Vincent and the Elevation drummers are proof that there are more snare sounds out there than the dead, fat, worship sound that everyone is using. Love the sound of those drums!
tbh its not necessarily a "dead" sound, it actually sound awesome. his other snare has that "fat" sound to it, in this video hes using a wooden 14x5 and in the other ones he uses his 14x6.5 black beauty, which contains a fat sound lol. he just uses a wood one for this song for that bright rock sound

I would like to know the drums stuff, Cymballs, snare...
Cymbals (all Zildjian) left to right: 16" K Light Hi-Hats, 20" K Dark Thin Crash, 22" K Constantinople Medium Thin Low Ride, 20" K Custom Dark Crash. They use DW drums. Usually they are using the performance series at their campuses on typical services and bring out a collectors series for recordings. I can't tell if this is a collectors or not in the video but it does seem to be a 13" rack tom and an 18" floor tom. Most of the time they are using a 6.5" Ludwig Black Beauty snare drum. Looks like Remo black dot heads on the toms. In the past they have used Remo Coated Emperors on the top and clear ambassadors on the bottom. They always seem to be experimenting on heads though. They can comment probably in more detail or correct me if I'm wrong on anything.

@@kurthermann3482 This is basically right yes. They switched from coated emperor to the controlled sound black dots cause they wanted to get more of that punchy "rock" sound, and it seems to be working great.

I got you. For this, and Water Is Wild on the recording he used a; Dw collectors 22x16, 13x9, 16x18. And his snare is an Omar signature Pearl 13x5. Ride is a 22 Constantinople medium thin low, his right crash is a 20 K dark custom, and his left crash is a 20 K darn thin. Hi hats are 16K light hi hats:.
