as a tamil girl living in a western country, i cant overstate how much mindy means to me. how vulnerable she is about the prejudice she faced, and how she wouldnt give up on her dreams and forged her very own path is so inspiring.
Love Mindy! She's the down to earth chill girl I want to hang out with and an inspiration to anyone who feels they don't fit the mold. I enjoyed her memoirs and The Mindy Project. Still need to check out her Netflix show Never Have I Ever, but generally speaking, anything Mindy's in, I'm going to watch. Thanks, Stephen for having her on again.
*I’m #10 out of 11 so I’m right there with you!* 😅 I have _7 older sisters,_ & while no choke-holds were practiced on me, I _was_ forced to let them treat me like a hair stylist’s mannequin _ALL THE TIME._ 🫣 But my little brother had it worse. He was the only kid that I could dress up in pretty dresses & make beautiful with my play makeup. And, as the older sibling, I gave him no choice in the matter. I tormented him in many other ways when we were children, too. 😬 We’re adults now and he has very generously chosen to forgive me, and we are now friends. 💙
My nieces grew up close to Disneyland… all their friends gave each other passes for the summer to each other for Xmas or birthdays and they’d ALL go every summer EVERYDAY to Disneyland and hang out for the day!!! Yes… they did that…
Apparently I was the only one who found it weird that she was asking for clothing advise for eight days lol. Those clothes better be weather resistant!
A week at Disney is easy. My kids and I did Spring Break week (7 nights) at Disney World for 10 years in a row. Only reason we stopped is they got real jobs after college and long vacations are no longer possible. (I had a government gig, I got a month off every year, so no worries for me). 😎
I don't know if Disneyland is different, but Disney World has resorts right in the parks so it is easy to spend a week or two there if you can afford it.
Pls pls pls release a full performance with the amazing Joe Walsh (or all of them for that matter) need to see what that band is like during commercial
When we went to Disney, we were there 5 days. I day for each park and then an extra day for the favorite park. So 8 days really wouldn't be that odd for someone that can afford it.
She seems so baffled about people taking a week off to go to Disney, but here in the upper Midwest a trip like that is a major thing and anything less than a week is wasteful! I can't afford to take random weekend trips to Disney, if I'm going, I'm committing.
Remember, Disneyland isn't DisneyWorld, there are two parks and both are smaller than any of the parks at DisneyWorld. DisneyWorld has 4 huge ones, and that's not counting the waterparks. And if you go during the Summer, or at Christmas, the lines are 3 hours long for everything. 8 days you're still not going to get to ride everything.
If you live in CA (or even NV and AZ) Disney IS just a one day thing. Like whatever attraction is local to anyone’s home. I do not enjoy Disney, but have friends with annual passes who just get up in the morning and decide to go. It’s proximity, not privilege.
Probably because she lives in So Cal and is probably an hour or so away from Disney so it's no big deal. Disneyland was 30-45mins away from me and it was no big deal to me either, though I knew folks who had passes and went every other weekend it seemed.
Although it's been a while, I can tell you, as someone who has _been_ to Disneyland, it's not that big of a challenge to find eight days of activities there.
Could you tell me about hbo max because i looked that up and all I've really seen was that they were merging with discovery plus but I don't really know much more than that
@@jessepferr2814 they’re quietly moving around content (titles disappearing) and they shelved Batgirl entirely. @@thedylangirl so its not like their getting rid of hbo max because I've read some articles that they were going to get rid of like 85% of their content as part of this merger. Again I'm just learning about all this so I don't know much.

Otherwise she wouldn't have used that word.
The fact is no one is spending hundreds of hours in a row there. The park closes at a certain time every night. Even the resorts that are there aren't technically inside the park

@@eneobande7433 actually, at Disney in Orlando Florida there are things to do 24/7. Disney there is an entire city, but no matter how many hours it's open, it doesn't change the fact that there are 24 hours in a day and 192 in 8 days.
8 days at a Disneyland resort is not bad if you can afford it. You will spend 3 or 4 of those days enjoying the resort and other side areas rather than the parks itself 2 days for Disneyland, 2 days for California adventure, 1 day for Universal, 1 day for the beach 1 day to golf , and 1 day to just do spa activities in between ... then dinners and easy breakfasts at the resort and shopping areas ...8 days is not enough if you ask me . Of course all this if you have the money . The Mindy Steven energy is so precariously funny. Ya just don’t know where it will go🤣
