MASTER HAS NO WING CHUN SKILLS WHAT THE HELL ISS HE DOING
Supervisor ColonyGreens yes he does
there is a ring in the back..get in it and spar with a good boxer. Lets see it in action...
All fighting styles have something to offer. It really depends on the man
steve brindle How about the no touch martial arts?
it depends on what you're trying to do with it. For example someone who wants to be an MMA fighter will take grappling styles like BJJ, Wrestling, and Judo plus standing fighting like boxing and Muay Thai where as police might take different styles like Hapkido, Aikido, along with a little Judo and Jujitsu. Special Forces will train in combat systems like Krav Maga and SCARS which are 2 of the deadliest combat systems there are.
It does not depend on the man.u have woman who can do wing chun
"Take what is useful and discard what is not"
@@Pij23 not martial art if it has 0 contact
stop talking and start sparring, the sparring will show us and teach you what works well
Mikael Forsgren, everyone needs to understand martial arts isn't about fighting, in the old days of martial arts, anyone who could prevent a fight before it started was considered a master of martial arts. I've been studying and practicing martial arts for 10 years now, and never got into a fight, because I never needed to or wanted to, to fight without fighting is my technique, and it's a technique every true master will teach. if you go out looking for a fight that's all your going to get, that's abusing the power you have been given. if you abuse your power it's going to be taken away. and if I do get into a fight my first course of action is to prevent it, and if that doesn't work I'll walk away, and if that doesn't work then I'll prepare myself for whatever happens next. and comparing a styles is meaningless, no style is better or worse. it's about the person using it, how good they are, how much training they have.
Sparring isn't fighting. It just trains yourself to be able to use the skills youve already practiced in a realistic situation where you are being pressure and attacked by a live opponent. Drills in slow motion don't do anything other than work on technique. All I see is him practicing drills, I never see a video of someone actually trying to prevent him from doing his combinations and counter attacking. He hasn't proven anything about his style and the idea of practicing martial arts fro 10 years but no understand the idea of sparring is laughable. It's like when you see karate practicioners who have many years of training and a nice belt but if they haven't done any full contact sparring or ever been hit in the face/head, then when that first jab lands and breaks their nose and each time its being crushed, they wont be able to flow with the training they have done becasue they havent trained for a realistic situation. I get that a lot of karate have full contact Kumites however there is still no punching allowed to the head/face.
Yes you have all reason
Full contact is needed in sparring. The other way is to fight on the street. I have done both. Over 100 alterations. Fights against multiple attackers. Full contact even to face in the dojo. Etc.
Altercations
He is just demonstrating how he can block a certain combo. He isn't saying that he will beat every boxer. Get your heads out of your asses and just enjoy the video
Thanks man, keep watching
Wing Chun Tai Chi JKD - Master Wong How do you defense against a uppercut
Wing Chun Tai Chi JKD - Master Wong I have no sparring partner or gym nearby how do I practice??
you are right txs...JF it is about building an arsenal of techniques. mix and match. I liked the comparison box and karate positions there are bad guys that do that as well.
Pips.72y same
great vid, you're one of the only Martial artists that ACTUALLY show how to defend against a boxer, good vid
Hes always looking to improve and learn what a great guy
As a boxer, im sorry i just do not buy this style. Havent seen one example of it being used effectively. Only slow moving examples, show me a fight where techniques are on display. Please, feel free to link a video. Im not hating simply one fight enthusiast to another learning as much as i can. Fighting styles should absolutely be critiqued always. So someone show me proof this style works.
That's why the best fighters use various fighting systems to be at their most effective. Boxing is a very good system and every fighter should have some familiarity with it. Of course, systems with rules have weaknesses. A wrestler would destroy a boxer if the boxer didn't know what the wrestler does for example. Master Wong's system is very good at close range, just as boxing is. He keeps it basic and simple, just as boxing is. Karate requires a very challenging skill set. You don''t have to be able to do what your opponent does, but you better know what they can do. Or hit them hard and fast before they can do it.
Amen ^^
As a person who has studied boxing and wing chun, I am sort of skeptical about this video. First, agree with his technique because realistically and ideally it would work; however, wing chun requires you to have superb reflexes. That's it downfall. Anyone that can throw fast tricky punches can beat a wc martial artist.
With the wrestler argument it depends on the individual. Any wrestlers who think twice about grabbing George Foreman. He was an Ox.
David Michael I've been boxing for about 9 years now and I can tell you that it might work the first time if we're caught off guard, but it certainly won't work the next time. Boxers are trained to adapt to their opponent's movements without having to use kicks, but that doesn't mean we leave our legs unprotected. There are plenty of movements that are evasive and even defensive when you're boxing against a discipline that uses kicks. It would probably work best in a street fight against an inexperienced fighter. It might even work against an experienced street fighter, but the point is they have no training or discipline. Its a lot different when you're fighting a trained individual or group.
Remember not all Styles is created equal and not all master are equal 👍👍👊👊💪💪💪
I love these videos. You guys are good. I'm glad you showed the boxer's counter defense. I know he's a pro, but I notice his left hand dropping when throwing the uppercut. To me I felt he was leaving his chin vulnerable, but I see in the counter defense he quickly brings it up. Karate guy has mad kicks!
A real boxer would have his hands up at all times
Archie Sharp is as real a boxer you are likely ever to meet. Extremely good amateur record. Legend in amateur ranks.
Floyd is a great boxer, and he almost never has his hands up.
Muhammad Ali had his hands down all the time...and isn't he a boxer ??
Everyone can be countered genius. You’re throwing hand can’t always be up. Stop talking if you never fought or trained in any fighting art.
@@insanefighteranu7215 but he had good footwork in his prime same with roy jones jr, his stance being of a "drunken boxer" but has good slipping movement and able to move fast
never heard of wing chun before seeing you. I think it's really great and practical! :)
As someone who is more or less on the outside looking in, with no fighting or martial arts experience, it looks like every style has something good to offer. I like seeing the dynamic between three seemingly proficient individuals from different disciplines coming together and just trading bits and pieces of their styles.
It seems like it all comes down to the practitioner more than the practice, as with many things. I love it. I see a lot of hate going back in forth in comments, but my impression is that the style you find the best fit in, the greatest enjoyment in, will be the greatest one for you. As with all things, really.
Great video, thumbs up.
Everyone has a plan until they get punched, that's mike tyson for you. So viewers, don't be mad, and know that this video is only theoretical. When you control all the variables, of course it could work. But say after the four punches, your opponent pulls a knife out and try to map you up, then it is a different game. Or your opponent kicks you while you are busy blocking the punches, and then you fall, now you are on the ground trying to pull them mma shit. Or your opponent is Mike tyson himself, and your defense is completely destroyed because he is simply too strong. This is only a stimulated situation. But i still like these videos. God forbid one day you are about to be killed by one massive uppercut and you don't know what to do. This might well save your life. There is no guarantee though. My advise? Watch these videos, but don't take them too seriously.
"everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face" who even walks into a fight thinking of a plan anyways? in most mma fights, boxing fights or any other fight no one would even think of a plan, its just skill and experience vs skill and experience.
i dreamt that master wong was training me to break a compiled pencils 😂😂😂😂
Great work Master Wong. I absolutely agree with your sentiment. It should never be about delusions of what style is better or worse. We learn styles to defend ourselves against common bullies, but in tournaments - on any given day, what matters is the ability of an artist to manipulate and improvise their style to get around their opponent. I like the use of the elbow-covers to intercept, break and defend; I don't think we use in our style but if I get a brainfade with fists too close to me, I'll throw in some elbow-covers. Thank you.
Really good demonstration with an end note of respect to other forms of fighting--awesome!
Master Wong, please do a video on how to defend/attack against (fast/rapid) punches.
Really appreciate it.
This playlist will help you Do not punch in a Street Fight goo.gl/o7RTLo
It's called blocking my friend
^^^^^ this. your arms should always be above your middle section, if you don't have good reaction time, connect your fists to each other in a sideways fashion and keep your arms away from your face, otherwise all they have to do is punch your block and the force will be absorbed into your skull.
You can always block fast punches very effectively using your forehead
Love this dude
I hope you will live healthy and gain fame as a comedian and a Martial artist.
yes
I seen Master Wong do his thing and now I train kung fu . Big up to you my friend !
Wing Chun Tai Chi JKD - Master Wong
how do u get better at kicks. and your videos are amazing btw I always watch them
He's had 6 professional fights, right?
How many did he win again? Lol
don't deal with the BOXER it's Dangerous be careful master Wong!! your elbow.!!
Funny how everybody always doubts the blocks he shows ... have you ever punched an elbow full force ? lol there's a reason boxers wear gloves ... you would break your hand if you hit someone's face hard enough . Of course all these are situational but if you want a general idea of how to deal with certain techniques he is giving out correct concept and principles people
has he ever blocked a full force punch thats the question
cool man i like that
you realise we have 2 hands but you only have 1 head, just so happening to catch a boxers hand and breaking it isnt going to stop a fight, boxers fight in the ring with broken hands until the end of the bell...
Kyle B he may still have another hand to use but you just increased your chances of winning by 50%
Boxers dont wear gloves because of that the hands would get hurt. they wear gloves to the rules in order to reduce the harm on eachothers bodies
What kind of noob boxer would throw an upper cut that is so out of focus? The dude's head is obviously at hook range and beyond.. do you even expect an amateur boxer would throw an upper like that? Also that uppercut can easily turn into a liver shot, and using elbow to block would leave your lower body wide open, that's what boxing is about..
But idiot who don't even spar won't understand that. Nothing too worry about :D
its funny how that they dont even think about body shots and 2nd boxers are not gonna keep doing uppercuts just like jab and hooks and 3rd u half to think that boxers like to mixes it up when throwing punches
Boxing is shit against muay thai and sanda. Muay thai can close distance by clinch, and sanda can close distance by take down. They all use elbow in some cases to block incoming punching. What wong did here is very similar with them. Don't dwell on the magic of boxing.
So the conclusion is that all martial arts all combo has effectiveness against all other or same martial arts for attacks and defense. Thanks Master Wang.

Master Wong make a video with you and these guy's and an MMA trained fighter that has worked on all of their skills and some of yours.I think that would be very informative !
Why is boxer keeping his hands down tf?
Cause he has to defend against takedown. In kickboxing, mma and real fight nobody plays your boxing rule.
西凉马超 in a real fight when you try to take somebody down you’ll get hit with a uppercut and go to bed
@@easternstrategist5276 pretty true, as a boxer you adapt
Holy shit ive been subscribed since under 500k subs and now Master Wong's almost at 1 mil 😱
Keep up the awesome videos i love them, mainly cause of ur humor and fighting :)
I love that out of distance thing, that shit would confuse the crap out of your opponent lmao
respect to you master wong .loving your videos , and how you present .you have a nice spirit .
peace brother
Impressive Master Wong showong two top fighters in there respective fighting arts. See the light. Knowledge is power thank you again For the Video Master Wong.
This is good: showing attack and defense from all three perspectives.
2:27 the nicest thing that Mr Wong ever said to us the karate fighters
that was very educational..thanks masters
wish I could come train with you guys I need this in my life..
I like this video. It's three different styles getting together and sharing ideas and techniques, differences and similarities. Also a very nice way of promoting different people, like a good gym and a tournament. We can argue which one is best, who did what wrong/right until the cows come home, but we're all martial artists. Should be more of this. Thumbs up!
Master Wong ..Im your great fan ..you really thought me more out of my own skills ..
Jordon youre doing good too ..same goes to the other guy ..
If I do have a chance to meet up guys up ..I would like to propose a friendly sparing with Jordan ..
hello master Wong,
is it possible if you can make a video on how to fight a street fighter that has no shirt?
YOUR AWSUM.. THANK YOU AGAIN...
I've noticed that there are a lot of elbow movements in these counter moves. Just watched Ip Man movies and noticed the same thing. So... Yeah. Legit. Thanks Master Wong. Gonna keep practicing!
Im convinced this guy is always reading a telepromt going at super speed
Heavy EYE OPENER I love boxing and my 12 year old boy is a black belt in Karate so I will be mixing it up with him and see how he goes. Another great video ✌
I'm a thai boxer (nakmuai) but i am not closed to any practice, i like each of them.
You are wise.
Great video as always Master Wong 🔥🤘And also how long have you been doing wing chun I've only been doing it for a year ?
I'm definitely learning
💯
Love this master . Modern days sensei . 😁😁😁 that's the problem teeths disappear . Respect
All right,in theory seens that work.
I hope that some big uppercut don't hurt my joint arm, because if it happen i'm finish!
You have many styles of boxers like in-fighters, brawlers, speeding out-boxers, you name it and lots of styles in Kung fu they're all very useful if you combine it together for self defense it's good to learn from each style of professional boxers and martial artists and I enjoyed this video too
I really loved this
This was really helpful, been subscribes for like 3 weeks. Almost got myself into a fight. Key word. Almost. Came here for defense.
You gotta love Master Wong's passion!
That fraud is like that kid in recess that pretends he is a damn power ranger and says well the red ranger can kick scorpions ass from MK because (insert what if's here)
Great vid. These guys know what they're doing.
Thanks man 🙏🏾 #legend
Nice workin😉
but great video as always master :D
those kicks look lethal
Very informal video. My take Martial arts is like an open buffet, a little bit of everything is good.
i am practising well . but just want to see your new videos an this video is awsome for self defence
If i See master Wong in the streets i would run after him and say hi or something.
One problem; he might get startled and knock my face off. and im gonna have a problem. Youre the best Instructor😀
knowing your opponents movements before he moves. dont be 1 step ahead of opponent but 5 to 10 steps ahead. it aint easy but if conquer that technique; unstoppable.
Master Wong karate vs wing chun video
Good video.. No disrespect Master Wong.. I didn't know you had an English accent... Either way.. thank you for your tips and information, very helpful and very clear. Thanks
Professional Boxer vs Karate Kid
I'm all the way for the boxer. Boxer, I think, would be more nimble on their feet and have great blocking ability
karate would overwhelm the boxer. there are also trips in karate. a boxer couldn't handle all f those attacks.
The Dark master fair enough
Boxing has punches. Karate has punches, kicks, elbows, throws, knees, holds, headbutts, forearm strikes, and chops.
I think we all know who has the advantage here.
You hit the point first off, Master Wong.
It's not the guy with injuries, it's the guy without them.
Great video master Wong.what is that karaken on your t shirt .And I want ground defense video plz plz
I wanna see master Wong against Jordan or someone else cause I wanna know the person that's teaching me knows what he's doing
i'm martial arts lover since childhood when i watched movie ip man ,i started loving this wing-chun art particularly(block n attack simultaneous) master wong i wanna learn this!!!! where can i meet you!!!!! I'm from india!!!
I like master wong's concept on how to intercept a punch but what if that punch was fast and powerful? As a MA its better to crosstrain boxing coz its bad ass.
That foo is tight
Very good
very nice
Muay Thai is where it's at! You have close, mid, and long range attacks combined into various different combos of POWER!
Karate and Wing Chun demonstrations in one video
good job guys
Good advice Master Wong. I don't think the high kick by karate guy is safe in case it gets caught. I agree with you to keep kicks at waist height or lower.
Archie is a real boxer, go ahead and watch his fights on youtube
Archie Sharp is a amateur boxing legend, the karate kid wouldn't stand a chance in a real fight with him. Karate people don't punch that hard compared to an experienced boxer. 2 punches from Archie Sharp and this lad would be asleep.
+David Watt I agree...thar karate kid is a joke. Archie the boxer would knock him out.
Watt & Co Accountants Ltd, everyone needs to understand martial arts isn't about fighting, in the old days of martial arts, anyone who could prevent a fight before it started was considered a master of martial arts. There are loads of idiots out on the streets these days, more than ever and whilst i like quite a few martial arts and think that parts of them would be useful in a street fight to protect yourself i think wing chun is probably the best out of them. However like for like i think a boxer would win due to his experience in real combat situations such as open sparring and bouts in front of a crowd. In this video of Master Wong i believe that Archie Sharp, the boxer would knock out that karate kid in probably one or two punches. He is a seasoned and accomplished fighter. Karate never actually fight in real situations and this is its big flaw. How you can say that comparing styles is meaningless is dumb. You might learn pretty techniques but if kicked off karate would be pretty useless i think. Just my opinion, no disrespect intended.
Good sir
Can we have a video where the boxer does the beating on Karate or Wing Chun
Boxing works in the ring. Unless the boxer has one punch knock out power they won't stop the street or Bjj fighter on the street.
Boxers always leave their front leg out. Easy to kick and break if necessary.
Wouldn't happen on the street.
Yes
@@dennisgoe3537 wtf is a street fighter? that's not a martial art, a boxer like this would clean up anyone who just fights on the street with no training, even if they've had 100 fights, and where did BJJ come into this? BJJ is great 1v1, but if the guy has a friend, doing BJJ would be a big mistake, you will just get stomped if you go to the ground grappling by his friend, it's very useful 1v1, but useless if there's a possible threat from a standby, it would be a big mistake, boxing works against anyone, it might not be successful against another guy trained in another martial art, but it will be useful, boxing has the best footwork out of any martial art... lethwei or muaythai is probably the best to learn for self defense on the street, you got clenches, throws, sweeps, kicks, elbows, knees, punching, Headbutting if lethwei
this karate guy is amazing
Great.. I was thinking about it.. and what is the best way to defend a hook punch.
A boxer isn't going to throw an upper cut all slow the way he is, he also isn't going to throw one being that far away.. He should make a "HOW A BOXER DESTROYS WING CHUN AND KARATE"
Any martial art is VERY good if you know what you are doing.
cảm ơn chú
You should fight a real one karate master to prove it. Osss
The pink gloves tho😂😂

Upper cut need to use hip twist upwards pivet right leg other than that awesome work guys✌️🙏💙
its easy to block and do this fancy shit and humiliate the boxer when you know what punches he's going to throw. i doubt that a pro boxer will just stand there with is hands down and let himself be countered. where is this "boxers" pride in his art.
Let's play: Find the salty and butthurt boxer fanboy.
Hey, I found it.
+Eric Jiminez Perez
Let's play: Find the ignorant moron who jokes about people when he can't make valid arguing points
he just being respectful, 62+ fight gaurantee he prolly piece both master wong and this dude up if it were a real fight. not sayin they couldn't hold there own, but 62 fights a lot of fights.
I kinda disagree
Boxers are brute force and endurance, but kicks from karate might do some damage. Plus M. Wong would always be up in his face, preventing any powerful blows and tactically disabling him throughout
Jordan L boxing is so technical haha what are you even saying? Have you ever even boxed before? head movement, timing, distance, footwork, defensive in boxing In general. Personally My style all about defense. I will jab you in the face and use head movement while your trying to wildly swing an hit me in the face. I have equal power in both hands an can go southpaw and orthodox. People tell me my jab feels like it will knock them out. All the time in Wong videos he will even say boxers are the mfs that are knocking people out in the streets. I believe WC is effective, but mainly if you use it to complement your existing striking art aka, boxing or thai boxing or whatever it may be.
Can u do a video of how defend yourself when you're on the ground
Pretty sure he'd end up with a liver blow constantly defending his face. It is easy to defend one area from the body when you are only simulating hits to the head...
yes thats it , everyone who ever did some boxing know this........
It's pretty easy to say. Statement still holds true. If you know someone's only going for the head, anyone can block it. And it's in slo-mo. Anyone can do it.
Great technique by different styles!!!
Oh yeah that is right 👊👊👊
@@masterwong101 how often have u "lost" a street fight? (Or versus multiple attackers)
And btw stepping back and doing that leaping right hand punch will definitely get you knocked out with a right hook to the head or dropped to the body
Thing about karate,it's been watered down over time, that's what I started in,and that's what I did my whole life,it's effective for me likely because I never did tornoments all I did was defend myself in the street
Maybe u can do a video where a boxer can throw a flurry of punches at you for 10 seconds and try defending against it to see if it works.
Master Wong do a video on how to counter Randy Orton's RKO
You can’t really escape from mike tyson uppercut.. Many people has learn from him by just watching his videos.. His uppercut really deadly and tricky master wong.. 😅
