i’ve fallen down the crafter/gatherer rabbit hole and seeing how the system used to be gave me crazy whiplash. i love all these 1.0 videos for preserving how ffxiv used to be
Came back to ff14 for the new expansion, hit 1-50 mining in just a few days with all the xp boosts they have now... I had to see again how mining was back in 1.0, I remember thinking anyone who had 50 mining back then was insane, now it's so easy.
Let's say the concept could be fun but not with this UI/UX and the tardiness responsive. Which is impossible to fix due to how the codes overload the server and delay the actual response to every players.
those 1.0 black shroud map mazes give me a jumpscare every single time

Man, I can't even do the Gold Saucer version consistently. I would have gotten nowhere in this game.

It had its moments, but I really hated the mining system.
The old mining way was bot proof.

What an interesting mini game. I dont know how I feel about it compared to live. Less intense in live to be sure
