Natalie: There are just too many characters in the MCU!
Thanos: Agreed
LOL
Ouch!
Damn dude... You're not wrong, but damn!
LOL XD You're out of line, but you're right.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 I regret that I have but one like to give for this comment.
The fact that Chadwick was already diagnosed with cancer while filming not just this movie, but also Infinity War and Endgame, and kept on going is just mind-blowing! The dude was a true badass! Prayers to you, my dude!
It is crazy to me he put on such a good performance while dealing with cancer. That is true dedication
You just spoiled it for her by saying endgame
@CYB3R2K30 u can't even act so peace out kid
@CYB3R2K30 It's probably the most nuanced performance in the entire MCU. People love shitting on this movie just because of its popularity. You're telling me the scene with T'Challa and Zuri, T'Challa in both afterlife sequences, and T'Challa facing down Killmonger in the throne room weren't all dynamite performances from Chadwick? Just because he's not throwing out quips every few seconds doesn't make the performance mediocre.
@@jaysmagicnosecandy796 Oh no! I guess I should just slap myself on the hand, huh? Chill dude, I’m sure she’ll be fine. Plus 25:23 kinda hints that she already knows what his last film was. It’s not like I revealed anything that crazy.
“Would you kill me, my love?”
“For Wakanda... without *question* “

he was so trifling in this movie. Were you not fighting her? And as soon as she gets the upper hand you wanna ask if she would kill you? lol trifflin

It's the only Marvel movie where an entire nation has a story arc along with the main characters.
Refreshingly so. It showcases African culture in a positive way & takes opportunity to deal with important themes like colonialism and its effects to date.
I mean...Isn’t Zakovia’s stuff in Rise of Ultraman kind of a nation arc?
@@JoeQuansa it also ki'da bring up afro descent vs Africans
@@hungryclone not really. We hardly deal with its citizens and the city is destroyed by the end anyway. Also it’s Sokovia and the movie is Age of Ultron.

Also nat: "Wait isn't that that tertiary character that we saw 5 minutes about 10 movies ago?"
I KNOW!! The stuff she notices and remembers blows me away.
she is literally becoming a marvel fan as we go and I love it
What blows my mind the most, is that I dont think I have a bad name memory, but she remembers almost every single characters name for the first time. I'm pretty sure she knows more names than I, even though I've seen most marvel movies at least 2-3 times... crazy
She said she had watched this one before :)
I love how she remembers the character and actors names, I can remember the events of the movies but names are so hard for me, very jealous of her lol
I love the symbolism of Killmonger's ancestral plain. His personal heritage ends at that apartment he grew up in. He has no connection to his homeland, which is why the ancestral plain that T'chala was in is far off in the distance only visible from the window. The way this movie addresses the conflict of the African Diaspora is what really elevates it for me.
This.
Ooooo, you got bars.
Meanwhile, Bucky is in Shuri’s basement freezer with a blanket thrown over it blissfully ignorant of all the shenanigans going on around him.
I never thought about that lmao Shuri said only ONE white man run about please!

My wife got to be an extra in this movie in the Casino fight scene. The movie was produced in the Atlanta area and a casting call went out for Asian women so she applied for it. To her surprise she was asked to be in the movie. She is just one of the people standing around in the casino talking before the fight starts. She only shows up for a second in the background. “I think it’s shaped like something else” had me dead😂😂😂😂
A lot of us thought the same haha
I was confused for a second and then OH GOD
WHAT? what could it possibly be except a heart? ;)
To be fair, with Wakanda being a very egalitarian society, with women having an equal part in making it what it is, it’s not really surprising that the “Heart-Shaped” Herb, which helps give the Black Panther his life and strength, is in the shape of a certain part of the female body primarily associated with life-giving and female power.
8:27 She had to apologize and put the drink down! 😂
I am from Germany, but happened to be in Oakland, CA when the movie came out and was able to see it at a movie theater nearby where the first scenes of the movie take place. The line outside the theater was very long, many people were dressed up, wearing festive or cultural outfits and the atmosphere was great. I loved the movie and all together it was a great experience.
That sounds magical man, thank you for the sharing your story. Have a good one! Cheers
The "what are those" meme was dated when they used it. It's part of her character. She's hugely into western pop culture but only connected to it very distantly, so what she thinks is hip is actually yesterday's memes
Actually it’s meant to be another reminder of where we are in the timeline. This movie takes place in 2016, where that joke wouldn’t be such a dated reference.
"Can you believe that? A kid from Oakland believing in fairytales." Breaks my heart over and over again - the idea that the possibility of being destined for greatness, or for happiness outside of the hood, is just a fairytale is so awful but such a real thing for so many.
That hit me pretty hard. yeah man...as a kid from oakland, yeah...i can believe that. Y___Y
Killmonger makes the heart ache, not just for how many are like him, but for how it didn't have to be that way for him.
All for him to actually be right about it all, but dies less than a day after discovering it.
Imagine you're ENTIRE life building up to this moment that people ridiculed you for and he doesn't even get to fully experience this magical place because he was too focused on his hate-driven mission. T'challa really did a great thing by letting him see the beauty of Wakanda in his last moments.
Yeah because nobody outside the hood evvvvver experienced that. Oppression Olympics is so stupid.
@@rume6951 The Oakland/hood bit is specific to that character. It can apply to anyone. If someone relates, it applies to them too, even if they're from somewhere else where "believing in fairytales" is seen as childish and asinine.
I think the reason T'challa's way of thinking shifted is because at first he saw Nakia's side as an extreme opposite to their traditions, but then Killmonger's way proved itself to be a much more extreme path, although with good intentions, so it forces him to realize that they were just as extreme but in the other direction, and now must find a middle ground.
Killmonger had no good intentions. He was a lunatic racist thug.

One of the saddest things on all the Marvel movies for me was that when Killmonger went to the ancestral plane he was just a little boy in the apartment where he saw his father die
"Oh that's definitely the guy from the Cornetto Trilogy and The Office" she says during the scene where Bilbo Baggins interrogates Gollum.
She hasn’t seen the hobbit tho
It's sad. She doesn't know the Tolkien white guys
@Joe Dirt Hobbit is great
Doctor Watson 🙃
FYI the older actor who portrayed king TChaka in the ancestral panther plane and the younger actor who portrayed the young version of king TChaka at the beginning of the movie are real life father and Son. John Kani ( Older TChaka ) and Atandwa Kani ( young T Chaka )
When T'challa yells at his father and the other past panthers I still react as if it's my first time watching it
When M’Baku said “we will not help you,” I literally sing songed “Yes you will!” in the theater watching this. Because it was that obvious that they were going to come around during the battle.
In my favorite interview about this movie Martin Freeman said, that during filming, he and Andy Serkis were jokingly called the Tolkien white guys on set.
Funny and mildly racist, just like the movie itself.
Oh, that's hilarious.
@@johndarcangelo6893 it’s actually not that racist considering Black People are called Tolkien’s throughout history on tv for being the only one black on set while everyone else is white. Now that it’s reversed it’s racist? Nah it’s a joke, not even that serious lol
@@randomuser2409 facts
@@randomuser2409 leave Tolkien out of this. The word you're looking for is "token". And black characters where often called that because they felt artificially tacked on to a story whithout any real contribution to the story other than to show diversity. "Look we have a black guy on cast, we're not racist." Turning that around for white actors is just as racist but it's a joke and we all should be calm enough to not fight over small crap like that. I don't need to see my skin color represented in a movie that plays in a setting where my skin color isn't that common and it's all BS anyway. That's exactly why Marvel has green, purple and orange characters and they 're all relateable because color doesn't really matter or at least it should not.
What an incredible class act Bosman was. Something about a celebrity of his scale choosing not to publicize his illness is ultimately respectable.
Better to keep it private, amongst a close circle, rather than have everyone suddenly treat you differently.
its actually quite normal I feel. If you are not emotionless sociopath, I think its emotionally easier for a shy person for example to not display an illness to the public, cause what for? To get this weird publicity and get everyone treat you differently from now on? Its unfortunate and sad that he passed, I think he was decent human being, but we didnt knew the guy. Its weird to write about him, like people know him, if its good or bad, dont know if its just me. I get that people are sad, cause he was great actor and we wont see him again in next black panther for example which makes it very sad actually, but people idealize the guy too much, from what we know, yeah, he just kept his personal stuff to himself. If its honorable to do so, then what is normal? Being exploative narcissist? What he did should be normal thing to do actually.

If Natalie is watching it in chronological order, she'll be watching Ant Man and the Wasp, between those films.
The Oakland setting is important for a couple of reasons: A: The history with the real-life Black Panther party, and B: It's where director, Ryan Coogler, was from. I'm also from Oakland (actually went to high school in Berkeley with Coogler, but didn't know him personally), and when I went to the screening at my beautiful local, historic theater (Grand Lake Theater), the audience went insane when the setting went to Oakland! Great time for our community since that was the first of four movies set in our city that year

yeah.. i think his spirit is what pushed him to act further
"ALL OF YOU WERE WRONG" always hits me for some reason. Man.. This is not my favorite Marvel movie but it has some of the best emotional moments
We've seen that scene so many times before, in Star Wars, Avatar TLA, The Lion King - and always the hero gets wisdom and comfort from the voices of the past. This is the first time we've seen the hero *disillusioned and let down* by his predecessors, and hold them accountable for mistakes of the past that he has to fix now.
Right. and how ballsy would you have to be to do that? You see your dead father in the afterlife and have the gaul to tell him and your entire culture that their way of life is wrong. That takes major courage. I couldn't do that. At least not so brasenly.

I saw this with my buddy Warren. I took him out to see this. He was SOOO excited! I had always wanted to see Black Panther from the comics on screen, but for him (being black) it was so much more to have a black superhero on screen. I figured it wouldn't be a big deal to him since we already had a super hero like Blade. But this was HIS superhero growing up. It meant so much to him. As a white guy, I had Superman, Batman, Iron Man, Captain America, the Hulk, Thor, Doctor Strange, and Spider-Man growing up. His options were more limited, and I never thought about that. We all deserve to have our own superheroes. It felt good to make his day and we've been good friends ever since. I got him a Black Panther poster for his office. We've seen every Marvel movie together. I'm glad this pandemic is finally reaching the end, because I've missed hanging out with him in person.

MCU has 2 former Sherlock Homes and 3 former Watson.
He's also Bilbo Baggins in the Hobbit trilogy as well which Benedict Cumberbatch is in as well
@@brandyanderson3522 wait 3 watsons? i know jude and martin but whose the third?
@@brandyanderson3522 MCU also has two Hannibals Lecter.
(Since the X-Men movies don’t count, we don’t get three.)
@@eleven-hopper Guardian of the Galaxy 's John C. Reilly played Dr. Watson in the less than memorable Holmes and Watson.
Watching Natalie like Bucky so much i just want her to watch "the falcon and the winter soldier" right now !! I'm sure she'll eventually do that when the time comes and it'll be wholesome !! 💜
"What can a nation of farmers offer the rest of the world?"
When I first saw that last conference scene in theaters, all I could think of was "I am Iron Man"
The “WHAT ARE THOSE” thing was honestly a dead meme when this movie came out lol
@bruce wayne Imagine being you 🤣👌
@bruce wayne This( is( not( how( you( use (
12:54 It's Martin Freeman, he also plays Bilbo Baggins in The Hobbit. And the villain with only 1 arm is Andy Serkis who plays Gollum in Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit.
Great reaction, as per usual. Love your channel. Keep up the good work.
Look forward to seeing the Dora Milaje again in Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
Erik: Wanted to help people by killing any who got in his way even those he'd call his own people. Someone who thinks themselves a hero but can't tell the difference between right and wrong anymore is a villain.
T'Challa: Wanted to help all people and protect his own. That's what heroes do.
You have no idea how excited I get whenever I see you post one of these. I actually gasped in excitement
‘They pulled him out of the ice!!’ She’s a bit confused but she got the spirit
You guys have to get Nat's patreon. With the full length reactions there are actually times when Nat is quiet for a few seconds. It's very eery but fascinating at the same time.
Dope reaction !!! For Avengers Infinity War and Endgame I recommend splitting the reactions up into 2 parts, cause there's so much cool content in both those movies
Rhinos are not angry. They are near-sighted and curious, so they run up to see more clearly.
I think she meant that they will defend themselves aggressively when provoked.
They also *do not* like fires, and will aggressively stomp out any open flame not large enough to injure them.
Amazing job Natalie! You look great in this video especially your hair!
14:45 "Who was the last one? Bucky?"
Us: "Actually yes." 🤣🤣🤣
Infinity war is gonna be insane... can't wait, should definitely make it 2 parts!
Your comment about the flower is 100% accurate 😂
Me (super excited Natalie recognized Martin freeman) 😁😁😁
Also me when I realize she hasn’t seen the hobbit and doesn’t get the significance of klaw and Ross’ scenes together and realizes who the actors are 😔😔😔
"I am not dead!"
That hits different after Chadwick's death :(
I got here so fast that this video was in my recommended but not on Nat's channel page yet.
WHAT a PERFECT DAY to watch this. The new “Shang-Chi” trailer came out today as well. 🐉 Maybe a trailer reaction?
The trailer makes me cautiously optimistic. It had a distinct _Ant-Man_ vibe to it, but also shades of _Black Panther._
I love the way his little sister is 'Q' to his '007'.
At this point I just become truly exited to go home whenever I see her new uploads when I check my news feed while taking my 5 min breaks at work! We’re getting there!!! Next stop Infinity War!!!🥳🥳🥳
