**Update** I forgot to say that he was German! There's a story that The Incredible Journey did an episode on a man in WWII who went through the whole war with a wooden gun because he was a Christian. He even didn't kill or tell anyone a man was hiding in this building. Later in the war, that man ended up not killing him. That's just a side note to this incredible story!

Our old pastor was an SDA in Germany during WW2. He had no choice but to join the German army and they put him in the front line right away. So the first thing he did when he got there was place a white handkerchief on the end of his rifle and became a prisoner of war for the rest of the war. They didn't have a choice but to join or die.
This was such a beautiful amazing story and such an incredible blessing! I pray that others will watch and understand the beauty of how our Father goes after us in this wicked world full of sin that so easily besets us.

I can sense that Broc was emphasizing of Russia's desire for land, it was not. It was due to matters of human rights being constantly violated against the dominant Russian natives who are living in several Ukrainian provinces. They stipulated agreements concerning it but got constantly violated. Finally, the Minsk agreement was completely rejected, Russian natives are forbidden of even speaking their own Russian language, books with Russian language were banned, rights were suppressed upholding Ukrainian identity, etc. It was tough as majority of these provinces are Russian speaking. So it really turned out bad. And that's how we got this SMO.
