Now THIS is how you wanna use Staley! Take a few deep shots when it presents itself, but he's more of a well-rounded short/medium route go-to-guy that we tend to give him credit for. He showed his ability to make so many clutch 3rd and 4th down catches today.
This team right now is Cane's most balanced yet. The D has improved to where it's actually better than the O and the O is scoring more than last season.
If I'm Central Michigan's DC, I'm losing my effing mind all game. 3 4th down conversions? All those Trejo catches? The Staley TD? Stopped the run, but my god.
Sucks that Jacari Bennett career at Buffalo is done. But he will go down as one of the best rushers in school history, he is 4th (technically 3rd) all time with 19.5 sacks.
Well, the end-of-half jump ball was disappointing, but thankfully we ended the game one pick short of that minimum requirement. Gotta love the pure condensed grit Colson displayed out there today, I reckon!
No lie, I’m genuinely amazed at how well that went. The early lead off the pick-6 allowed you to be aggressive on 4th down and it paid off repeatedly; Dan Campbell would be proud. Defense looked good, too- losing Jacari Bennett for the year hurts, but Onwuka has become a very capable complementary pass rusher and Bofelli fully deserves the praise he’s gotten for improving this year. I still think it’s premature to talk about moving to a Power 4 conference until you can consistently play those teams without getting mollywhopped, but I think you’re building towards the type of sustained G5 dominance that USF had in the American from 2005-10, or that Boise State has held over the Mountain West for… pretty much ever. Then again, if you can knock off a couple of power programs in the CFP tourney, I think your bid to join at least the ACC and Big XII gets a lot stronger. …Of course, you could also do the funniest thing ever and spearhead a rebuild of the PAC-12. Sure, Buffalo is 2700 miles from the Pacific, but that didn’t stop Stanford and Cal from joining the ACC!
Everyone is already saying that it’s time to change conferences? He hasn’t even won the MAC championship a single time yet. WAY too early to switch conferences imo. It wouldn’t be realistic at all. But dominate the conference another year or two then maybe.
6:51 I 😍this iteration of Colson. This is what he needs to be doing multiple times every game going forward. Sure beats staying in the picket throwing picks!
My experience in dynasties is that 3 and 4-star gems are the best players to recruit and not just chase after 5 stars. Look for good traits and athleticism. After a redshirt year, they always shoot up like crazy and become my best players.
I agree even if he doesn’t win the mac (i think he simply has too much talent on both sides of the ball) a move up next season would be more challenging then beating up on these Mac schools 😭😭
I haven’t seen anyone give Shamar his flowers so far. Congrats on the success and here is too a great rest of the season. Maybe going pro just like Mack? 👀
Ciante Cleland looks a _lot_ like Randy Titus... The game wants more player-faces, and more (or NO!) "celebrations". The DB posturing (down by 20+), when an open WR drops the ball feels bogus. Thanks for the steady content, even this holiday-week...! and Cheers (Also, Happy Christmas!)
4:01 *YESSS!!! CANE ACTUALLY DECIDED TO RUN WITH COLSON!!!* 🤘🤘🤘Although I could feel his hesitation through the screen 😋 6:20 And he runs AGAIN?!?! Christmas has come early this year! 🥰
Additional update: as of yesterday, seems Colson IRL has officially transferred to Purdue, having followed former UCF OC Darin Hinshaw to his new role as the Boilermakers' QB coach. His stats as a true freshman for the Knights this past fall were 9 completions on 16 attempts for 64 yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 interception; going into the 2025 season, he's slated to compete with the likes of fellow transfer Malachi Singleton (formerly of Arkansas) for the starting role. There's a Purdue alum or two in my family's ranks, so all the more power to the both of 'em, I suppose!
I don’t think you should move to the Big Ten if you end up moving conferences soon. I think the ACC makes more sense, maybe the the Big 12. The Big Ten already has 18 teams and it would be hard to compete at the top of the conference. The ACC and Big 12 are pretty wide open as to who is the best program.
Agreed. Going to the ACC makes Syracuse a conference game, and the Bulls can bring UConn along with them to keep it an even number of teams (the Huskies have won a MAC title, after all, and they have natural rivals in the ACC in Boston College). I’ve been thinking for a while now that a good “test drive” for joining the ACC would be to schedule all four Tobacco Road teams (UNC, NC State, Duke, Wake Forest) in non-conference play next year- it seems like an interesting gauntlet to run, and a good test of whether Buffalo can hang with rank-and-file Power 4 teams.
What's funny is that in my CU Buffaloes Dynasty EJ Colson is in the same conference as my Buffaloes but playing on the University of Central Florida Knights as the QB
@ikw2828 interesting maybe I might try to move the Buffaloes to the Big Ten in a future College Football video game whether it would be College Football 26 or 27
@ true true big 12 got too boring for me personally i won it 2 years in a row one of them going undefeated in conference play. Big ten has served as a formidable challenge for me
Dingle reminds of a Kalispell running back I just can’t remember the name but there was another rb who was more of what cane was looking for but he stuck with upperclassman
I would say it's a lock considering they're already 15th and teams ahead of them are bound to lose and drop. All they'd need is to finish 12th remember.
MAC is already becoming too easy for this team, with all the talent on the team and recruiting 4 star players. Probably should look for a move to the big ten or big 12 next season.
SPOILER XMAS EVE EVE PROTECTION
Festivus for the rest of us!!!
Now THIS is how you wanna use Staley! Take a few deep shots when it presents itself, but he's more of a well-rounded short/medium route go-to-guy that we tend to give him credit for. He showed his ability to make so many clutch 3rd and 4th down catches today.
Irl buffalo decided to make riser-pressly a TE instead of a DL i think we need to show them this series lol
Imagine this team with SRP at TE and no Staley. They STILL might not have had a winning season yet!
Logan Clinkscale has been such a big addition to the offense he’s just so consistent in the short game and is a good run blocker
That was the most one-sided close game I've ever seen. I feel like Buffalo should have won that by 30.
This team right now is Cane's most balanced yet. The D has improved to where it's actually better than the O and the O is scoring more than last season.
I mean, they got 37 points. I think they achieved it.
That 3 star gem RB at the end seems like an amazing prospect.
If I'm Central Michigan's DC, I'm losing my effing mind all game. 3 4th down conversions? All those Trejo catches? The Staley TD? Stopped the run, but my god.
It took me until I was editing this to realize how well we actually played on offense.
@MrHurriicane You just know there was a VERY loud meeting on Monday.
Safety Barlow is big enough to be a amazing coverage backer
The block your WR or TE threw for Staley on that first 4th down TD was shout out worthy.
RIP Jacari Bennett 😭😭😭One of the OGs.
“Chippewas couldn’t keep up-Bulls ran wild” 🦬💙
Looked really 👍 👍 👍
I think part of the reason for getting ranked is OSU winning more - they started 2-3 I think, makes your loss look better
1-3 actually.
Move Miles Barlow to MLB. 6 foot 220 is big enough for the college level, and you need more LBs than safties.
I'll have to look into that.
Good call. Was thinking the same thing. At Safety he is slow but at LB he will be fast.
This Buffalo defense is moving me
That's...one way to put it. (Rim shot.)
7:08 this is why I love having quarterbacks with the Extender ability
Have a happy holiday bro, thanks for everything you do!!
In case anyone has forgot, Central Michigan’s stadium was technically Kalispell’s stadium in their dynasty
I was going to comment that it’s always nice to return to Mount Pleasant, MI aka Kalispell.
college kicker with 74 power and 66 accuracy nailing a 53 yarder lol
Love waking up to a Buffalo video always comes at the perfect time. MAC CHAMPS THIS YEAR BABY
Sucks that Jacari Bennett career at Buffalo is done. But he will go down as one of the best rushers in school history, he is 4th (technically 3rd) all time with 19.5 sacks.
you jumped to 18 because it switched from AP Poll to CFP top 25. that ranking has a different way of being calculated
Trejo always seems to have the key blocks on these big plays 👌🏽
Onwuka is kind of a pass rush monster. Limited chances but just gets to the QB
Calling EJ Colson 2+ picks before the game starts
Well, the end-of-half jump ball was disappointing, but thankfully we ended the game one pick short of that minimum requirement. Gotta love the pure condensed grit Colson displayed out there today, I reckon!
@ definitely I hope this game really got Colsen back into his last years groove.
Colson looking like Big Ben breaking those sacks
2 years in a row a seniors gone down for the year. Jacari Bennet was a great player and will be missed ❤️
No lie, I’m genuinely amazed at how well that went. The early lead off the pick-6 allowed you to be aggressive on 4th down and it paid off repeatedly; Dan Campbell would be proud. Buffalo sneaking into the playoffs 🤔
A good statement W indeed. Good to see EJ shining with less interceptions too. This team has come a looong way from the first season man.
The D has come a long way from the beginning of THIS season. It sure didn't seem like it at first but the new DC hire has paid off big time.
Beating Central Michigan is the best Christmas present I'm getting this year...and it was totally worth it 🤘🤘🤘
Everyone is already saying that it’s time to change conferences? He hasn’t even won the MAC championship a single time yet. WAY too early to switch conferences imo. It wouldn’t be realistic at all. But dominate the conference another year or two then maybe.
The Bulls not allowing a point in the second half is the single biggest accomplishment Cane's had in any of his serieses. Prove me wrong.
6:51 I 😍this iteration of Colson. This is what he needs to be doing multiple times every game going forward. Sure beats staying in the picket throwing picks!
You see that? That’s a W! - Jameis Winston 🐃💙
My experience in dynasties is that 3 and 4-star gems are the best players to recruit and not just chase after 5 stars. Look for good traits and athleticism. After a redshirt year, they always shoot up like crazy and become my best players.
Looking like time to switch to the Big 10 especially with recruiting 4 star talents

@@ikw2828 The talent gap is way too high atm particularly in the MAC. It'd work to stay if recruiting 3 stars
@@itsokaytanka facts, every win this season has essentially been, my athletes are better than your athletes
I haven’t seen anyone give Shamar his flowers so far. Congrats on the success and here is too a great rest of the season. Maybe going pro just like Mack? 👀
I hope Jag scouts are watching Staley and Colson
complete team win. didnt even mind the pick. like going up top to those two.
4:55 Eff it, Staley's...across the middle somewhere?
i think we can all agree with as much talent as this guy has on both sides of the ball, it’s time to move to a power conference next year!!
Playoffs?! Thanks for the years of content, Cane. Hope you have a great holiday and enjoy some well-earned time off!

ACC for the geography, plus we'd get to see this team face the Canes on a regular basis.
Agreed. Going to the ACC makes Syracuse a conference game, and the Bulls can bring UConn along with them to keep it an even number of teams (the Huskies have won a MAC title, after all, and they have natural rivals in the ACC in Boston College).

This version of the team would've definitely beaten the Buckeyes. I now believe they can actually get into the playoff if they win out.
Elliott Colson Jr., you are HIM
Did he move Shemar Riser-Pressley to DE because I started a new cupcake dynasty and the game has him as a TE
I think he started it with the day one rosters.
Yeah the day one rosters had a bunch of mistakes
@@sullyproductions5757 It's the biggest stroke of good luck since Staley decided not to transfer.
