    Does it have a setting for the treble too ?

      Modern Pioneer receivers don't have a bass and treble setting. There is a much more powerful sound shaping tool called a graphic equalizer. Don't be afraid of it. It's easy to use. On the Pioneer DEH-S1200UB, all 5 settings in the Equalizer are frequency adjustments. You can use them to make any given frequency a little louder or a little quieter as compared to other frequencies and without changing the volume of the other frequencies. The frequency adjustments are arranged like a piano keyboard with the low frequencies to the left and the high frequencies to the right. If you want more bass, I recommend the "SuperBass" preset. It will add a lot more bass into the music. If you want more treble, I recommend the "Natural" preset. It will roll off the bass, and add in more treble. If you are listening to a ball game or people talking, or an audio book, I recommend the "Vocal" Preset. You can see the presets in this How To video from Pioneer: ruclips.net/video/ZXg6-tLuUhQ/видео.html You can make your own adjustments too. Simply start with any EQ preset that sounds pretty good to you, and make your own adjustments from there. The 50, 80 and 125, frequency bands are typically the bass frequencies. 3.15k, 5k, 8k, and 12.5kHz are typically the treble frequencies. Here is a How To video from Pioneer about wiring your receiver: ruclips.net/video/kR2MO2kwFug/видео.html
      Operating a subwoofer requires an external amplifier.
      The Blue/white wire should be connected to the System Control connection on your external amplifier.
      The amplifier is connected to the subwoofer.
      Use the Red and White RCA connections on the back of the in-dash receiver to send the subwoofer signal to the external amplifier.

    Can we link our phone wirelessly to it?

    • @pioneerelectronics
      @pioneerelectronics  3 года назад

      What is the model number of your Pioneer in-dash receiver? The Pioneer DEH-S1200UB seen in the video above, does not have any option for wireless connectivity to a phone. Pioneer makes many receivers with built in Bluetooth for hands free phone calls and streaming audio from the connected phone. Please consider the Pioneer MVH-S322BT seen here: ruclips.net/video/BTf4xJOCTxk/видео.html or the Pioneer DMH-WT7600NEX seen here: ruclips.net/video/O9yXjfuZPtM/видео.html You can find more videos on Pioneer's RUclips Channel here: ruclips.net/user/pioneerelectronics

    can u explain again this -24 to -12 thing for the LPF? what is better and what does it do?

    • @deckerdotto6035
      @deckerdotto6035 4 года назад +7

      Please read this complete answer, I hope you'll find it interesting. The -12/-24 thing is the slope for the crossover. The LPF is a Low Pass Filter also known as a crossover. When you choose a crossover point, for example 80Hz, that means only frequencies lower than 80Hz will be sent to the subwoofer for playback. That's what the crossover does. However, it's not cut off like a knife. It's not like 80Hz is played by the subwoofer and 81Hz is not played. It doesn't work like that. That's where the -12 and -24 thing comes in. -12 and -24 is the slope of the crossover and it's measured in decibels per octave. So with 80Hz as the crossover point one octave higher, at 160Hz, the volume of the subwoofer will be 12 dB lower, or 24 dB lower depending upon your setting. And one octave higher again, it will play another 12 dB lower or 24 dB lower. One setting is better than the other depending upon the speakers in your system and the type of music you listen to. You can find a video that explains the use of crossovers and slopes on Pioneer receivers here: Please take a few minutes to watch this video. It explains this idea in a lot of detail. ruclips.net/video/WvJXYh6vk_0/видео.html You can find more videos on Pioneer's RUclips Channel here: ruclips.net/user/pioneerelectronics

      Thanks. That helps a bit with my limited knowledge on the subject. I listen to a lot of metal and I find with 80hz and a -24 slope with two ten inch subs makes the kick drums hit a bit more solid.
      Least it seem like it to me.

      It's your system, and the sound that works best for you is the best option to choose. To operate that subwoofer you'll need an external amplifier. I recommend the Pioneer GM-D8701 seen here: ruclips.net/video/-Uq25Goo0sU/видео.html After installing the external amplifier I recommend setting the in-dash receiver's subwoofer crossover to 80Hz with 12 dB slope. You can see it here: ruclips.net/video/MxOo2hXO8wQ/видео.html Set the EQ to Super Bass. What is the model number of your Pioneer in-dash receiver? The model number is usually printed on the face of the receiver and starts with the letters DEH, or MVH.

      The Pioneer TS-WX1210AH is a great sub for the DEH-S1200UB. You can see it here: ruclips.net/video/cI9SfaPFenA/видео.html It depends upon how much subwoofer is good for you in your vehicle. I recommend to get started with a self-powered subwoofer. This type of product has a subwoofer and an amplifier combined together in one product. There are many to choose from with different sizes and power levels.
