    Would this work on inflammation of the facets? It’s causing a whole lot of nerve sensations and muscle spasms on the same side.

      @bluerose2682 Месяц назад

      You'll need to make huge changes to stop the inflammation. No sugar, carbs, eat animal protein, no milk, no nightshade veggies or fruits. Plenty of water, no junk food, soda, alcohol, coffee is fine but only one cup (black) in between meals, not with meal. It will take about 3 months. And hit the gym, start walking and lifting light weights (increase gradually) Go to the gym at least 5 times a week. Healing happens when we move our body and eat nutritious foods. Try to watch comedy and lower your stress and anxiety level. Be patient, some days will be hard, some days you will see improvement and feel hope. It will work!

    Hi. What if i do have an L5-S1 herniation (I had my MRI) but ALSO the facet joints are bad? (Which is what I think because forward bending doesn´t hurt, which it should if the pain came from the disc herniation, whereas backward bending to the right side causes exactly the pain I have ALL DAY constantly)
    Can you do this kind of treatment with someone who has a disc herniation to treat his face joints? Because i wouldn´t want any stretching or chiro movement that treats the facet joints but aggrevates the herniation :D
    Thanks for the reply!

    • @AdamJStoryDC

      Disc herniations on an MRI are "false positives" if they aren't causing you pain. I'd treat it as a facet problem.

I’ve tried physio, chiropractor, acupuncture, laser, hot and cold therapy, tens machine, pt and nothing is taking the pain away. A chiropractor I was talking to at a garage sale 20 years ago did this exact same test on me, and diagnosed me with posterior ilium (as two other chiropractors did years later, independently), so I'm curious, how does PI relate to facet arthritis? I was just diagnosed with the latter in my neck, as well as degenerative disc disease and foraminal stenosis (also in my neck), and avoiding NSAIDs and muscle relaxants in favor of disc decompression, exercises, and getting more nutrition to the discs (via imbibition).
    One other question I've wondered about many times, and came up during this video is the fact that we use our right feet/legs to brake and depress the gas pedal, so what imbalances could that cause over time (re PI and lower back trouble, which I've had in the past??). Driving is definitely asymmetrical, so I'm guessing it was not only sitting for 900 miles, but constantly pressing the gas or brake pedals during that time that created the problem in his case... possibly with a predisposition already, but which came first, the facet issue or the PI?? (posterior ilium, for non-chiropractors).
    The chiroporactor I mentioned told me precisely the same thing you said here, that my right sacro-iliac joint wasn't rotating as it should, while my left SI joint was. Any info or insights would be appreciated!!
    PS. People who drive stick shifts and use a clutch pedal will get more symmetry, especially in city driving where they're changing gears more often and depressing their clutch a lot, but on interstates driving across the country there's not much gear shifting, so it's almost all right leg.

    • @AdamJStoryDC
      @AdamJStoryDC  7 лет назад

      How does PI relate to facet arthritis = Just like a pronated foot causes stress on the inside of the knee...you can't separate them. One does not work independently from the other. A PI ileum typically causes a chain reaction in the spine to INCREASE the curves, thus producing more pressure on the facets (Gonstead textbooks). Asymmetry in the body = yes and there are other examples of things in our lives that create asymmetry...that's why I recommend to workout with efforts to CREATE symmetry or at least fight off the imbalances (see other videos and videos to come in two weeks regarding the core). Which came first, the facet or PI? = I don't know for sure, but I suspect the PI. Hopefully that answers your questions.

    Hi , I searched a lot about lower back pain until I saw this video, I’m feeling lucky to share with you my back pain problem. Hoping to get a positive response:)
    I used to play cricket in my teenage and I was a left hand fast bowler, one day I felt a sharp pain in my lower back on the right side of my body during bowling that I couldn’t even deliver the ball. I had to skip the cricket for about 2-3 months and took complete rest, the pain got better but as I start playing again I couldn’t bowl more than 2 overs and the pain started again. I used some muscle relaxants but they didn’t work. I couldn’t diagnose what would have possibly gone wrong with me. It’s been 10 years I left cricket, still I feel numbness in my right leg and pain in lower back (right side). Although the pain intensity is low now because I am not doing any physical games regularly but it’s still there and gets worse as I try to play cricket.
    Hope you could guide me the right way.

    is it better to bring an xray or an mri to a chiropractor or it is not necessary ?

    • @AdamJStoryDC
      @AdamJStoryDC  7 лет назад +2

      I personally examine the patient prior to ordering x-rays or an MRI. I examine how they move, if there's spasms in the muscles, if I can feel any abnormal tissue tone in the muscles, etc. About 70-80% of the patients I see can be treated without x-rays or MRI. The other percent I order the studies because I suspect a fracture, bone disease or a herniated disc and want to confirm my suspicions. So to answer your question, it's not necessary at first, but the chiropractor may order them. But if you have them prior to seeing a chiropractor, definitely bring them with you. Too much information is not a bad thing (that goes for blood tests, CT scans, etc). Good question.

    So i have had lower back pain for 5 years (suspected facet joint problems) I've seen many specialists and physiotherapists, Consultants etc etc Many MRI's... none can actually diagnose me. 5 years ago i suddenly developed pain in my lower left back. i had many scans, and was seen by many specialists who couldnt nail it. Then after 2 years i developed pain in the right side. Again i saw Consultants etc etc and im still undiagnosed, but have had a couple courses of injections to my L4/L5 S1 which did help, but i was getting pain around my SI joints. I had the SI joints done on their own 5 months later which didnt really give me noticable pain relief. Then 5 months after that i had my L4/L5 S1 and SI joints done bilaterally which helped even more. I have learnt a lot about the human back, and pain patterns. I get a sort of relief from twisting my lower half one way and the upper half the other way, a quick jolt, and it pops.. Leaning back is less painful as leaning forward as if bending down as to touch your toes. i have pain at the top of each buttock. and leaning to the left whilst slightly leaning back hurts the right side, and vice versa. first 5 minutes in the mornings im pain free. the other 23 hours and 55 minutes im in pain.
    So tell me Adam, what do you think? I feel a little bit sucked in by the video as to your diagnosis and treatment. It seemed a little bit, hey presto, i'll fix you in 2 days.. What differentiates you from the specialists and physiotherapists that i've seen over the past 5 years?
