Surprisingly never played one before, but I picked this one up. It's alright, I'm also going to get banana mania coming later this year. I got this one to play while I wait for the mania release
If it was to guess, this game is pretty easy and sold well, so they probs wanted to introduce people to the series with a low difficulty. Personally I don't think the game is THAT bad, it's still a decent game, just obviously the beginning of the downward spiral.
Wasn't it considered one of the worst due to the motion controls? Since the control scheme has changed to using the analog stick, this remaster actually makes sense because it improves upon the original game.
@@mljh11 It was not considered one of the worst solely due to motion controls. The biggest issues were the level design (unimaginitive designs with lots of guardrails), the bosses and the jump-mechanic (which made the game even easier and less fun).
@@Clinkety Ah I see.. thanks for the info. I've never played this franchise and was quite interested to get this for the kids in my household. Maybe I'll hold out for a discount or a remaster to another game in the series.
I'm soooo damn sad about the soundtrack. The soundtrack for the original port was amazing. I feel like they honestly should have revamped the original.
