Well not having to play Burnley in the playoffs def came true. They really pissed away their chance those last 3 games and now their player wages could really become an issue. Maybe we can find a few players of quality to pluck from them on the cheap

That is by far the lowest wage budget I have ever seen for a team going into the prem league. It is rare to see one under 850k never mind less than half of that. Next year will be an insane struggle. You might have to put as much transfer budget into wages as possible and see who is available on a free.
I see some people saying that the PL will be tough, but I’d have to disagree. There’s guaranteed goals from set-pieces and if cup matches are anything to by, when drawn against better opposition, I feel the team has always done well in keeping it competitive. I could be proven very wrong, but only time will tell.

Just had something similar happen with South Shields. Unexpected Prem promotion, board objective attempt to avoid relegation. We did get relegated (we missed safety by 3 points and we conceded like 30 goals over our xg against) but I didnt get sacked. Not even an ultimatum. So you probably will be fine if you can hang around the drop line, even if you go down.
I think besides the DM spots (which need new backups), ST (which needs Andy white) and RWB (Ejaria still has upside) you need an entire new starting 11 lol. Good luck Jack.

If you can get 25M for Ejariah I would consider selling. Buy Andy White, try and find two upgrades at CB, then RB and CAM competition? Might be able to snag a few decent Prem players on loan this coming year as well. Griffiths might be able to start at GK for a year if needed, he's not awful and he's consistent.

Even the youngest ones with a year of being battered in the Prem could develop very quickly (and be good in the Championship the following year if necessary). If you're limited to players that aren't quite good enough, just as well go for development.
