In the first ten-twenty minutes, it goes down the rabbit hole of “Well, the slaves were happy to be slaves,” which genuinely shocked me after watching Gettysburg and seeing how generally accurate it was. @chaoticinkinc.3145 Watched Gods and Generals as a kid and yeah, it really is. The only thing worth to watch this movie is the soundtrack (much better than Gettysburg imo), Lang's acting, and the battle scenes (not violent, but not bad).

The other shows what it's like to be on a constant defeat, and what it felt to even achieve a small victory like knocking out a armoured car, in the face of constant defeat

@@OCGangsta Well I really like the accurate equipment, the unknown actors( no Forrest Gump or Riddick), and the fact that nothing in the film feels too over the top. I honestly kind of pulled “Come and See” out of nowhere I like it more than a lot of other war films but I can’t really truly say what my second favorite is though and for the last why I think the West should give more credit to the former countries of the Soviet Union. They took the brunt of the German’s punch saving many allied men from what would’ve been a much more powerful German force. This credit should come in recognition for what they did and entertainment is the easiest way to reach the masses.

All Quiet on the western front. Realistic war and REALLY good audio and music, Very gritty and shows you the horrors of war on the mind and that in the end...we are all human...all fighting for the political elite while they live high while the soldiers crawl around in mud and blood trying to survive.... By far my favorite Anti War Movie.
You forgot Midway (2019) and Greyhound, my favourite war films, Tom Hanks does a great job portraying the Battle of The Atlantic, I love how he portrayed the Canadians with the Sackville. And Midway has amazing acting paired with a great score as well as some great CGI scenes. The dive bombing scenes are my favourite as well as the end credits

I honestly kind of pulled “Come and See” out of nowhere I like it more than a lot of other war films but I can’t really truly say what my second favorite is though and for the last why I think the West should give more credit to the former countries of the Soviet Union. They took the brunt of the German’s punch saving many allied men from what would’ve been a much more powerful German force. This credit should come in recognition for what they did and entertainment is the easiest way to reach the masses.

All Quiet on the western front.
Realistic war and REALLY good audio and music, Very gritty and shows you the horrors of war on the mind and that in the end...we are all human...all fighting for the political elite while they live high while the soldiers crawl around in mud and blood trying to survive....
By far my favorite Anti War Movie.
Also the bridge on river kwai: hitler has only got one ball intensifies

You forgot Midway (2019) and Greyhound, my favourite war films, Tom Hanks does a great job portraying the Battle of The Atlantic, I love how he portrayed the Canadians with the Sackville. And Midway has amazing acting paired with a great score as well as some great CGI scenes. The dive bombing scenes are my favourite as well as the end credits
