After years of listening to MS Subbalakshmi Amma's singing this Kriti of Syama Sastri's Devi Brova Samayamithe in ragam Chintamani I am listening to Bombay Jayashree . She has chosen for RTP this moving raga of (Much suited raga for the late evenings ) Chintamani. Extraordinarily outstanding performance. Added to this is the highlight Mridangam by Manoj Siva & Ganesh Prasad 's melodious swinging violin.Be blessed always &afore ever.
RTP in chintamani ragam is mind blowing. I don't have words to say. Genrally vocalist hesitate to present RTP in this gambheera raga but jayshree ji make it.
What a stunning performance. I have listened to your various other kinds of songs . In any classical concert whether in India or outside India you are fully focused in your Kritis RTP. Swaras etc.with flawless purity The start with Poorvi Kalyani followed by Ramani samanamevaru in KARAHARAPRIYA is leading to eternity. Koti Koti vandanangal
I think the RTP is in Dharmavathi Raga, even though the Pallavi is from the Krithi of Chintamani Raga, as N3 is used and not N2. Nevertheless, the RTP is indeed creative and soulful! 😊

She should have added some faster and melodic tillanas ...except die hard ones even other south Indian carnatic listeners would be bored by these austere pieces one after another let alone Bengalis there for whom even North Indian Classic must have sounded new....especially when you are introducing for first time...

RTP is in raga Dharmavathi.. She had brilliantly incorporated the lines from Shyama sastri's masterpiece!
