Welcome to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. This small town located only 67 km from Regina has become an important base for the Canadian Forces Base. CFB Moose Jaw is the main training airfield for the future of Canadian Armed Forces pilots. Here at CFB Moose Jaw, the new pilots from across the country learn to fly using CT-156 Harvards and CT-155 Hawks. CFB Moose Jaw is almost home base for the 431 Air Demonstration Squadron; better known as the Snowbirds!
Every spring, as the Snowbirds prepares for the busy airshow season, it is quite common to see them flying over Moose Jaw in their Canadair CT 114 Tutor's!
Nearly 40,000 flying hours are done each year here with approximately
110 pilots being qualified a year.
15th wing Moose Jaw is the centre of the aircrew training facilities for the Royal Canadian Air Force. CFB Moose Jaw is also the principal site for NATO flying training in Canada (NFTC) and contracted flight training and
support programs (CFTS).
Moose Jaw also has a small civil airport located just east of the town; Moose Jaw Municipal airport (CJS4).

That must have been such a fun location to go spotting, and it looks like the weather was perfect when you were there. Great footage of these Harvard's, Hawk's and Tutor's in action!
