4:08 - I hope you realized later in the session that you were unchecking the 'Do not show' checkbox. 😅 This was fun. I'd hoped you'd get a bit further on before you stopped, though.
i for one have played this game for 12 years now (with a few years break when i did my bachelors degree) and for me, this game has always been a perfect mix of relaxing and fun. i dont think this game is for "hardcore gamers", its obviously oldschool and its more about the journey than the ""endgame grind"". i dont really understand why you would want to play a game anyway if you just want to get to endlevel as quickly as possible. like i said im a long time player and ive not even gotten close to end level, and i really dont need to. my highest level toon is level 90, and over the years ive tried every single race and class the game has to offer just to see which ones i liked and which ones i dont. i played through every available game region up to level 90, because the game world is made so well and just...nice to hang out in. i regularly encounter random bands popping up in bree, giving a little concert (you can equip instruments in the game), people having a little fireworks show, going to the festivals and otherwise just listening to the really nice soundtrack. i love that i can play this game solo no problem, going at my own pace, doing the quests i want and skipping the ones i dont. if you try the free to play and you like it, i do recommend going vip for one month, because that gives you some permanent perks even after you stop paying. also they made SO MUCH content free in 2022. like, so much. i payed for a lot of the classes and regions you can now play for free lmao. i mean i did play the first like 8 years without paying a cent for the game, so. i guess sometimes the game world feels a bit empty bc you dont have crowded areas like in other mmorpgs but i personally like that. firstly bc my pc is almost 10 years old and it would crash lmao but also its just bc the world is MASSIVE. like when you zoom out in the map - thats 17 years of content there. should you decide to keep playing - there are LOTS of helpful videos here on youtube for new players, about just general tips for the game (because it can be a bit overwhelming to first time players)
i actually really like lotro, i played for like 200hrs with a dwarf hunter, but i made the begginers mistake of using a lvl boost that they gave to everybody to skip to lvl 120 i think and i was like lvl 43 and then all of sudden i was lost at lvl 120 with full gear in a random place in the map without knowing what to do lol, then i got discouraged and stopped playing because i didnt want to create a new character and dont know what to do with the 120 character*
The game is actually pretty nice. IF you're a fan of LOTR, then you're definitely gonna enjoy it. That being said, even a newcomer is going to have a lot of fun, once he learns the basics. It's definitely NOT pay to win. You can buy LOTRO points if you want to, BUT you also have the choice to grind deeds in-game and earn LOTRO points by actually playing the game. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but there is NO paywall in this game that you can't overcome by playing the game. A few more points to clarify: Not all races have the same starting zone. The crafting system is quite useful (at least in early game, haven't even reached mid game yet) and also not p2w. All the gear that my characters are currently wearing is crafted gear (paid 0$), which is much better than the gear you get from rewards. There are different types of deeds, some of which have different levels (eg killing deeds) and each level rewards you with more lotro points than the previous. There is a way to "abuse" this system to grind enough lotro points fast and unlock everything you might want (more character slots, inventory slots, bank slots, AH slots etc). Overall, it's a fun game, but it's old and can be a bit rough around the edges. Imho you should definitely watch a few beginner's guides if you intend on playing it, since it can be a bit confusing for new players.
Thanks for the video. This game is actually quite good, the community is amazing, theres of course some issues, but overall its amazing considering the resources it has. Sadly the UI and graphics are is downfall. Still lots of players still play a lot.

and the game is NOT pay to win.
Thank you for watching, sometimes in these older games i wish i had max level character, so i can show what its like at end game.
@@ThisisNasko work for it, become max level. Record the journey...
game is good its just unplayable on modern monitors unless you still have a 1080p floating around somewhere
The game is fucking horrible once you’ve done the story 20 times. End game trash and they ruined legendarys
