Women all around the globe are coming out of their shells, realizing their dreams, making themselves heard….But No…Not all women…Not in the corners of a third world country like India…
Because here, there are other fights to be fought before women can truly empower themselves. Social evils like dowry , female foeticide , honor killings are eating away at India’s vitals. Heinous crimes like Rape and Acid attack are mentioned in the newspapers every single day. But the girls of this country have dreamed and achieved them even in such pitiable circumstances.
So this is a humble attempt to express the fear, stress, abuse, despair, frustration and rage that we experience, through dance. We no longer want to be scared in our streets, we don’t want to hide, we don’t want to be silent. All we want is freedom and a world where we can dream as big as our brothers and chase them fearlessly.
