I love selling hard goods. I’ll always do clothes and shoes (it’s about half my sales) but my love is hard goods especially vintage. Here’s a tip, the only Avon I search for is vintage hair brushes and the advent calendar that has little pockets with a little mouse that goes in the pocket. I’ve found it 3 times at the bins and sold it for $125-168. Also in the artwork look for embroiderey, needlepoint or crewel. Great sellers

In the candles I always look for newer/limited edition bath and body works, party lite, pier 1can be good too! HG overwhelmes me so much I try to focus on a few brands and then try to look up 1-2 new things each time so I can learn!!

This was a fun video! I love learning about hard goods. I always check out that section for personal use mostly… but always keep my eye out for something to sell.

I'm definitly not educated on hard goods but I have watched some great resellers who do vids of them going thru thrift stores and they pick out a lot of glass items that are from the 60-70's blown glass decor items, they seem to hugely popular these days along with furniture from that time frame. My Mom who also follows you has a lot more knowledge on hard goods, she collects a few things, I know that pink depression glass is quite valuable as is vintage tupperware and the coloured glass mixing bowls, and the bake ware that is white with a blue pattern, i'm sure my mom will know, both she and my sis follow you, my sister was your 50,000th subscriber on here :) back when they listed the full # of subscribers and not the rounded up # so I messaged my mom and sis and said " go follow Lisa asap! Then I was able to get a screen shot of you turning to 50k! Lol...ya I know i'm a bit goofy and your biggest fan, ha ha :) anyway, i'll tell Mom to watch this video and give you some feedback on some of the most popular things that are really popular these days. I know from watching a fellow Canadian who buys the contents of older homes, usually hoarder homes and then he goes thru all the contents and auctions off most of the items. He has been in the antique business all his life, his Dad was a muscian and he would go to places to go thru vintage musical things and I guess from there his love for buying and selling developed at a young age. He has some incredibly awesome series on his YT chanel if you are ever in the mood to watch a great series, his YT name is " Curiousity Inc", his name is Alexander. Hes from Edmonton Alberta. If you want to watch a series I would start with the "potter house" series and then the muscians house series, you can actually learn a lot from these videos as he talks a lot about items as he goes thru the homes and sorts items for the garbage, donate sell and keep (for the super special items). They are the kind of videos you can put on while cleaning and listen with some headphones, if you hear him talking about hard good items then maybe take a peek at what hes showing, otherwise its a lot of cleaning/sorting etc. The stories however of the women who owned the 2 homes I am talking about, the potter series and the muscian series, just the incredible stories he unravels about their extrordinary lives is worth the time to watch the videos. They are also highly motivating videos b/c he can move thru an enormous amount of things in a pretty short period of time. Hes developed a system and he really knows his stuff when he comes to knowing if something has value or not, this comes from spending over 30 years in the business of buying with the purpose of reselling. He did another shorter series on a home that was owned by a Dr. That had some really neat cool stuff that was very specific to the field of medicine.
The only time I ever saw him pass by some things that he didnt really think had a lot of value, but in fact had tremendous value, was a huge collection of beanie babies. A bunch of us were in the comments yelling "Do NOT donate the beany babies!!!!!!! Some are worth over 60k for ONE beanie baby!! That is the Princess Di one, I only knew this b/c I bought my neice one when they came out, sadly its long gone, if in new condition, kept in a sealed container, tags on, and the 1st run of the Princess Di Beanie baby, they can go for upwards of 60k...so, you can learn a lot from his videos just by scanning comments :)
Hope some of this might be of some help. ~ Vave
Oh...I just looked up the vintage glass baking dishes, they are " corning ware"...WOWSA ...holy k molly...I dont know who is paying these kind of prices but there are peices on there for $70k...for ONE small roasting dish. I suggest just going on etsy and exploring "rare vintage" + insert different words like rare vintage china, rare vintage glass ware etc.

Oh yes I’ve seen some of his videos. Looks hard but fun. I really don’t have the time or knowledge to do what he does but it’s super fun to watch and learn from

this was a fun video! i lol'd at the crazy doll! haha. i don't do hard goods, but my bf does on ebay and I'm always impressed with what he knows to pick up. Mainly kitchen and electronic type of items and vintage. he's still learning. I've picked up a few items here and there, but it's way out of my realm and I have little to no interest in selling on ebay, so i give them to him to list. LOL.

Yeah eBay is definitely a lot harder to learn than Poshmark or eBay. I’m trying to build my store but it’s definitely tricky

Most of the items I get are less than $10 and there are always 1-3 color tags at 50% off on top of that

Wow, your hard goods are way overpriced there! I’d focus on church and yard sales.

Yes it is! I usually look at estate sales and garage sales. We never have church sales around here sadly. Goodwill prices are even higher!
