I’ve never thrown or slammed a controller but I’ll squeeze them and either snap it in half or pop some wiring out in the controller. Done it with GameCube and ps3 controllers.
How about this,I'm not sure if this was done by you but complete 1 game in every mario party in order or any order the content choice is yours, if you lose a game then restart. If you wish you can give your self a checkpoint halfway after completing the middle mario party game or set your own.

I don’t think master is that bad in this game there’s some mini games that are really easy if you’re really good at it well practiced it’s still difficult but not as difficult as MP5 Ai if I’m being honest !
