One of the best things about these gen 6 runs is seeing the big huge legendary casually standing next to the other starters in the starter select screen
In general, I feel like the grid-based structure fits better with 2D Pokemon; it looks janky in Gen 6. I prefer 2D to 3D Pokemon, but if they're going to stick to 3D, Gen 7 and onwards have better movement by far.
I think the main reason why its so weak, is that unlike every other legendary pokemon that is part of the main box trio, it has only has 600 BST instead of 680. So its literally missing 80 stat points which I think would go into its attacking stats to give it about 120-130 somewhere. Kyruem has 660 but gets 700 when it fuses. However Xernas and Yvetal have the exact same BST and stats spread but for some reason Zygarde doesn't and is weaker? why? it makes the trio so unbalanced.
@@loganthomas5736 I agree, they went and favoured it because its the type by screwing the other two legendaries over. they should fix base Zygarde so its stats are even witht he toher two. Zygarde should have been Steel Dragon. Gen 6 ia the weakest Gen 6 in the series, so little pokemon and the fairy type was introduced which is the most unbalanced type. its Gen1 Psychic 2.0.
It’d maybe be excusable if it were 73 (since you’re not supposed to be able to get it below 70) but still, you’d expect it to know that way sooner than that
Don't forget the part where Bonnie was weird, Clemont was a sorcerer and Hawlucha was a coward! Yeah, those isekai episodes really made X/Y interesting. (I never finished that anime, I stopped after Bonnie got the Zygarde cell because I am not interested in the anime anymore after they One-Pieced Ash in the Sun/Moon anime. X() "Kalos is so boring." Well, hopefully Paldea, which is its next neighbor, will be interesting. I expect a Professor Oak's Challenge of Scarlet/Violet this holiday season, buddy. ^_^
Are we not gonna talk about how you literally walk right by the last gym in gen 1 right at the start of the game? Not to mention that if it wasn't for you requiring all the badges you could easily walk right up to the elite 4 with just your starter lol
And Gen 2 having you loop twice, then head into your backyard to realise that the elite 4 and the entirety of kanto was just a short swim away from your house.
@@theapexsurvivor9538 oh god don't get me started with how gen 2 handled the map. I still get annoyed thinking about all the back tracking I had to do for that game.
@@ChaoticMeatballTV Huh, I found BDSP to be one of the weakest entries in the series. They are an improvement on Original DP but that is a small victory at best since those two are the first bad mainline games. Platinum is the only entry involving Sinnoh that I find to be good (I guess Arceus also but thats a whole different animal and I didn't love it anyway)
Wait... how the f*** can Zygarde use Brick Break, which is basically a karate chop, when it HAS NO HANDS? If it can use Brick Break, Game Freak should be whipped for not letting it use f***king DRAGON CLAW since Zygarde has hands. X(
Leaving the grid was imo probably the second worst dev choice in Pokemon thus far, after dexit. I much prefer Gen 6's 3D, even if I like Gen 7's writing and dialogue more.
pokemon hasnt looked good since gen 7. they really pushed the limits of the system, but i do prefer the grid structure of gen 6. gen 9 somehow looks worse than gen 8 and legends arceus..
In older gens it would be to his detriment because he'd get 0 EVs but it does feel kinda cheap in the newer gens. But i get why he does it. Legendarys are super slow to level. It would take twice as long to pump out a video. I do feel he shouldnt call it a nuzlocke tho. More like a can i do this video.
Honestly, I agree. There's never been a "BAD" Pokemon game, it's always been just comparing them to themselves since there's nothing that really scratches the same itch and does it as well as Pokemon does. The fact that Pokemon moved to their secondary team after Gen 5 is pretty evident to why this game came out the way it did.
@@ChaoticMeatballTV I can explain it with a lot of words, but eventually it comes down to this: We all get an itch every once in a while to play one of the pokemon games we already played. I never want to play XY again. It's just not fun compared to the rest of them.
I really enjoyed your content in the beginning but in the last months its more and more complaining about the games. Are you sure you still enjoy playing Pokémon?
No it does not. The "hardcore" part comes from not being able to go ABOVE the level cap for gymleaders and not using items in battle. Well, and set mode, but who plays with switch mode anyway. The point of the rare candies is to cut down on grinding time, as you realized yourself. But here's the thing: If he didn't use the candies, the best thing would be to grind on level 2 pokemon in the first route, just so he'd never have a chance of fainting. That is fucking boring and takes way too long. The other option would be to grind in later routes. But when he has three hours of grinding to do, he'd probably do something else besides it - and then gets punished when he doesn't pay attention. You might say that's the challenge, but it really isn't. It's just mindless grinding he can't go mindless for because people like you think that grinding has to be part of the nuzlocke when it literally doesn't matter, especially not in single pokemon runs.
@@BlueSodaPop_ I see what you're saying, but part of the challenge is the time it takes, it's a legendary pokemon and they typically have slower leveling, so part of that challenge is debating the time it takes to grind just for a better chance, or the risk of going in as a lower level, not to mention that the pokemon doesn't gain evs and ivs the same way with rare candy, I think if he at least mentioned a single time he used rare candies it wouldn't bother me, but these videos are starting to feel like a content factory, and he said himself that he's getting burnt out on pokemon, maybe he should move on to something different idk, but this is just a little dissapointing from how his vids used to be
@@joshengelbrecht8794 I don't think "the time it takes" should be considered a challenge. It's literally just a burden. If you want to always play as optimally as possible, you would never grind less than you can, which means you're always forced to do it. If he didn't, people would comment about it, "Blah why wouldn't you level up more blah" I don't think using rare candies makes him more burnt out on pokemon. I think grinding for five hours for every run would, though. Besides, he isn't the only one using rare candies in the community. Actually, I'm glad it's being normalized. As alpharad said "grinding is cringe and cheating is based", and while I don't agree with all cheating being based, I don't really mind this kind of "cheating" at all.
@@BlueSodaPop_ nah the time it takes should absolutely be considered a challenge, there's a lot of hardcore nuzlockes out there that skips everything possible then level up their pokemons to fight the gym, like you cant get crit during grinding and die or get a random trainer that could end your run because you were careless. at this point, this is literally just testing x pokemon against the gym leaders with hardcore rules.
@@trainern6601 well, if you're against that that really sounds like your problem. I'm glad that this is becoming more accepted and the nuzlocke community is becoming more accessible to people who might not have that kind of time. With full respect, I think your opinion doesn't make a whole lot of sense. But I'm also tired of arguing. Go watch someone else or play yourself if you don't like the content how it is and stop crying about it and bothering creators.

Chaotic great video. I have done the 1hp left before a few times Vs Lance and Steven Champion Battles.

The only Valid Zygarde Form. My favorite Legendary. Dragonfly deityyyyy
Did you put a Spheal in as your given by Sycamore HM buddy?
I noticed those randomized themselves when I changed my starter despite me not changing them myself. Was laughing when I saw them!
Yugioh reference on the nickname
I've always liked the design of Zygarde and the seeing it get some attention is nice. Too bad it's this bad. Nice end level though

E is for extinction, all your puny races...

I want to try some of the ds Pokémon games but I can’t find a rom anywhere
I play them on my phone all the time
Theres TOOOONS bro bro??? U can literally play them on ur android too
There's even a toooon of 3ds rom hacks available for androids
I'm sitting here playing brilliant diamond wondering why these graphics are way better.....
I prefer the gen 6 style just cos of nostalgia
Phantom Force actuslly goes through protect 🤓
Gen 7 for me ultra sun is also my favorite mainline game
dare u to do a professor oak challenge shiny only
Wait wtf does he mean by reset bag???
Super Training allows you to reset your Pokemon's EVs by using a specific punching bag. He effectively rebuilt Zygarde's EVs from the ground up.
It’s one of the punching bag items you get in super training, it removes all your EVs so you can put them in other stats
