I love that the baby didn't hesitate to reach out to his dad when he wanted to hold him. My dad was like this with me, and we've had the closest of relationships my entire life.
Treasure those beautiful moments. They’re so precious and so fleeting. I held them, loved them, carried them and they flew from my hands seemingly way too soon. They’re all grown adults now and their mother and I are aging and we’re so grateful for every single moment we had (and have) together with them.

My Daughter is 18-19 in July and finishing-up her first year of college. My Husband and I are “empty-nesters” now. Married 33 years in May, together 35. Looking forward to retirement in about 5 years. Treasure every moment. Although exhausting, imagine being where we are now. Sometimes it’s frustrating but Always remember, it’s a stage-Nothing stays the same in raising children, it just changes form. Roll with it, adapt and be present, enjoy all of it, it truly goes by in a flash. Laughter and Love are Key. We are looking forward to our Grandparenting Days in the Future as well. I remember when my son walked for the first time. It was after we remodeled the house. I also watched my daughter walk for the first time when she realized it was easier to walk in a dress than it was to crawl in one. All these milestones are WONDERFUL. Be sure to enjoy them because your little ones will be grown and gone before you know it.
