With a home as old as yours, I would not put in glass tiles. I think they are too modern.
The tour through the store brought back vivid memories of visits to similar stores in the USA when my late husband and I used to travel there on business, between 1980 and 1997! I can just imagine the fragrance in the store......YUM!!!!

Great these bulbs from my country, we planted many in a diversity of pots last sunday with all members of my family, they will bring such joy. And thank you for using the right name of The Netherlands and not Holland, because that is only two regions namely Noord Holland and Zuid Holland, whereas I live in the region of Noord Brabant, close to the border with Belgium...And there are also the Islands, Curacau, Sint Maarten etc. all belonging to The Kingdom of The Netherlands... Hi Linda! I'm only a minute into the video and had to say something about the beautiful view out of your windows! I'd stare at the wooded view all day long. It's exactly the view I'd hope to see from a New England home. Glad to see you're already enjoying the fireplace. I can tell already that room is going to be a special place in your home. I just love it!
I really like the brick, but would add a little black to it. I just love your home, so warm inviting and beautiful. I love the store, just beautiful and love all your ideas on how you display everything.
Hello Linda, At first glance at the Butlers Pantry tiles, I though...bees! lol! I bought Paper Whites this week, but mine are 1/2 the size of yours! I plant a dozen the end of November, and another dozen the end of December. They are just so graceful, and pretty. The scent, however.... I so enjoyed the store tours. I prefer that kind of shopping, as opposed to big stores. Thank you for giving us a peek.Take care, and be well 🧡

Your shop space is just lovely. I love the marble mosaic tile you selected for the butler's pantry. I would love to use something like that for my bathroom floor.
I went to the New England Hot Fudge Company website and got some of their chocolate chip cookie mix. They were delicious. Tasted like the homemade ones my Mom used to make. I also got the apple cider donut mix and picked up a donut pan and am giving the pair as gifts for Christmas. Thanks for the idea!!!!
Hi Linda… I am fascinated with your samples for the remodel. The brick sample you chose is very close to what we had installed, and we love it. The painters were here and we had them use a colonial red on the mantle and sides. It’s now a statement piece and we’re very pleased. It was a leap of faith, but we decided is we weren’t happy, we would just have them repaint. Also, the store looks beautiful…
I love the brick halves for the fireplace. Much more in keeping with Sugarwood’s era. Or black soapstone. Glass tiles are dated & too contemporary imho.

Your shop space is beautiful, but I wouldn’t have expected anything else! And what a gorgeous place to be in-I’m thinking there’s got to be a waiting list for a spot. The Christmas open house must draw a huge crowd. It reminds me of the holiday open houses at the florist my mother worked at for years (finally retiring as silk floral department manager). It looks like Willow is enjoying the new fireplace-happy to see a little peek at her! Is the smell of paper whites as strong as a hyacinth? I don’t know if I’ve ever smelled them. Can’t wait to see the next video! 🥰

My feeling is you should chose what makes you happy, what brings you joy. I realize you already have a sense of the historic which I believe you have always considered because you love old homes. Your area of the shop is beautiful. It was so nice to see the other areas as well, the entire place looks so interesting. I tried paper whites once. I was disappointed as they had no fragrance. I suppose at some point I’ll get over it and try again 😊
You may call it being distracted, but I think it's being observant and noticing beauty and interesting things in your surroundings.

Just wonderful, Linda! You have reawakened this CA resident, after 30 years living in Germany married to a German, to my N.J./traditional East Coast Winter Season! I always missed it! Since retirning to the U.S., each year , I tried to recapture and recreate the spirit in CA. Covid Isolation deadened all of that. You have given me the spark to begin again! Thank you! Oh yes Linda, the brick veneer is amazing! That brick comes in many different colors! I think it would have so much more texture than the honed granite… Which could look dated in time…

The music was, I give ye my spirit by Bonnie Grace~ that's what my phone said. I was at the store last weekend and wow what a difference for the open house! It's so full and beautiful!! Guess I might have to make another 2 hour trek up there this weekend too. It's supposed to be another spectacular weekend! Things are going to sell like crazy :)

Love your channel! My husband and I live on a farm in Middle Tennessee that has been in his family for 4 generations, since sometime in the 1800s. There is a picture in your store that I saw briefly in this video that has 3 cows at night with snow falling. I LOVE this picture for two reasons...we have cows and I have been looking for a winter picture for our fireplace for years. Winter pictures are very hard to find. I know you don't ship items and there's no way I can get to New Hampshire so I'm wondering how I can get my hands on that picture. If you have any ideas or info about this cow picture would you please let me know. I repeat, love your channel.
Went to Peterborough yesterday. I purchased two more bottles of the Balsam Citrus spray. I had bought one from you a few months ago and absolutely love it. It have to say though I also bought the Sea Salt Brownies and the sre just amazing!! We live in western Ma but I have to go back for more fir stocking stuffers!

Hi Linda. I'm sure whatever you choose it will look lovely, even though I like the glass tile to me it seems a tad to modern for what you are going for. The brick or soapstone are a better choice for the application. I love the tile. You shop is beautiful so many precious things. Good luck.
