The point at 1:32 is unreal.
Never seen a player hit a backhand cross-court that hard and short in the court

The match she played against Kvitova at the Aussie Open in 2015 is when I started to pay attention. She took the racket of Petra's hands.

Madison always had fluid firepower, but her mind was always cluttered. Now she has cleared her head space and the freedom has released her talents 😮

I will never forget watching her match against Serena in the AO SF in 2015. She saved 7 match points (I believe) and the power she was hitting with was unbelievable. She made a name for herself that day. I am so happy she finally won a Grand Slam! Congratulations Madison!

It's so nostalgic for me seeing the AO courts from 2011-2015 for some reason.

@@lb7617 were they brand new back then.... I'm guessing near all the courts are public use ( or private club ) most of the year. I remember. Wimbledon back in the day - after the first week the center of court ( service line ) would be mostly dirt after first week - now the center is near all green for finals. serve & volley , hardly ever. blame Borg and he actually did. S /V.

Madison Keys, one of the best forehands in WTA. I wish there would be more consistency from now on, and that would definitely help her achieve much more.

great for. Maddy....( many of these were not this last tournament ) as to speed - I find it a bit interesting - I think about 5 current WTA players hit over 220 kilo per hr'''' Osaka. Sabalinka . Gauff , Rybakina and Keys .of the ' major ' players. but at AO. none of them hit even one that I saw. at over 190 km.. perhaps they have all decided % in is more important than a few aces or even winners ??? In any event, the blooper ball days of Jaegger &. Austin are way gone. Nobody plays like that now well - I watched ( TV ) a first rounder in Singapore WTA 25O I think a few days ago - they were both driving the ball , near every shot. just 150 type players, they could play.
