Simple but genius idea to visually indicate the location and value of the keyframes on the timeline !! Love all your videos! Just shot the footage for the basketball trick shot video with my 14y son this weekend!! :-))
Nice video Jake, I also just learned recently that you can "Anim Curves" different properties on the Follower to great effect. Some of the parameters don't quite work (Shear) but most of them do. This has made creating Text Presets a breeze for me
I WANT TO SEE THE REALIZATION MOMENT! Great video though, and I agree: this node could be way more refined in the interests of drawing AE users over to Fusion. Maybe by 19 we'll get it!
davinci is terrible with hiding features in sub-menus omg what is up with that. Its like click here, then click here, after that go and click here, and you enabled the feature, and all of that is hidden in 3 different places at once, which is a bummer :( P.S. Awesome video !
If you are referring to when my camera goes down into the bottom corner of the screen that is using the WippCam tool from the EditorCollection. It's the same pack as the WippText tool that I showcased in this video!

I want to see follower combined with character level styling. Meanwhile - back to After Effects. How about flicker effect - that's very "in" now.?? At this point, follower is just gimmicky. You would never see this in a national commercial.
Great content as always! I have a quick question for you, how can we create 2 shapes that are dynamically positioned accordingly? For example, If I am trying to create two titles and I want them to always keep the same space between them regardless of size/scale. How can we do that? In A.E it's so easy to do this relative positioning of objects, but I can't find a way in fusion
Nice and fast ... BUT where is the safety on Media and Timelines ? One f....g corrupt file can freeze your timeline. One missing file and your Customer is gone... Editing is not about speed it is about creation and safe projects over a long time period. AVID is not so fast and the media handling is complicated but it is the safety way for a good product. Use resolve for color grading that is the software BM has bought and it is one of the best thinks you can buy... the rest is crap in a professional manner. ( Editing for 30 years, with all kind of machinery.)
Hey! I totally see your point! In my experience using Premiere and Davinci I have found Davinci to be way more stable and in the event of a crash I can get everything back. At the very worst losing 15 min of work. The features that help with that are Project backup and live save. I haven't used Avid before so maybe that has even better features!
You explain things very well… But there’s no way I’m moving my text work from after effects to fusion. Or as we like to call it… ConFusion. As strictly a text tool nothing on the planet can touch after effects. For our editing we absolutely love resolve. And of course no color correct can compete with it. And we kept stopping your video to try to figure out where that noise was coming from… When it comes to mixing in music you don’t seem to understand it. We don’t need music behind your voice we wanna hear every word you have to say and that noise you put in there is completely distracting. It’s not a drama and we’re not gonna get up and dance so… Get rid of the music. Looking forward to all your future videos.
Hey! Definitely agree with you that After Effects is really good with Text! I think Fusion can get there eventually! As far as my videos I'm always working on improving. I usually end up going with whatever I think looks/sounds good because at the end of the day it's art. I'll definitely keep your suggestions in mind!

Thanks! If you are talking about making the delay amount the same between each character just set the Delay type to Between each character
Text animation and control is the weakest part of DR for me and hasn't really gotten better in years.
how do i do it word by word ? i mean first "follower" will be reveal and next " modifier"

if you add a stroke to text, it doesn't animate the stroke with follower modifier lmao
