Thank u sm fam, hearing stuff like this is what motivates me to make videos at all. Also working on a longer video right now about the movie “the first slam dunk”. Genuinely appreciate it fam thank u ❤️
Fair point, I guess even thanos was wrong about things but tbh he thought humans were wasting resources so in his head even doubling it would lead to more waste. It’s wrong but I get his view🤷♂️
Yeah, I agree. The way I see it, Thanos wasn't righteous; he was just egotistical and bitter from how his idea of genocide was shunned the first time, and he so desperately wanted to be right about killing millions to save his planet. Granted, he does make some good points about resource scarcity and overpopulation which is a real problem, but the real fundamental cause of the said problem is supply chains and economic greed on Earth. Thanos is still an excellent villain whos given a lot of nuance and development, and Im not saying he is a bad villain or anything, Im just saying when you rewatch both Infinity War and Endgame again and really listen to his dialogue, you can tell that Thanos believes he is the only one who sees the truth and needs to be the only one who can save the universe by wiping trillions of lives. Thanos wanted to be a messiah, a martyr; he wanted to be remembered as a saviour and under all those elegant speeches and imposing presence, he ultimately was just madly devoted to a misguided, flawed mission that he couldn't even realise that he could've just used the Gauntlet to created endless resources, but instead, he chose to cling onto a twisted vision that he never had the self-awareness to truly realise. Even when his plan succeeds, he doesn't realise that he created more societial problems than he solved, and he still wouldn't let go of his plan. Doctor Strange said it himself: "Congratulations, you're a martyr."
@@AntiKash The real problem was disney. Thanos snapped half the universe away to impress the goddess of death. He's just evil and a threat to life because of hids love for death. That's plenty to work with instead of pushing a depopulation scheme
It seems like the new mutants are coming, so we will probably see Sunspot lead the team. Though he definitely felt like an afterthought. When he switched sides it didn't hit as bad as rouge.
Exactly like u said it felt like an afterthought as dope as his power is and as much as I wanted to like him. But also like u said there’s a whole other season, I’m sure he’ll have a lot more development in the future
True it def favored magneto as well as i meant to say with the attention given to him. It makes for a compelling narrative when the “villains” right so im glad they did
I'm really curious what the mangaka behind My Hero Academia thought about it... if he even knew X-men 97 existed because it wasn't really advertised too well it seems. He always seemed like a huge comicbook fan and the world of MHA is essentially Erik's dreamworld. Where not having powers made you an albino, an extreme minority. Its a world where everyone is special with a genetic mutation that allows them to have a quirk. Even with the villains of that universe, Deku and friends weren't facing near mass-extinction events due to powers or antagonism based off perceived racial differences every Friday like the X-men (E is for Extinction, House of M, etc.).
Just because he is right, it doesn't make him a hero. Often heroes do the right thing regardless of the outcome or personal feelings. Magneto only does things to further his own goals. Just because they occasionally line up with other's needs and goals doesn't make his actions altruistic or noble. He is a deeply traumatized opportunist and rightfully soo, but still not a hero by any measure.... Just like my opinion, man.
That’s a completely fair opinion. My focus was that magneto is undoubtedly a hero in this shows (X-men 97) context. From beginning to the very end where I don’t wanna spoil it but his actions are very very heroics. That being said I completely see how he’s not, especially if you take into account the amount his killed outside of this show
@@AntiKash well no he's not a hero. sure he suffered greatly during his childhood but he allowed that to turn him into a supremist. in the season finale he asks professor x "why must you always defend our genetic inferiors?". Magneto and his actions ultimately give humanity a reason to hate and fear mutants. Magneto is someone that has the power to damage the earth in many was with his electro magnetic powers and has for years stated that he views Humanity as inferior and has tried to cleanse them on multiple occasions. the X-men allegory of representing marginalized people tends to fall apart when you give it some thought. true some of the methods humanity uses to fight back against mutants are somewhat inhumane but saying that "hey maybe we should be afraid of the guy that can shoot uncontrollable laser beams out of his eyes" isn't really the most unreasonable take.
@@vortechx7176 I could see where you are coming from but to witness everything magneto did in X men 97 and just label him as a superemacist is a bit close minded. As you said yourself his childhood consisting of being an auschwitz victim showed him the darkness of humanity, as for X men 97 he gave them a SECOND chance after they took storms power awat and interfered with his trial, it took him getting stripped and a full attack on mutants for him to fight back to which even then he eventually gave up and helped humanity with the help of the X men of course (stopping the meteor from hitting earth). Hes easily flawed but in X men 97 his actions are very heroic
@@AntiKash but the fact is he spent years before that trial terrorizing humanity while declaring them inferior. and he was only cleared of all charges by taking the judges into space a basically threatening them. you can't terrorize people for years get off Scot free when they try to hold you accountable, and then not expect some sort of retaliation. @@vortechx7176 nah ur def right in the sense magneto has always fought hate with hate but when he finally changed up and created a safe haven for mutants then people attacked that safe haven, i could agree that overall he’s still not a hero cus of genocide thats fair but his actions in x men 97 were def heroic especially when he literally saves em all in the end of the show
Homie came back swinging with another banger!! When the EU lady said "Magneto was right" I genuinely got so hype!!! Looking forward to finally seeing you do a Gintama video. 🫡😤
I got to make that Gintama vidddd 🙏🙏🙏 trust it’ll be in the works once I catch up on it all too, unless I just specify one arc. Thank u for always being around tho fr means a lot more than I could ever express 🙏
Man just finished all your videos can’t wait till you blow up ❤️ hopefully you’ll make some longer content in the future 😫

Thank god marvels got multiple hero groups
Fr we’re saved ‼️😭
Before the avengers, X-Men started it all
X MEN ON TOP ‼️
Before X-Men was Howard the duck
Thanos wasn't right. He was stupid. He could've easliy snapped double the resources in the universe instead of killing half the population
Fair point, I guess even thanos was wrong about things but tbh he thought humans were wasting resources so in his head even doubling it would lead to more waste. It’s wrong but I get his view🤷♂️
Wouldn't our population still increase, or even worse?
Exactly I reckon an issue with the amount of space on earth would arise or sumn like that, he tried to solve overpopulation as inhumane as that is

Like if X Men > Avengers 🫣
Pandora’s box has been opened with this argument 😭
Always have been
I will be grinding out videos this summer hold me accountable 👹

Magneto's always been right because he's the activist. The activist will always move the plot forward, so the story will always side with them.

Check out X-Men Grand Design for a book to catch up on the classic goodness also Giant Sized X-Men is fire.
That sounds sick af ima check it out for sure. This series proved to me that X men comics must be freakin amazing, can’t wait to check it out

That’s such a good point wow, MHA is literally reverse X Men where not having a quirk causes ostracization. Great fkin comment
