  • Ellie woke up not being able to talk properly, then started feeling numb in her face and arms. This was one of the scariest days of our lives. We hope that by capturing the events of the day, it can bring awarness to those who haven't experienced it.

For all of you that added your guesses as to Ellie's symptoms, thank you. I have been experiencing stroke like symptoms for 6 months and doctors still don't know why. Having all of your suggestions allowed me to do more research into my own health conditions. Prayers to all of you. This life is hard, but we can make it.

@@user-qx6ly1fm9s you can't know if it was the shot or covid. The science shows covid is a 6 times higher risk for heart and vascular issues (strokes, blood clots) than the vaccine. It is a very rare vaccine side effect, that has been shown in tons of studies. I understand people don't trust the vaccine, but unless you know for sure those people did not have covid, you can't say it was the shot.

I also experienced this during pregnancy. I’ve heard it called a silent migraine. I have migraines occasionally and have since the onset of puberty. These symptoms are scary and can be so intense. Mine started with a pain in my eyes and then my vision blurred. After a few min I could really form words. Maybe 10 min after that my lips and right hand went numb and tingly. I went to urgent care and all they could tell me was to call my ob and rest. After an hour long nap I woke up feeling pretty much normal. I was about as far along as Ellie is now when it happened. It’s “normal” for migraine sufferers but it’s still scary when it happens!

Hun, I just wanted to share that despite being young and healthy migraines aren’t a sign that you aren’t healthy. They can be genetic, and they can be awful. I have vestibular migraines and was misdiagnosed with epilepsy for 4 years. Because I was slurring, numbness, difficulty finding words. After trying so many treatments for migraines I have finally found one that works. It’s an injection every month, called fremanezumab. Obviously you aren’t me, and everyone situation is unique. But I highly recommend seeing a neurologist who specialises in migraines. And please don’t forget, just because you suffer from them does not make you unhealthy. I used to get 6 a month. Now I’m down to 3 with the injections, but I’m actually able to function with them, I can go about my normal day and not be completely debilitated. Sending you all the love

All you can do is pray for God to lead you to the right Dr. Ellie we love you and you will be in my daily prayers for answers. I wanted to hug Jared and take away his fear. It’s so hard watching a loved one hurt and you can’t help. ❤

I have hemiplegic migraines and TIA’s. I’ve had migraines since I was 5. Luckily my hemiplegic migraines started in 1992, 3 months after I had my son. They’re terrifying. I can’t admit it whenever I have them. They always keep me for three days and I have them so often that I’m in the hospital all the time. It’s the hemiplegic migraines that mimic strokes. It sucks! Good luck

I don't normally post comments at all. Ellie, I feel for you. I've been there. I was lucky in that both my mom and my sister get them so we knew what they were before I started exhibiting symptoms. I know Everyone is different with migraines but for us there were triggers (mine was excess estrogen and food related). They are debilitating and terrifying... especially during pregnancy. I hope you do get answers. Keeping you in our prayers as you navigate this.

They FINALLY after 2 years figured out I have Hughes syndrome aka Sticky Blood syndrome. I have never been more terrified in my life. I couldn’t eat solid foods and couldn’t say words or tie my shoes. I’m sending so much love and prayers. It’s terrifying ❤ but you’ll get through this 🥰
