None of us knew what to expect with this album. I think for a lot of us, the first time we heard this solo was our first memorable moment from Senjutsu. A 32-bar solo from Adrian? What a gift! Those 2nd, 3rd, and 5th licks are the ones that really grabbed me from the beginning, and still do. The mirroring you explain is so interesting!!!! I love how Adrian has a way of making his solos “speak.” Thank you for always making these videos interesting for non-players - like me! 🤘🐟🤘
That's interesting because those are the three licks where he's really playing with chord tones in a more obvious way and it just does something to your ears... 😊 I'm really happy to see you enjoyed this one because yes, I do always try to add in little explanations that can be of interest even to someone who doesn't play guitar but is still passionate about the music 🤘
Heaven can wait for now but if I died today my heaven would be an Eternity of this solo. Ordered a Suhr Standard Legacy guitar a while back as soon as it arrives I will use this tutorial. Thank u for existing, GbY, Up the Irons!!!!
another awesome explanation of this solo from Adrian. It always gives me chills. Thanks Nico, I feel like your explanation was such an indepth masterpiece.
As always, your explanations and analyzes help me better understand why and how these solos affect me so much. And with that one, Adrian has outdone himself again. Each single note, each lick of this masterpiece is just at the perfect place at the perfect time. Thanks so much Nico! 🤘
My first Maiden solo I've learned after one year of guitar! And thank you Nico for the beast of a tutorial. Many other tutorials go too fast even when they show it slowly. This is just about the perfect pace to be able to replicate and hear what notes are being played! No tab needed!
Excellent explanation. I've been working on this solo for a while now and was looking for a video for it but you're the 1st I've seen explain it and walk through it at half and full speed. Still some work to do to get my chops up to speed.
Thank you! I think learning solos note for note is fun but it's also a great opportunity to acquire a new skill, technique or musical idea so I always try to give a little more like explaining why something might have been played a certain way. Glad to know this video was helpful to you! Cheers 🤜🤛
That IMHO is brilliant Nico and you play it superbly. Lick 2 and 6 are my ear candy for this one. Excellent work with the tutorial. I'm not even a guitarist and I love your vids and I actually learn from them even though I play drums. Up The Irons ! Cheers!
Watched.you again and learned some nuances that I was missing…..cheers to you N!ico, your music education is paying off immensely! Your knowledge is definitely not from books! Thank you again for helping me show my granddaughter a great piece of music she will always remember!! 🤘🏻 Nico you are the best!🥇
Can you please do a more in depth tutorial on your guitar tone? because when I download your tone from the tone-cloud it doesn't sound right. Thanks in advance!
There are two of them available on the tonecloud the one with the Mark V amp is the one I use most often... But my next video will be exactly about this so stay tuned next week 😊
@@LicksOfTheBeast because it's the essence of all that is maiden ... Timing changes, multiple solos, bass badass, amazing drum rythem and Bruce using his range to his best... Personal opinion it's the best maiden song.. I love the +10 min songs they have done since they became a 6 man group.. each member makes maiden what they are.. sorry for the long message lol
Wow this video was awesome and I love the new maiden Album but with The problems with my Wrist I have yet to Be able to play and Adrian Smith guitar solo. Where I have tried but I feel watching your videos someday Yo teach me how to play agents famous solos on my own guitar. Lol It’s crazy I am good at what I am doing but not good at but I want to be doing sometimes. Lol. Thank you and up to irons!
Consistent practice and paying special attention to any tension points when you play. When you feel you're tensing up, stop and reset, making a conscious effort to keep your hand relaxed. It takes time and for a while it feels like you're not getting anywhere but your body will be learning and if you do it consistently, you will notice a difference before too long!
The beauty of RUclips is it offers a highly personalized experience. You can speed up the video, slow it down, pause it and scroll through any part. Just scroll forward a little bit if you can't stand to hear me talk for 90 seconds. 🤣 Lesson starts at 1:30.
I know what I’ll be practicing this week !

Adrian needs your video to remember how to play it on the next tour :)
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Actually, I always like his little variations live.
maybe his best solo imo. Lick 5 is mesmerising in context with the rythm guitar
Yeah that bend to the A and Bb against the C chord sounds very dreamy. Great great stuff by Adrian 🤘
@@LicksOfTheBeast Nico we really are enjoying the Channel. Just do not burn in, whatever you do and how often, do it of it pleases you.

Exciting video of a passionate guy. Thank you for your explanations, always the little detail that makes the difference.

Another Ace video Nico and more proof that in many ways H is one of the best out there.
🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Thank u so much Nicko 🙏🙏
It's been almost 5 months and am still full blasting this album everyday, welp, it's the same with every new millennium maiden album and SiT haha
Oh it's an incredible album!
The most informative and skilled lesson I could find. Thank you.. subscribed 😊
Thank you so much! 🤜🤛
Just when I decided to learn every solo from your tutorial playlist😁😁😁!!!
Always room for one more! 😃
Awesome. This solo is a masterpiece. Best Nico!
🤘🤘🤘🤘
i can't speak english but you are the best guitar teacher on youtube. This sentence I wrote you I used the translator on google. Hugs, Nico.
I can think of many better ones but thank you very much for your kind encouragement!! I'm really glad you are enjoying the channel 😊
@@LicksOfTheBeast Long life to you and the channel.
What a great solo and great video as always Niko!! Cheers

lick 5, most emotional for me
This solo is my favourite part of this solo
🤣🤣🤣 I completely understand!
As much as I appreciate Nico's skills, I really like his non-solo tutorials!
You mean the beginner friendly tutorials? More to come soon. I have to mix it up so that there is something for everyone 🙂

Great job mate. Do you plan to make a "walkthru" of Hell on Earth?
Maybe... It would be interesting to look into why so many people list it as one of their favourite on Senjutsu.

You don't happen to have this written down/tabbed anywhere? Excellent work.
Sorry man, maybe one day I'll have time to really make tabs but for now I do not.
@@LicksOfTheBeast No problem! Keep going, your content is great.
How do you get your playing style so relaxed and natural anytime I play I just tense up

@@marillionman8811 - Great question, I found the reply quite valuable.
Awesome vid! It would be cool if you played the entire solo before the breakdown, or closed the video with it.
Glad you enjoyed it! I linked to my cover of the solo in the description and the end screen at the end of the video.
did Dave or Janick play the first solo?
That's Dave. Janick plays the licks over the last chorus.
scusa ma la chitarra è in drop D
Per questo pezzo, si.
6:45 I think my head's going to fall off trying to get that lick up to full speed 😀
Incrementally with a metronome 😊
Get to the lesson already, u talk way too much…. No disrespect intended.
