I really like the quality of Azure Standard's products. I also love the fact that they are a Christian company whose owners keep the Biblical seventh-day sabbath (the one Jesus kept and that is clearly described in the 4th commandment). Good for them for following God's word and not traditions of man!
For me, an old lady with some mobility issues, not having to go trudge around Walmart and then load everything into and back out of my car and then into my apartment is a BIG deal. It's only me so I don't do a lot of bulk shopping but still worth it having a delivery service available. Have fun with all the stuff!
I would LOVE to see how to get a gamma seal lid onto a 5-gallon bucket, lol! I have only been able to get one to work. I’ve used a rubber mallet, and even jumped on the things.🤣
Lol it's pretty difficult! For us, it takes two people and a rubber mallet. Me holding down one side while my husband smacks the opposite side with the rubber mallet. Kinda ridiculous! 🤣 But once it's on, it's on forever!
I've been thinking about placing an Azure order, so thank you for sharing your haul. I stopped buy KAF after their Pitchfest fiasco. There are so many other great alternatives.
There is also no shipping charge for states close to Oregon where Azure is located. I'm in north Idaho and we don't get charged a shipping charge for our drops. 😊 Have a blessed day.
We also have purchased from webstaurant in the past, however, shipping is VERY expensive. I don't love that there arent a lot of organic options, but for stocking up options it is very good. We purchased a lot of canned meat - tuna, chicken, and spices and it was much more affordable and in bulk for our large family of 9.
Oops I meant to add, we also don't order everything organic. We do what we can, but we also have to take our budget into consideration. Azure has cranberries that are sweetened with apple juice - so no sugar :)
@@foodprepguidethe cranberries are very good and still have a softness, not chewy, to texture. I find them very sweet. We solely use them atop steel cut oats and don’t need to use many.
I heard from another commenter that if you live within a certain radius from their location, they’ll deliver to your house. That’s awesome & I’m a tad jealous. 😂
I put my flours and or pasta (dried) in plastic bags and put them in the freezer for around 3 days. Then I can store it safely and don’t get weavels in them.
When I can, I buy those foods bulk in the winter and freeze them in buckets on my porch. We usually have stretches where we have near or below zero weather.
Actually, Azure doesn’t charge your card until your items are shipped. You can check out, and continue to add to your order right up till the cutoff time. Their flour is superior to anyone else’s flour. Anyone who has not watched their recent post on how they make their flour should watch it. Any flour not organic, has been sprayed with glyphosate to dry it, even if it isn’t bleached or bromated. Azure’s flour will last longer than anyone else’s because of how they process it. Love your channel though.
@@foodprepguide I hear you. My time to order for this month ended last night. I do grind whole wheat berries, but I also buy their all purpose flour for some things. I hope I get it because I’m almost out. Will know in a day or two when my order gets picked.
@@beatricealcaraz5799 it’s just Azure Standard all purpose flour. Look them up on RUclips. He posted a week or so ago about their milling process for all purpose flour. It’s very interesting. There’s still germ in that flour which is where the nutrients are.
Glyphosate is an herbicide that kills every plant it contacts unless it is GMO genetically modified to withstand the effects of the herbicide. It isn’t a drying agent.
It's surprising to me that you don't have a problem with those tiny beetles that eat holes in pasta. The pasta often is contaminated with them or their eggs. Since I don't buy pasta in bulk, I freeze my pasta for two weeks and then store it in airtight containers. Result: no bugs of any kind.
No issues so far, but that’s why I use the diatomaceous earth. Seems to work. I freeze my flour but haven’t thought about freezing pasta. Thanks for the tip! 😊
adding vinager to milk does not make buttermilk, It makes sour milk. So many people get that wrong. It is a substitute for buttermilk but its not the same and doesnt taste the same.
Of course it doesn’t make true buttermilk, but it’s a great, frugal alternative in these times of inflation. I’ve used it for years in our “buttermilk” biscuit recipe and no one who eats them can tell the difference, though I’m sure it would taste terrible in a non-baking recipe and wouldn’t recommend that.
I store oats the same way I store sugar like in this video - ruclips.net/video/cXE-3NvjtfY/видео.html But bear in mind that we're always rotating through our oats. If we were to put them away for years at a time, I would use mylar bags and oxygen absorbers.
@@foodprepguide Thank you so much! I will be getting my first Azure order next week and I’m trying to get this all figured out. Your videos are great, thank you! *Subscribed 🙂

Nice!!

Delivery service sure is nice. I hope you have a wonderful rest of your week! ❤️
@@foodprepguideI wish we had delivery when my kids were little! Especially when snowing or raining.😊

I live in Idaho and no shipping charges. Also Azure will deliver to your door(not frozen) but you pay a shipping fee much higher than your drop.
Thank you for the info!
Thanks, lots of good info. ✌🏻
Cool. I will check out the oats.

Azure also has dried cranberries that are sweetened with apple juice instead of sugar and they're delicious!
I look forward to trying those next time! :)
Wow! Another great video full of information! Thanks for providing your preferred vendors as well as mentioning price! See ya next time!
Thanks for watching!
Great video! I have been thinking of having things delivered from Azure Standard. Went to the drop point once.

Do you find that the apple juice-sweetened cranberries taste differently, or is the difference negligible?

Hey. Azure does deliver to your home, just not the frozen items. Just got my order yesterday 🤗

Love King Arthur flour...They have the best Gluten Free flour. I will try azure standard for my gluten free products.
I haven't tried their GF flour. Nice to know it tastes good for future reference!

How do you store your oats?
I store them in 5-gallon buckets with gamma seal lids, and I put bay leaves inside the bucket as well as on top of the lid.
