Great video! I love the Olympic Peninsula!, we hunted lower Matheny Creek for40 years give er take.had the opportunity to float the Quinaut once. We fished the Salmon River quite a bit as hunting camp was pretty close. Kalaloch lodge has got a few bucks from us to, lol Take Care! O I hit the like and subscribe and notification button, tight lines
Well guess I am first? Nice scenery! Seen many videos where someone says "Point the fish upstream to get AIR"!? That's mainly a mammal thing! Why no spoons or Blue Fox?? 3/4 oz. Half red and gold work well in coastal water or all silver or copper!! But this is only Part 1!! Tight Lines!! Peace 🕊️☮️♾️😎🎸🤟🏼
Also keep in mind once they spawn the native nets will be in the confluences to catch springers and kill native steelhead returning to the ocean …it’s ok I’m married to a Makah I can say these things 😂

Strait out of the Archives. You guys looks like such babies in this one!
😊 I used to fish the OP several weeks a year. I have moved to the midwest but I caught 5 over 20 pounds there. I sure miss fishing there
Always appreciate your videos, Cody. 👊🏻
60 degrees temp in January on the Op with steelies green water and big fish . Great video.
Nice. My memories? In the 60's, Quinalt River.

This must be an old video; the big fish are almost gone.
Guys you are using too light of gear if you hit one of the big one you will be in trouble
Corkies…..🤦🏻♂
Can't beat a chrome bright steelhead strike on a backtrolled plug.
Pushing forward on your oars should never be done… I know this video is 10 years or more old and now we all know never forward row
