I discovered voltron with some beautiful art that I had seen on Pinterest, and after finding out more of what it was, I fell in love with the show, and I never thought I'd be so attached to something I would have to say bye to. How lucky am I to have had something that makes saying goodbye so hard. Thank you all for giving me something worthwhile. It been an honor flying with you all.

1000% Without that driving orchestral music it just isn't the same. The electric guitar coupled with the trumpets made voltron alive! It's like procession music of royalty or a king. You know they are here! That was the feeling the original gave. Once he was combined, it was surreal and powerful. The new one just doesn't have the same sense of presence.
Man the kid in me just cried a little. I will always love Voltron and it's theme music. Don't get me wrong I love the Netflix series but they seriously need to do an updated version of this theme for it.

Look I know it's different from the original series especially since during most of the first season Keith didn't pilot the Black Lion till he asked it to let him in the cockpit to help Shiro and in this version they put the pilots in the lions based on the color of they're flight suits accept for Pidge and Hunk who were still the pilots of the Green and Yellow Lions as Lance was now the pilot of the Blue Lion,Keith was the pilot of the Red Lion and Shiro was the pilot of the Black Lion and I also know they change to pilot the lions that they piloted in the 80's series but like I said in my comment at least we got to see how the 4 lions combined with the Black Lion at the joints since that was something that was never shown in the original series EVER.

This is a masterpiece, A wonderful mix of the nostalgic audio of the original Voltron theme and voiceover work with the new and incredible computer animation technology. I'm only fourteen but I watched the original Voltron as a kid. I loved the Voltron transformation sequence but I like Legendary Defender's animation sequence better than the original. I needed the audio though!
I would like to correct a few things about Voltron, First his original name from Japan was GO LION, However when he was brought to the us he was named Voltron. Second, it's very common for people to Display Voltron toys with the Green lion on the right arm Red lion on the left and Yellow lion on the Right leg and Blue lion on the left leg. This is Wrong and it did Appear a few times that way in the 80s Animated cartoon but it was just an Animation flaw. And thirdly Voltron in the cartoon had lotsof white for example, his thighs elbows,and face. He was supposed to look metalic but just like the toys are with Chrome lions legs chrome or metalic faces and elbows. The reason why Voltron was painted white is because there wasn't any metalic paint for animating back in the 80s. His sword, Spear, and star cutter was also white again, Because there was no metalic paint for Animators to usei n the 80s. And for the Record, Voltron Came way before the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers

Great job...it would be simply amazing if, at least one time, they could use a remixed version of the classic theme in VLD too (especially now that Keith is the leader again it would have sense)
Googled ‘Forming VOLTRON’ to show my 7-year old daughter an IMAGINE MY SURPRISE when I found this amazing video merging the soundtrack from my childhood with the amazing visuals of the new Netflix show. Well done sir/madam!

Remember they used first try to fight the baddies as single lions and would get a good whipping. Then they would form Voltron as the monster looked on confused...before bringing it! Then ending it all with the big sword!
With Amazon producing the live action movie, I think it would be better now if they produced an uncut dub for GoLion . Certainly one way to keep the franchise’s dignity.

Ever since I saw this version of Voltron I always wondered will there be another reboot of the series of this legendary Robot and it's pilots because I have seen almost every one from the 80's version to the computer generated version called Voltron the 3rd Demension to this one and I only saw parts of the series prior to this one where they form Voltron in different configurations with the lions like where they form Voltron with the Yellow Lion taking the place and position of the Black Lion and Vice Versa now that was interesting to say the least.

One scene I found real hilarious from this incarnation of the series was when Pidge revealed he was a she and the look on everyone's faces including Lance's was priceless all accept for Allura and Coran who both had they're suspicions and that Allura was happy that Pidge came forward and being honest with herself including Shiro and Keith.
Just finished binge-watching Season 1 and 2 of Legendary Defender. I had been reluctant at first because the previous two Voltron series were...well, mediocre at best, to put it gently. And while there is a lot that I really do like (Princess Allura taking a series level in badass, for example), the music (particularly that used while getting everyone to their lions) really is subpar. Thank you for putting in the classic music.
Hey if they do an animated movie of Voltron they should do it as an origin type story of how King Alfor got the idea for the Lion Voltron in the first place and how if this did happen they shared the technology with Galaxy Garrison who built the Vehicle Voltron and of all the battles Voltron had against Zarkon's forces before that fateful battle where Haggar sent that huge surge of energy into Voltron's body in hopes of destroying him but ended up breaking him into his individual units the 5 robot lions and the invasion of Planet Arus and when Keith,Lance,Pidge,Hunk and Sven were sent to Planet Arus to help and if they were on the Explorer with the rest of the Vehicle Voltron force before then now that would be awesome to see.
Netflix is removing the show from its platform, and I'm watching it all again before it's gone. I never got over the fact that they never said the phrase during the transformation, but the show is amazing.

This was actually a great reboot series honestly. The finale felt a little bit like a sudden cop out but it was still made to make sense.
It was ok. It just didn't have the same appeal as the older ones. I did like the animation though.

Dammit! I was expecting this and it didn't happen, that's why I had to search for it. Oh, childhood. Sent shivers down my spine, got me teary eyed.
One scene I found real hilarious from this incarnation of the series was when Pidge revealed he was a she and the look on everyone's faces including Lance's was priceless all accept for Allura and Coran who both had they're suspicions and that Allura was happy that Pidge came forward and being honest with herself including Shiro and Keith.
This makes me want to run through a brick wall!!!!! GO VOLTRON!! HELL YEAH!!!
Just finished binge-watching Season 1 and 2 of Legendary Defender. I had been reluctant at first because the previous two Voltron series were...well, mediocre at best, to put it gently. And while there is a lot that I really do like (Princess Allura taking a series level in badass, for example), the music (particularly that used while getting everyone to their lions) really is subpar. Thank you for putting in the classic music.

Hey if they do an animated movie of Voltron they should do it as an origin type story of how King Alfor got the idea for the Lion Voltron in the first place and how if this did happen they shared the technology with Galaxy Garrison who built the Vehicle Voltron and of all the battles Voltron had against Zarkon's forces before that fateful battle where Haggar sent that huge surge of energy into Voltron's body in hopes of destroying him but ended up breaking him into his individual units the 5 robot lions and the invasion of Planet Arus and when Keith,Lance,Pidge,Hunk and Sven were sent to Planet Arus to help and if they were on the Explorer with the rest of the Vehicle Voltron force before then now that would be awesome to see.
Netflix is removing the show from its platform, and I'm watching it all again before it's gone. I never got over the fact that they never said the phrase during the transformation, but the show is amazing.
