Yesterday I attended the Gay Pride in Amsterdam for the first time. I grew up with the values of my parents who lived through the second world war to respect and love every kind of person. No matter what colour, religion or sexual preferences. I love that so much and even though I have had gay friends all my life I was again in tears when I saw a boat with people older than 60. And I am so sad that still up to today people are judged by whatever reason which is not ours to be judgemental about. Yes, I lost the contact of a lot of my family members including my parents-the last thing my father said to me before he died was the I was going to burn in Hell and that he DID NOT want me to come to his bedside to say goodbye as he lay dying with cancer; he died one week later. The only one who surprised me by being supportive was...MY EX HUSBAND. After our divorce, we still would talk on the phone occasionally. So before he could hear it from one of our friends, I called him up and told him I was gay and in love with a woman. He said “of course you are. I’ve always known that. I’m happy for you that you’ve found somebody. At least I know it wasn’t something I did. You know I’ll always have love for you Beck (he always calls me that. Only one who does). Do your parents know? What did they say?” 😮 like I said, we’d been friends a long time and he knew me well and had always loved and accepted me for who I was; even when I wasn’t ready to know or love myself for who I was. But it was Portia and Ellen who gave me the courage to tell my future wife that I thought she was extraordinary and beautiful, and yes, I was attracted to her. And yes I would love to go to dinner with her. And YES I AM A GAY WOMAN!!! My wife and I have now been married for 4 years, together for 9. Our life is a lovely dream I never have to wake up from. Cannot tell you how freeing it is, how much of a better person I am, how much nicer I am to be around, living my truth and getting to wake up every day next to the person I love completely, in all ways, and with everything I am. So to Ellen and Portia I say thank you. Your love for each other and your courage in letting the world know who you are has touched people’s lives in ways you can’t even imagine or know. And I’m one of those people. ❤️

Again I see myself coming out of an 18 year relationship with no genuine affection and trust as displayed by these two. It was because of watching this interview that I took a hard look in the mirror and I didn't even recognize myself. I let this man change me from a vibrant woman to move trapped without Money , Transportation even my other children. I am going to be strong enough to make the change for myself and my daughter. I would rather have it hard for awhile and do this part of my journey with hope. Than live waiting for him to come home off the road and still feel alone.. Again, Ellen and Porsche my daughter can now thrive being who she is and hopefully have a well Mother who can give her experiences in life , not stuff to fill the void. we are going to make it.

I love this and I feel like this is kind of how me and my girlfriend are. I'm kind of a mixture of Ellen and Potia, as I love being around my girlfriend she is such a joy and is a little more like her own self and acts like none of them. I just love how this all is set up and how its made, it is so sweet and I just love how they are towards each other. As Ellen's funny ways go right with Portal's sweetness and shy personality. Yesterday I attended the Gay Pride in Amsterdam for the first time. I grew up with the values of my parents who lived through the second world war to respect and love every kind of person. No matter what colour, religion or sexual preferences. I love that so much and even though I have had gay friends all my life I was again in tears when I saw a boat with people older than 60. And I am so sad that still up to today people are judged by whatever reason which is not ours to be judgemental about. I love all differences and I saw so much love yesterday that it made me feel so happy! Do things in a way you would like them to happen to you ❤️. Ellen is so funny by the way 😂. And they make a lovely couple.
