone colors, rubato and various nuances in volume and timbre and the balance of tremolo and supporting base lines wonderfully paint the mental picture of memories as if the Alhambra castle is seen in one's mind from various angles, a play of light and shadows, etc. A. Vidovic let's the audience share in her marvelous feel and understanding of the composer's intent of creating memories of the grand castle at Granada in a listener's heart. I've heard quite a number of famous guitarists and their interpretations of this work over a few decades ... none has been as meaningful , touching and complete as this one.
The greatness of this piece, unfortunately, has led to it being played so often that I'm tired of it. When Ms. Vidovic plays it though, it's worth listening to. Seems to me that she is the very top level of her craft
I never write anything here for certain reasons ... Okay, Instead of a mere „tremolo etude“ you can see the melody as a „belcanto“ of an authentic singer before Caruso ( who spoilt it) Some historians analyzied Schellack records ( some of which I inherited from my father) and contemporary descriptions... fact: the singers used spontaneous rubato, cresc.and decresc. to an extent that conductors nearly failed to follow them with the orchestra.. Perhaps Miss V. was somehow aware of that long forgotten tradition of Albeniz‘s era. Very daring but rewarding version 👍 at least in my view.
I don't know how she manages to do this. The tempo is all over the place, the two-finger technique seems a bit limiting, the music doesn't manage to flow, but somehow she makes it all sound so very good.

Wait... a tremolo with only index and middle finger... that's new for me! Beautiful piece, so well played...

Playing perfect as usual
I never got to learn this song but it’s always beautiful

Feels like I’m in a hammock eating grapes and feeling the breeze by the ocean... ❤️ you Ana

Viva Tarrega! Great Ana.. BEAUTIFUL❤
If she is not the best classical guitarist ever then any one better is out there. Her repertoire is so broad. Just wonderful to listen to.
Good one. I also like the Brandon Acker version when he plays I can see the Alhambra.
Bravo Ana !
I didn't know this way of Ana's tremolo. So I discovered that the thing is already discusses. In all cases the result is amazing. Fantastic!

beautiful. two finger tremolo? wow
@friendly Jew Its not standard ,PAMI is classical standard. PIAMI is common in flamenco..maybe she had a band ring nail and compensated is my guess
@friendly Jew I don't know where you heard this but you certainly use the A finger in classical. I think you are the one that's stupid here..
