The reason marshawn didn’t get the ball was because of bill belichick…. Possibly the best NFL player interview I have ever watched. And I’ve watched a lot. Thank you Shannon. Excellent work. HUGE respect & love for #24. Definitely HOF.

the mainstream media is so scared of people like shannon man. this dialogue could not happen on any other platform in my opinion. this podcast is gold. thanks unk for all your hard work fr fr. Marshawn brought me so many great memories as a kid growing up getting into football. he made it look sooo easy i thought i could do the same thing lol but ofc i couldn’t. Marshawn is a legend & should get all the flowers he deserves!!
Excellent interview!!! Marshawn is a good story teller. I really like the fact that Shannon has the ability to make his guests comfortable immediately. Asks good questions, doesn’t interrupt, listens. He gets guys like Marshawn to open up about his football and life journey that you otherwise wouldn’t normally get from other interviewers/podcasts.
This may be the best episode he has done so far. I cannot imagine Shannon topping this one. Loved how Marshawn was honest, and got comfortable smoking and drinking in this one. He even set the boundary of not getting too into the details about his convo with Russ. It seemed like he felt comfortable to just be himself. I hope he does get the chance to go to the hall of fame.
This is one of the best episodes ever. That feeling of how they lost the Super Bowl never goes away. Like any psychological scar it remains fresh. You’ll always want to know why but you’ll never get a true answer. That is an event where everyone knows you’ve been wrong
Marshawn my favorite player not just because we grew up in the same neighborhood but I love how he’s never changed who he is, he stayed true to himself and look how his success , the league and people, media or just tv has converted to his personality and he does so much for the kids where we from.
Much respect for Marshawn! So thankful I got to watch him up here in Seattle. I truly do hope Canton comes calling because he’s right, you can’t discuss NFL history or the history of RB’s without bringing him up. Much love 2-4! Thank you for everything you’ve done for the PNW!
The HOF is not letting him in. Not only is he only 29th in rushing and 18th in rushing touchdowns, he shunned the media. The NFL does not like that. They held out TO when he should have been First Ballot due to his numbers.
As far as I'm concerned, Shannon has a HoF player in 2 sports. Football and Journalism. This is hands down the best interview I've seen in decades. The amount of preparation and delivery is just legendary.
Best one yet, Shannon. As a Denver Native, CU alum, and huge Bronco fan… I can say with certainty that Marshawn Lynch is infinity percent a Hall of Famer. Absolutely zero questions about it. This interview, along with the Coach Prime one were my favorites. Fantastic work, sir. Cheers!
I liked the Ocho interview too & his new late nights program w/ Ocho. ML would be a great contributor too, but his way of expressing himself can be tapped down, but I doubt if anybody can tell him what to do - period. He's charming & cute as heck, but as a woman the cursing is a bit much on a regular bases for a podcast for me personally. LOL
This is actually the first time I’ve sat down and watched an entire interview like this with no skips or anything and I’m glad I did. This was a dope conversation between 2 dope people. Great content. Looking forward to more!!
This interview so far is incredible. The media definitely had me fooled with Randy Moss and Marshawn. I am not taking away from his struggles at all, but I am definitely impressed with how he evolved after his playing days. This man never left Beast Mode!
@tonystacks6510 The situation was different but the image the media painted was the same. I was duped into thinking they were both selfish and self centered players when it seems to me that their character was just fine.
I might not be a seahawks fan, but I'm rooting for this guy to get his Hall of Fame shot. Mans got more yards, TDs, & playoff points than many of those already in there
I love hearing all these players journeys and stories, I would love to hear from Frank Gore and how he was able to last 16 years ranked 3rd all time with 16,000 rush yards.
That was my dudeeeee.. back in the old maddens for ps2 and ps3 when making my crested teams, Frank Gore was always my number 1 running back over all the other great rbs in the game at that time.
Marshawn is a football Icon. You can't talk about NFL running backs and not talk about Marshawn. He brought so much more than stats to the game. Definitely Hall of Fame
I love Marshawn. He is so real and down to earth. The look on his face when Shay asked him if he and Russ ever went to a party together was priceless. Lol
This is the BEST interview I've seen with Shannon. Marshawn is the man. He kind of reminds me of AI, super humble and has dealt with things that 99.9% of viewers will never be able to relate to, including myself. Yet plenty of people have no problem or hesitation when it comes to judging him and his actions. Wish more people could have empathy for a dude like this. A good human that has been misunderstood and mistreated most of his life. So much respect for this guy putting up with all that BS and still coming out on top. Nothing but love.
That was a GREAT interview! Marshawn is respectful, genuine, unapologetic, caring and an all around good guy! Beast Mode on the field and in Life PERIODT ❤ #26
Marshawn is actually an awesome dude. Loved him on the field. His interviews are amazing. This interview also just really shows how smart he truly is. The fact of him being able to understand the money and being able to help himself in the future while also enjoying life at the time. Good for marshawn!
The views disagree with this take, but I think this is one of the most underrated interviews Unc conducted. Here, Beast Mode is presented in his authentic genuine self, which we fckng love. Marshawn has taken off since, podcasts, more commercials and movies. Not that Unc is directly responsible for all that, but giving him the platform to reveal himself to the audience was huge advantage for Mr. Lynch. This one and Johnny Manziel are two of my favs. Of course Kat is up there too.
When Marshawn speaks I always listen in this capacity. This guy is very selective with who he shares his life and knowledge with and I love that he has the mentality that he won't conform to what others think he should be. He's winning his way and staying authentic to himself. Love that for him.
No doubt. Being a Hawk fan the Super Bowl def stings but what hurts me even more is the 2019 game vs 49ers. If we didn’t get a delay of game at the goal line he scores and we win the game being the #2 seed instead of #5. A bye and home game in Seattle could’ve gave us another ring
This is honestly the best Lynch interview I have ever seen. What I have always loved about Lynch and why he is my all time favorite player is because he is always himself and never changes for anyone! The realest athlete I know!
I am the biggest patriots fan on planet earth I genuinely felt bad for the Seahawks in that Super Bowl. You could literally see the pain and Richard Sherman’s face INSTANTLY. As happy as I was I watched an entire teams heart break in 2 seconds
Fellow pats fan. I just KNEW they were gonna hand it off to Beastmode to win the game. Karma came for us when our "genius defensive mastermind" head coach decided to bench our second best corner in a later super bowl, and the guy who replaced him gave up every big play and touchdown. Still mad.
@@brockjensen2473 ***not a Seahawks fan. To cheer when you got handed, a trophy is like cheering after you score a touchdown playing against some invalids
I'm a lifelong Seahawk's fan. We have had TWO legendary running backs that have some form of "Shawn" or "Shaun" in their names. Both Ring of Honor worthy and Marshawn is definitely Canton worthy. What he did for US was without question magical and 1st class. He's a national treasure and one of a kind. The NFL needs to scratch him a big refund check for those BS fines....
This interview got to be a mount Rushmore interview... i was like a little kid seating on carpet in school listening to one the best storytelling I've ever heard... both of these guy's are true O.G.s from different worlds but has much respect because of their genuineness and authentic personality absolutely great interview .. . best 1.5hrs i had today thanks...
The interview I've wanted to see for a long time. As a seahawk fan it helps to hear what Marshawn has to say about the "play". Then on top of that, his other journeys are really cool to hear. Thanks to both of you; Shannon and Marshawn.
Thanks Shay Shay for doing an interview with one of the most enigmatic players I have ever seen and I lived in Seattle when they built a potential dynasty and moved the same year when they won their only SB so far. Marshawn is a real football player who could have played in any era including the roaring 20s when it really started to take off.
Never watched anything longer then 10 min on my phone. I literally watched this whole interview from my phone without any interruptions! I’m ready to watch it again! This is probably one of the best interviews I have ever heard! Thanks Unc Shay and beast mode!!
Marshawn is one of the most entertaining athletes OFF THE FIELD I’ve ever experienced. He has such a likable personality. You can’t not love him. This is honestly my favorite Club Shay Shay episode ✌🏾
One of the best interviews I’ve seen. Marshawn is truly a great person! Shannon did an exceptional job throughout this interview! Can’t get enough of the dialogue between them.
Hearing marshawn talk about being in the situation probably every kid around the world has wanted to be in ever and not getting the call is heartbreaking
Loving Shannon in these interviews more than any other media he’s been a part of it comes natural to him to where he makes his guests feel comfortable enough to really go in depth in their stories
I love Marshawn Lynch! He is family oriented. He is a realistic person, down to earth! I love that he takes him time to visualize the whole picture. Keep learning, and keep learning in ways that are best for you to progress. And keep your humor! Blessings to you, always. I get you King! ❤❤❤
I got so much love for Beast Mode. Loved the way he played and carried himself and when he retired I remember thinking I would miss watching this man play. Learning about how wise he was, and how he handled his business off the field, only made me like him more as a person. One of the coolest cats around.
Unc is the real deal. Mad respect for Shannon. Have been following him since his CBS days, and genuinely say that, although I’ve yet to meet him in person, he’s one of the most down to earth and nice guys that I have ever come across. Beast Mode: what can I say but just love for the guy. Just a great human being! Thanks for this interview, Shannon! One of the all-time, instant classics. 🙏🏽
He's one of my favorite players to watch back then. Beast Mode was gangsta and YES.......Seattle should've ran the ball on the goal line in the Super Bowl against New England 💯💯💯💯
I met Marshawn lynch when he was helping his grandmother pick up some chicken from Lucky's service deli for their church. They are some of the nicest people to ever know.
I’ve always loved Marshawn. He is my favorite player for many reasons but mainly because he is ALWAYS authentically and genuinely himself. Any and everywhere.
I usually don't post but I was in tears of proudness and laughter about 4 times this interview. This is the man that dont talk to media and we got a long awaited interview where he could be his self finally. He a real ninja
Greatest CAL back to touch the skin and one of the greatest personalities in the NFL ever! Met him the year he got drafted and will never forget why he became one of my favorite players of all time! Him and Shannon together one of the best interviews period…the comfortability and openness is awesome.
The respect that Shannon shows in as an interviewer is unmatched. Marshawn is a real one. Wishing him continued success.
He asks tough questions I love it
The reason marshawn didn’t get the ball was because of bill belichick…. (Patriots fan) bill ran his goal line defense which made Pete think “oh this will be an easy completion cause no linebackers can cover a pick route or a receiver” bill says bet and sends his goaline defense out with 3 cbs which nobody does at all and thus the win happened in our favor

the mainstream media is so scared of people like shannon man. this dialogue could not happen on any other platform in my opinion. this podcast is gold. thanks unk for all your hard work fr fr.
“He’s here just so he doesn’t get fined” 🔥 Shannon is a fire interviewer man.
Marshawn Lynch is such a talented man, especially beyond Football. And might I add he's just naturally hilarious 😊
Definitely right! He funny asf without even knowing it lmfao
Facts
Definitely a natural. ❤️🫡
Improv on Murderville. So good.
From your avatar I need ur number!😅
This is one of the best episodes ever. That feeling of how they lost the Super Bowl never goes away. Like any psychological scar it remains fresh. You’ll always want to know why but you’ll never get a true answer. That is an event where everyone knows you’ve been wrong
I'm a 9er fan and still felt so bad, immediately, when that play ran. Vividly remember that moment and the feeling that the just F***ed Lynch.
@deshawnlindsey638 eagles fan read the room challenge IMPOSSIBLE
Marshawn my favorite player not just because we grew up in the same neighborhood but I love how he’s never changed who he is, he stayed true to himself and look how his success , the league and people, media or just tv has converted to his personality and he does so much for the kids where we from.
My favorite too! Hands down!
Definitely my favorite RB
Shannon getting the most out of Marshawn that anyone has got from him for his career and post retirement. What a great interview and show 💪🏼
Much respect for Marshawn!
@@DrPhill96and that’s what makes it how bam bam stated “no fun league”
@@SPLITPHACE - Then why are so many people watching and wanting to play it? Can’t make change by going along with the “no fun”.
As far as I'm concerned, Shannon has a HoF player in 2 sports. Football and Journalism. This is hands down the best interview I've seen in decades. The amount of preparation and delivery is just legendary.
Marshawn said he had a 3.2 GPA at Cal and Shannon's response was " So how many grills have you had".
100%%% this an incredible interview and I hardly if ever say that
He’s a top tier interviewer. Charismatic dude, not hard to see why he’s at the top tier of sports commentary atm.
Thanks!
Marshawn is a highkey genius. Humble and misunderstood dude.
Me too, but I stopped to go watch his career highlights then came right back 😁
the cheapest shortcut to experience is to learn from others. Pick wise role models. your early definition of Success isn't what you think it is
Authentic. Every brother watching this appreciates your authenticity Marshawn. Living proof that we can be ourselves and still be productive. 💯
This interview so far is incredible. The media definitely had me fooled with Randy Moss and Marshawn. I am not taking away from his struggles at all, but I am definitely impressed with how he evolved after his playing days.
This man never left Beast Mode!
The media is ran by white people
Facts the media be lying on certain folks they like blacks to be like Jerry rice or Fitzgerald good ol boys
Moss and Marshawn are apples and oranges, situations w the media wasnt the same
Well this is what the media does they attacks the blacks that don’t a wear suit and tie.
@tonystacks6510 The situation was different but the image the media painted was the same. I was duped into thinking they were both selfish and self centered players when it seems to me that their character was just fine.
I might not be a seahawks fan, but I'm rooting for this guy to get his Hall of Fame shot. Mans got more yards, TDs, & playoff points than many of those already in there
hes a first ballot 100%
I agree 100%. Greatest touchdown run in playoff history, possibly ever. Beastmode!!!
I love hearing all these players journeys and stories, I would love to hear from Frank Gore and how he was able to last 16 years ranked 3rd all time with 16,000 rush yards.
Tha inconvient Truth Frankie G Niners shoulda given ball ta Gore instead a throwing it ta Crabtree
@user-mx8dq2ix9d Frank should of got the ball all 3 times , Crabtree aint nobody.
That was my dudeeeee.. back in the old maddens for ps2 and ps3 when making my crested teams, Frank Gore was always my number 1 running back over all the other great rbs in the game at that time.
frank is hall famer as well unc will get him on
I second that motion
NEW LEVEL OF RESPECT FOR THIS MAN! GET HIM IN THE HALL
AS AN OAKLAND NATIVE THIS ONE IS GOING TO BE GREAT! 😭😭 I CANNOT WAIT!!
What about just as a human
As a richmond ca native you not lying
Same
Great combo
@@hugoduzit It hits different when someone from your hood made it. It just makes being great seem more attainable on a personal level.
Thank you Shannon for one of the best interviews with Marshawn Lynch. Top notch, multi-talented and class act.
Miss him playing with the Seahawks.
You stole my thoughts😂. I agree, one of the best interviews with Marshawn
Marshawn is a football Icon. You can't talk about NFL running backs and not talk about Marshawn. He brought so much more than stats to the game. Definitely Hall of Fame
AGREED
What a GREAT INTERVIEW!! This is the first time I've watched him and listened to him this long before! It was AWESOME getting to know him like this❤
I love Marshawn. He is so real and down to earth. The look on his face when Shay asked him if he and Russ ever went to a party together was priceless. Lol
Don’t equate a lack of intelligence as being down to earth. He can do better
@@byronh5806lack of intelligence?
Did you even pay attention to the interview? 😂
@@grindstone11for real. He’s one of the most intelligent people on the planet.
That look 1:33:50 was absolutely hilarious. One of the funniest things I’ve ever seen.
I can't wait to see Marshawn's HOF speech. It's going to be the most entertaining in HOF history. 😂
I hope he get in. Hopefully they don’t rob him like Ocho.
Absolutely no disrespect to Chad but Marshawn career was way better than Chad's he would go in probably the 3rd time hopefully the second time
@@LikthaDoNNChad's numbers aren't good enough

That was a GREAT interview! Marshawn is respectful, genuine, unapologetic, caring and an all around good guy! Beast Mode on the field and in Life PERIODT ❤ #26
Marshawn is actually an awesome dude. Loved him on the field. His interviews are amazing. This interview also just really shows how smart he truly is. The fact of him being able to understand the money and being able to help himself in the future while also enjoying life at the time. Good for marshawn!
Definitely love when Marshawn is interviewed. Always dropping Gems ❤❤❤

Marsha Lynch definitely needs his own podcast. He keeps it real. Respect, great interview Shannon.
Real Town brother.
Favorite Seahawk. Huge Marshawn fan. Never change. He always seemed like he’s having fun, on and off the field.
"CHERRIES & BERRIES BEHIND ME" Bruhhhhh dont nobody got a vocabulary like Marshawn I swearrrr 😅😅🤣🤣🤣
As a saints fan that was heartbreaking. As a football fan that’s the best run I ever seen
This Hass to be the best interview I’ve ever seen. Marshawn Lynch spoke truth, light and wisdom.
Still mad.
You’re a coward for celebrating that bowl.. you guys didn’t win it you were handed it. Respectfully.
@@KUPUStheGreat I’m a coward for you having a bad coach?
@@brockjensen2473 ***not a Seahawks fan. To cheer when you got handed, a trophy is like cheering after you score a touchdown playing against some invalids
@@KUPUStheGreat man you’re even dumber than I could have ever imagined 🤣🤣🤣
I'm a lifelong Seahawk's fan. We have had TWO legendary running backs that have some form of "Shawn" or "Shaun" in their names. Both Ring of Honor worthy and Marshawn is definitely Canton worthy. What he did for US was without question magical and 1st class. He's a national treasure and one of a kind. The NFL needs to scratch him a big refund check for those BS fines....
Same here and I agree! Would have loved for Marshawn to have been with us when we had a great oline
Well said!!! 💙💚
Shannon did a great job letting Marshawn be Marshawn, the flow of that interview was just perfect.
Best interview I think he’s ever had on his show. Definitely top 3.
Definitely the interview we needed after last week’s tornado of an episode.
Charles Barkley was good too.
The interview I've wanted to see for a long time. As a seahawk fan it helps to hear what Marshawn has to say about the "play". Then on top of that, his other journeys are really cool to hear. Thanks to both of you; Shannon and Marshawn.
I've seen many Marshawn interviews, this was by far the best. Shannon asks all the right questions for everyone to better understand Beast Mode.
Two of the most authentic human beings in sports media.
I would love to see Marshawn on the podcast with Shannon and Chad after the games.
100%
YES!! Production we need this!!
1000%
Smiling, laughing the whole interview…this is as real as it gets😂
Thanks Shay Shay for doing an interview with one of the most enigmatic players I have ever seen and I lived in Seattle when they built a potential dynasty and moved the same year when they won their only SB so far. Marshawn is a real football player who could have played in any era including the roaring 20s when it really started to take off.
This is going to be one of the most lit interviews with Marshawn
Never watched anything longer then 10 min on my phone. I literally watched this whole interview from my phone without any interruptions! I’m ready to watch it again! This is probably one of the best interviews I have ever heard! Thanks Unc Shay and beast mode!!
And nowhere you want a cookie.
It’s hard to hold my attention also. But a great interview.
"if you can't learn SOMETHING...then you gotta be doin that on purpose." dope quote
Hearing marshawn talk about being in the situation probably every kid around the world has wanted to be in ever and not getting the call is heartbreaking
literally any kid that loved and played sports had that scenario 1000 times in the yard at home, they took a dream from this man. its tragic
Loving Shannon in these interviews more than any other media he’s been a part of it comes natural to him to where he makes his guests feel comfortable enough to really go in depth in their stories
One of the realist interviews from a athlete ever. 💯💪🏿
I love Marshawn Lynch! He is family oriented. He is a realistic person, down to earth! I love that he takes him time to visualize the whole picture. Keep learning, and keep learning in ways that are best for you to progress. And keep your humor! Blessings to you, always. I get you King! ❤❤❤
😂😂😂😂
This is easily my favorite conversation. Marshawn has a way of telling his stories that's so engaging.
That was a good interview- I’m a fan of Marshawn Lynch, a great player and a great man that cares about his people🖤
Probably one of best and most authentic interviews Ive ever watched
This is an award worthy interview right here man🔥🔥 Shannon has an incredibly bright future in this field
This man is a real one. He a legend. On and off the field.
He's one of my favorite players to watch back then. Beast Mode was gangsta and YES.......Seattle should've ran the ball on the goal line in the Super Bowl against New England 💯💯💯💯
I’m not even a Seattle fan, it took me some years to get over them not giving him the ball on the 1 yard line
I really enjoyed this interview
