Hi can you tell me what is required to take as an undergraduate for applying to UOFT dental school. And what would benefit me the most to be accepted please respond to me as early as possible.
You can apply for CCIT or any major and then enroll in cs courses first year. You can get into the program as long as you meet the post requirements. (This year I think it’s 80% for CSC148 and 73% for MAT102) but as the other comment said I recommend taking a math course online and practicing ahead. Especially for MAT102!
I just got in. I am international. I went for rottman commerce. I didn't have any work experience and like 2 extra corriculus. My average was like 87. Also letter of recomendation wasnt needed for me.

@@kurmi. true, but its good to start thinking about it sooner than later. I'm not sure if I'll apply to uoft in the future (I'm in 10th grade right now), but are AP classes super important to take? The plan is to go into environmental science, but I'm not sure I'll be taking anything AP.
I’m in freshman year of hs and my school doesn’t offer AP or IB, will that affect my chances of getting in? I’m in a few clubs and in cadets and my grades are mostly above 90s if that helps?
As far as I know, no. IB is a whole separate curriculum so all you would have to do I convert your curriculum if you do take it, doesn’t do much. And ap’s will benefit you and make your application stronger but it’s not a requirement in Canada, since it’s an American thing. But if you do, you should make sure it’s a score of 4 or 5 for credit. None of that changes anything for your acceptance. Grades do matter, so make sure they’re the highest you can get. Clubs too. Hope this helps..
Your joking right?. You can't even get into York CS without a high 80s low 90s average. Waterloo and UofT always have the top percentile applying. Expect to be competing against applicants with 96% averages and above.
@@dzciple4931 I got into UTSG Arts and Science with a cGPA of 3.90 (out of 4) from an average public high school in New Zealand (It's relatively easier to get a higher GPA from doing NCEA). If you are within Canada you want to at least aim for the top 10% in terms of solid grade. A thing to note is that UofT really cares about overall excellence, it's better to have all B+ than a mixture of good and mediocre grades that give you the same overall GPA. Consistency of performance matters, especially so in a competitive uni like UofT. On top of that, you might wanna check out the ratio of Canadian high school graduates vs UofT's domestic undergrad intake. Last time I checked, UofT takes a little over 17,000 undergrad freshmen per year and 25% of students at UofT are international. Meanwhile, around 350,000 students graduate from high school in Canada every year. In terms of extracurriculars, I probably spent less than 5 mins filling the entire non-academic section of the application but that might be different if you're applying from within Canada, best to check with your school's advisor. If you are international like me tho, it should be slightly easier and much more academic-based. Keep in mind that UofT's international tuition is on par with some of the top private non-Ivy unis in the US and downtown Toronto is VERY expensive to live in. Good luck to your application :>
Not sure what u mean by a fee waiver but the $125 application fee is non-refundable. You can of course defer your tuition payment tho it might prevent you from enrolling in some of the more competitive courses.

Getting accepted is the first challenge, the next hurdle is maintaining the grades so you can complete your degree at UofT.
Most programs at uoft only take your grades and wont let you submit a personal statement or a letter of recommendation.
