What a great episode with Mr. Barsz! I was hoping you would cover Pete Hamilton on your excellent show! I've always tout how Pete Hamilton hails from Massachusetts to friends there-and how he won the Daytona 500 in that Maurice Petty prepared No. 40 Superbird! Indeed, Pete Hamilton's hometown, Dedham, is right next to Boston. (I'm rooting for that 40 car to be displayed on the Boston Common or in front of Dedham Town Hall. I always wondered how Pete Hamilton came to Petty Enterprises. Now I know he came over from Holman-Moody with Mr. Barsz. That's a BIG deal-going one from major NASCAR team to another?
Thanks for a great episode. Hope to hear more about Pete Hamilton in future episodes!

My dad always said Hamilton was there to block the crowd for Richard.

Why was Baker signed instead of Hamilton in 71?

Dodge scaled back their effort and wanted a dodge driver. At the time Buddy was the face of dodge! Thanks for watching

@@pettybrothersracing Thank you. I assume the decision was not from the Petty`s but from Chrysler?
