I have #169 and live overseas. In the two years that I've owned it I've used it every time I came to the States, and some friends there have use of it when I'm overseas. For the price of routine maintenance and managing the occasional inevitable repairs you get with a 20+-year-old vehicle, they get access to a nice offroad/off-grid camper and I don't have to worry about it sitting in the swamp and rotting. I'd call that win/win. Anyway, at first I opted for a rather bare-bones build because I didn't know exactly how I'd wind up wanting to set it up. I have a few more solid ideas now that I'll be implementing over the next year or so. In short, I'm quite satisfied having dealt with Suboverland and I'd recommend them to anyone who's considering this kind of vehicle. Far as I'm concerned it's a backpacker's and bicycle tourer's version of a luxury RV.
I have the same truck I would love to have built out. If I opt out of the rear roof fan etc., could a 100w solar go in the back and retain sunroof? Thanks.
Can you guys tell me what YOU think about POP TOP additions like you might see on a Vanagan/Westy or even a 4 post pop up on YOUR Suburbans in order to have a higher ceiling ofc when parked up? I’m thinking about putting one on whatever van or SUV I decide to go with. Love to know what you guys think of them in general and with your Suburbans. Thanks
I love all y'alls ideas. I'm afraid to put a fan on the roof of my turtletop van since it's made of fiberglass
I have the 06 Z71, same color. 260K miles. Great truck except for the oil leaks. Super reliable.
Awesome!

Nice! Yes we could do the solar on the rear without the fan. Feel free to reach out at support@suboverland.com
Will 285/75R16s fit on this generation of Tahoe?
Yes with a small lift
I have a ninety eight. It has a lock button at the rear doors.Does any other generation have that. My buddy has a 04 yukon and his doesn't
The next gen had that too

They would be awesome! We are hoping to have one available someday.
@@suboverland I love the low key form the Subs have that you covert. Not flashy, attracting too much attention. “Just” clean, capable and durable.
