Thank you Chris and Carol for staying with us, and sharing your experience through this amazing video! We thoroughly enjoyed seeing Scuba Lodge through your eyes!
Very nice!! I visited the ABC islands just before the pandemic broke out via cruise ship 🚢 ….. I walked the same path you did but opposite as I started in the cruise terminal…. the hidden beach 🏖 was awesome and we had it to ourselves!! You mentioned how expensive the island 🏝 is but it’s actually the cheapest out of the 3 ….. I would love to return one day and spend more time exploring!! Thx for jogging up some memories!!!!!
Brought back memories. Queen Emma Bridge was certainly unique. Long waits though. Amazing how they switch languages with ease. Thanks again for taking us along.😎
Why narrow homes? Back in the sixteenth century, Dutch authorities levied taxes from citizens based - among other things - on the width of their houses. The results were predictable.
Enjoyed watching this, view from your hotel is magnificent. Houses are so beautifully restored and colourful. Great presentation and Caroline is the epitome of beauty.
Hiya, beautiful intro. The coloured houses are just so beautiful. Wow, what a lovely place to stay. Another beautiful tour. Amazing drone footage. Always enjoyable content. And good vibes. Your food looked tasty. Thank you for sharing. You two look amazing. Have a great week. Take care.
Thank you for visiting my island Curaçao. And I appreciate the fact that you guys did some research about the island prior to arriving here, it gives anyone interested a very thorough insight on what they can expect!!
Incredible! Such colours!! Back in the old days, you paid tax based on your 'street-front footage'. So the more narrow, the less tax. Skinny and tall was the way to go! It is why Amsterdam's architecture is the same, but also Saigon due to the French influence/architecture. Beautiful work you two - spectacular. Grant in Australia
Loved this video! We've been to Curacao twice in the past. We were watching closely to see what great place you found to eat, but it turned out to be a place we had been to. We really like that you display the prices you find at restaurants and elsewhere. We will be back in Willemstad next February.
Great work you two. I can appreciate the amount of time you spend editing and organizing your content. The vibe is perfect in all of it. I hope all your dreams come true with the life you have chosen.
Very beautiful the architecture is very similar to Amsterdam and places dotted around Belgium but with colorful twists...So charming 💛💜💙💚💛 i cannot wait to see the rest. Lovely vlog Sabrina x
I am Dutch and have been to Curacao as well. I found it a great place to chill out and the snorkling was amazing. Culture-wise I prefer other islands such as Cuba. Enjoy!
We found you when you were in B.C.S Mexico where we live. We love the pace of your channel and really enjoy watching. This episode was so interesting and it was great to see a part of the world that we had no knowledge of!
Thank you for the video info & sharing. You guys do an amazing job. At clip 19:43 you asked if it was Caribbean music, your wife answered yes. That type of music is called... “Bachata” (from the Dominican Republic). Hope this info helps.
Nice video guys. It gives a good image of how it is there. I have been a few times in Curacao because a friend of mine went to live there and i visited him. If you guys want to do a nice snorkle ask for a place they call Tugboat. There is like a shipwreck of a small boat and it is only about 5 meters deep there and it is very close to shore (50 meters) . Perfect for a good time underwater. It was the first real dive that i did when i had my PADI with a friend. We rented scuba equipment, we drove to the beach, put on or scuba suit and just walked on the beach and into the water. The most relax dive i ever did haha. I also remember there was a place somewhere where small boats from Venezuela arrived that sold fruit. Have fun and keep Jumping ;)
Yeh unfortunately because of covid the Venezuelans cannot come now, so there was no floating market this time. Can’t wait to show more of this incredible island soon!
I stayed just down the street from the Scuba Lodge and would walk by it several times a day. I completely forgot that was a hotel until I saw this. Nice to see it's still around. The neighborhood doesn't seem to have changed much, aside for the manmade beach, which was only being started when I was there. They had a picture of what it will look like when it's finished. I recognized a lot of the places in this video. Unfortunately during my visit the fort and yellow building were being remodeled. That's cool that as Portuguese speakers you can understand Papiamentu. If I'm not mistaken "Curaçao" is also Portuguese and means "heart". Looks like you missed some key sites though. If you ever go back you should visit Berg Altena, the Synagogue, Kura Hulanda Museum, Hato Caves/Indian Trail, Fort Beekenburg, Landhuis Kenepa, Cristoffel National Park and Playa Lagun.
Visually stunning and your descriptions show that you prepared your trip well. Compliment for your translation.👏 Looking forward to more. Thanks for sharing. A grateful Curaçao local.🇨🇼
The town looks absolutely gorgeous, and I love the whole vibe of the place. I guess there's a lot of diving there (i.e the Scuba Lodge), but Bonaire is nearby isn't it? I hear that that's a macro paradise.
I hope you get to Mumbo Beach. My favourite! I’ve been watching you from the beginning and have told a lot of our friends and family about your videos. Take care and safe travels. Hugs Cheryl
Not been to Curacao but have visited Aruba three times, there appear to be similarities between them. I would definitely return, but as you mentioned they are more expensive compared to other Caribbean Islands. Don't know if it is the same there but in Aruba they used to put the prices up in the Capital when cruise ships visited.
I’d like to also point out a little known fact about fort Amsterdam: If you pause the video at 8:27 you can see a connon ball stuck in the wall near the top left of the building, between the two white stripes. It was fired from a British royal navy ship called the “HMS Theseus” in 1804. Greetings from Curaçao!
You guys are amazing ! Was one of your first subscribers and must say the I really enjoy your videos ! I’m real curious how much you make monthly off your videos ? Also would you say you guys work 40 hours a week on your filming and editing? Thanks again for the great videos you guys are real easy to watch!
Great caribbean island and I've been there many times! Do check out the natural beaches where you can snorkel and see beautiful fishes north of Willemstad (Blue Bay, Cas Abao, Porto Marie, Kleine Knip and Grote Knip) all the way to Westpunt. The other side of Curacao is rougher but beautiful as well. Over there check out the Shete Boka (water blowing through the rock formations). If you're interested in culture, do check out the Savonet house and from there you can walk up the Christoffel mountain on a clear day beautiful view all the way to Venezuela. And Kunuku House is very interesting as well. Don't forget Spaanse Water just south of Willemstad (go SUP boarding there). If you like to party, Mambo beach is the place ;) And for a tropical paradise island experience, go to Klein Curacao island.
wow i'm loving the first place you lived at so much i would like to get info about living there its very affordable, Beautiful place and the views are awsome
Very nice shots of my island.. You impressed me by reading and knowing words in papiamentu.. Yes our local language is a mix.
Hi you live in curacao?
It doesn't seem there is agricultural land. How you get grains and foods?
What type of job people do there?
Love from India.
Oh it's because it is based in Portuguese

Thanks for the Info, makes sense now 😁
Exactly like in Dutch cities, so for dutchies very common :-)
U mean W. I. C

Great tour of Curacao, you do a great job of getting the feel for the island. Yes it is more expensive then most but well worth the expense.

The houses are painted because a governor at some point got headaches from the bright white houses so everyone had to paint them
@@kaspervletter290 Haha, that's brilliant. I love quirky stories like that
Great video! Can’t wait to see the rest of your Curaçao trip!!
I absolutely loved this place! Thank you soooo much for your beautiful videos 🙏🤍

Very interesting city and great video.
Walking over that floating bridge seems like a fun experience 👍😀
Nice architectural buildings and the water looks amazing!!
Food looks yummy.
I’d like to also point out a little known fact about fort Amsterdam:

Greetings from Curaçao!
Wow.wat a beautiful country..
Very Beautiful😍👍
Thanks for sharing this video. Curacao is a little under the radar. We don't get to see very many video tours. Was nice to see Frida..🤍
As Portuguese, I love the fact Curaçau was named after the word coração, Portuguese for heart ❤🇵🇹
Curação significa ilha da cura, os portugueses comiam frutas e se curavam de escorbuto
Might be blood bank or hospital.
Looks great, not too many people on the street. You couldnt find an AIRBNB? Thanks for the video.
You guys deserve more viewers
What a great decision to go to curaçao , so pretty , you two are gonna keep me busy checking out these amazing places 👍🏼

You should do a trip to Poland. It's architecture is similar. Some of the architects who helped rebuild the cities were Dutch as well.
