Wonderful. Thank you for the gift.
That were reet good, our Robin......I'll even let thee off as there were no ghost !! x
Oh my, this was quite a sad tale, no fairytale happy ending here. Expertly perfored!
Thank you so much! I'm really pleased you liked my narration, if not the unhappy ending...
I quickly & delightedly subscribed. I found this story riveting. Robin's narration & acting skills plus the pleasing tones of his deep voice are glorious. I'm excited to hear more.
Thanks
Thanks so much 🙂 love ghost stories.
Very well read as usual Robin. Your enunciation & pace is both compelling and soothing to listen to. Thank you, I hope your channel grows. 1:33:19
Beautifully read, as always. Thank you so much, I really enjoyed listening to this gripping story.
Good narration😁
The scariest thing about this story is the cousins wanting tp marry and the parents like: "that's good"
I know it was common back then, but it must have been REALLY common, since it pops up so often in literature. Gross. Uber gross.
Thanks for this Robin Reads..
I'm off to slumber land, listening to a favourite genre of mine..
Goodnight.. 😊💤💤📖👌🏻..
Dear Robin, are you open to suggestions for books to read? I would love to hear some of the Sherlock Holmes pastiches. There is a book called The Mammal Book of the New Sherlock Homes Adventures… or something quite close to that. There are some incredible tales in there and almost no one reading them. Just a suggestion 😊
Also more Elizabeth Gaskell!
Thank you for the suggestion! I do actually plan to start recording the Sherlock Holmes stories in the new year (Conan Doyle's originals - I know they're overdone, but I love them). If I can arrange the rights, I'd love to record the pastiches too!
i don t get it, in the begining of the story it said that the judge presenting all this story, but how could the judge know everything that happened home, in all the years, all that happened in that family s household, i don t get it Is like not the judge is saying the story but someone who witnesses all! Pls explain!
You're not alone - I don't think it makes sense from a logical perspective, either!
Apparently Dickens conceived this collection of stories and was disappointed by some of the contributions... I have the sneaking suspicion that Elizabeth Gaskell might have simply dusted off an unpublished story and added the introduction with the judge's ghost to make it fit Dickens' idea. What do you think?
@@RobinReadsVO I think you are so right! Still the story was great!
Ruined by intrusive ads. Gave up.
Sorry to hear that. I thought I'd turned off midroll!
Ads after a. Couple of. minutes, pathetic not for me
Sorry about that. They're placed automatically by RUclips. I'll try to sort them out
“The Haunted House”??? 1:08:29 and STILL no Haunted Houses, though I assume it will be theirs. [Edit]: Wrong. Robin why don’t you do something good like the Moonstone, sir? Or something short like it. Just realized it IS your voice. Great reading though, great voices as someone else said, before I’d heard them.
Cheers
