- Fluid art inspirational video! I can’t seem to get enough of this technique! I just love the outcome. This is a sister painting to “Out of the Smoke”. This one had more depth of color and I felt was more dramatic. I hope everybody’s enjoying some time with their families, this is what this time represents for me, a time for renewal! I think in a fast pace world, during a time for hibernation, slowing down and rest, it can be a hard thing for us to do. I’m finding a lot of value in taking things slow, and moving the body in a mindful way.

I’ve been blissing out rewatching all of your videos Sara and I think your melting Pearl paintings have to be my absolute favourites. They’re so soft and warm. I was thinking about how a room would feel if it had an extremely large area covered in a piece like this, then I thought, oh my god, imagine an entire feature wall with this painting! You could launch a wallpaper line Sara, could you imagine? It would be incredible! ❤

@@SaraTaylor you definitely should. I think you’d need to contact a designer shop or even a Homebase type of shop and find out how to promote a launch of your designs, kind of like Laura Ashley etc. See if they’d be interested in buying the design and using your name as a ‘brand’. I can imagine your pieces would look amazing as feature walls. 🙌🏼

Blizzard conditions here in SW Michigan, and I've caught a cold from my 3-month-old great-grandson (RSV actually, he's fine thank goodness), so Christmas kind of has been a nix this year. Oh that darn RSV! We had it this year as well, it went through our entire school and was bad. Thank goodness he’s OK, I know it can be really hard on babies. One of my Twins was actually in the hospital for two nights with RSV when she was six months old. It was really scary and then suddenly she just snapped out of it.

Hi Sara - this is beautiful, beautiful work as ever - along with your sentiments. Would you consider a polite request from someone neurodivergent? Can you fade out the music so as it's not playing when you're talking? It's real fight for a neurodivergent brain to focus on what you're saying, aside from the mixing levels which are drowning you out rather, and - lovely as the music is - you are honestly far more interesting, and I'd much rather listen to you without an ear/brain fight! I guessed it was probably a mixing error, though it's amazing how often RUclipsrs now underscore _every part_ of a video with music, when it's really at its most effective in transitions - intros and outros - or time lapses (where you regularly use it to good effect!)
Several artists now even put "no music" in their video titles. Sometimes it's lovely just for us to hear the gentle bustling about of an artist in their studio as they go about their work. I love your channel and your beautiful work, and wish you continued success and happiness. 🤍🌲✨

This piece gives me a deep northwest forest vibe. I love that mossy green that the blue and yellows created. It's soft and dreamy. Your pearls turned out big and juicy but not in your face. Thanks Lance! I really appreciate that. It’s actually just some different mixtures of leftover pearl recipe that I added to my transparent basecoat to give it a little bit of light gray pigment.

It’s an effect achieved by using a very thin basecoat with satin enamel in it. I have a really great paint Mixing video that might help answer some questions.

Hi Sharon, the torch I use is just a crème brûlée torch. I actually have a link to my Amazon shop and under supplies I’ve linked the exact one that I like to use. As far as wattage on my blow dryer, I’m not actually sure. It’s so covered in paint. It’s just a small travel blow dryer that is not very powerful.

Hi Sarah! Absolutely gorgeous piece! I am so very much into neutrals, naturals, and metallics!
I had commented on a previous video asking about how to do this effect and to sent me to a link from about a year ago! You had mentioned the Artist's Loft Titanium white and it got me thinking. There is a painting I did and created this effect on accident and stopped using the Artist's Loft Metallic White premix as a base because it turns out it just did this! You should check out using it. I have pictures of a painting I kept with these type of cells if you wanted to see it and decide if you want to experiment with it! And it's low cost as well, which you mentioned in your video you like to find affordable ways to achieve this

You are very talented and your work is awesome. May I ask you a question ? What is the exact name of the Apple Barrel white craft paint CRACKS? I would deeply need to know. My device's are going. I remember your video and said which White cracked.

It can crack if used as a thicker paint, the way I use it here it will not, mixed with other paints and high end medium.👍❤️

Thank you so much for your lovely words, I mix the modern masters the same way I mix my other paints for the puddle paint. Basically just with about one part paint, one part flow troll and a bit of GAC800 and or Liquitex pouring medium.

Hey Sarah! I've been given a large panel to make an artwork for my city. To be displayed in town. Can you offer some quick advice on large pours? I haven't mixed or painted in a year. I have to use house paint for the b a se.
Yes of course! If you’re doing a pearl painting or using really thin paint you’re not going to need as much pain as you might think. It really depends on the style. Maybe tell me a bit more and I could help.
@@SaraTaylor Okay so. It's pouring on a wooden board, not canvas. Bit rectangle. The paints I mixed yesterday have little cracks in the top.

have you done a painting without being able to let the paint flow off the sides? I have a stretched canvas attached to a frame. The frame is silver aluminum and I think an acrylic flow would look good. What do you think? Can I do it?
You could do more of a fluid freeform painting without tilting it off the edges, under my abstract painting playlist there’s some good examples.
Another option would be to detach the canvas from the frame before painting, that’s probably your best bet.👍
