I really appreciate this video. I find that since I moved into an apartment complex away from my adult kids there is less to do. This will be a great hobby
Wow! I really enjoyed this video. I'm just getting into making wreaths and I love the explanations from start to finish from a beginner's stand point. I absolutely loved the ending. The love in mom's eyes for her daughter is absolutely adorable. My mother has gone on to be with the Lord and watching this video made me miss her so much for some reason. Anywho, thanks for the video and Happy Mother's Day ladies. God bless!
naturalangell Thank you for watching and for taking the time to make such a sweet comment, we appreciate it))) My Mother died several years ago.....wish she had had the opportunity to see our creations, she would have loved it))))
I love this bee wreath. My mother passed away Aug of 2013 at the young age of 62. Her name was Brenda or known to most as Bee or Aunt Bee. So I am going to atempt to make one of these in her honor to hang in my craftroom. Thank you so much. You 2 gals are so sweet to watch.
So sorry for your loss. My mother has been gone now for 12 years and she was such a talented lady....she would have been so proud of our business and watching us create things))) You'll have fun making the wreath and it will make you think of her every time you look at it))) The only thing is, we've sold out of the Burlap Bee we used....I have included a couple of suggestions for different items that can be used and these are listed on the written tutorial. I'll include the link in this post. The young lady in the video is my daughter))) We have a lot of fun making the videos....but have to do quite a bit of editing things out....we get carried away sometimes...lol. Here's that link: www.trendytree.com/blog/burlap-bumblebee-deco-paper-mesh-ruffle-wreath-tutorial/
Thank you. I could tell yall were mother daughter and I loved watching you bloopers. I looked at the website last night and can't wait to order. I am just outside Atlanta and love to see yall are in Mississippi. Love the accent.
Shelli Conrad Thanks Shelli...we love using the different colors of jute roping....just adds a little something different))) We hope you'll visit our website www.trendytree.com and drop by our Facebook page too facebook.com/trendytree
I just love you two. I remember Do 🐝 and don't 🐝 Iwatch your videos every day! I am my granddaughter's Girl Scout leader. Her name is Rachel and she is 9. She is very creativeShe had an idea to help boost cookie sales at our booths this year. Each troop has a crest for their troop. Our is a bee. So we are making this wreath and if you buy 5 boxes of cookies or more, you are eligible to win our wreath at the end of cookie sales at the end of March! Anyone want to buy some cookies?? 🍪🍪🍪 Wish us good luck. Keep the videos coming ladies!
I love your wreaths & your videos are very helpful. But that lady helping you in this video looks like she really doesnt want to help. Lol hope she has a better day & keep up the great work. Happy Mothers Day & God bless
Thanks for watching. This is one of our older videos when we just first started doing them. Doing video is very anxiety producing))) Sometimes that comes across as indifference, or whatever....that's my daughter))) Hopefully our more recent videos are better as we have gotten more accustomed to the camera...lol Happy Mother's Day to you too))
Thank you for the wonderful tutorial! I can't wait to try this technique..I'm inspired! The only part I wasn't clear on was attaching the jute rope, did you work that into the twists? It looks so free form that I wasn't sure. Thanks!
Thank you for watching Gina. We did secure the jute roping in the twist....but just skipped around over the wreath and only attached in every 3-4 twist.
Silly question: what is the rolling tool that cuts the mesh? p.s. again, you two make a great team and are a delight to watch! Keep those videos coming!
Heidi Snyder Sorry for the delay, I thought I had answered your question, but I must have missed it! It's a rotary cutter, much like a pizza cutter....we got it and the cutting mat at Wal Mart.
Thank you for watching, we appreciate. I think on this one, we just let the roping sort of meander around and just secured it in a place here and there. It's really just experiment with it until you like how it looks))
Thank you for your inquiry. We don't have a video for a firecracker on a rail, but we do have just a blog post on our website. Here's the link: www.trendytree.com/blog/deco-poly-mesh-firecracker-tutorial-made-with-new-work-creations-ribbon-and-patriotic-sparkle-sprays/
ok so I have watched several of your tutorial in a row and you fold or gather different sometimes...is there a reason why... thanks...BTW love the videos :)
Thank you for watching! Sorry for the delay in responding, but we've been on a little Christmas vacation. We use several different techniques depending on the look we want to achieve. For the "flower" petal look, we pretty much just fold the squares to get a petal look. For the "ruffle" technique, we gather the square up through the center....and for "Curls" we just roll the square into a tube shape. Here's a link to all our tutorials we have on our website and that may help: www.trendytree.com/tutorials
Love Your wreaths! You seem like you'd "bee" a really sweet Meemaw. Love your gentle way and your sense of humor. I can tell you enjoy life. Glad I found your channel.
Ernie Congdon Our Work Wreaths have the twists already on them. We have many styles and colors. Here's a link: www.trendytree.com/work-wreaths-and-garlands/
+Janet Dumpert Thank you for watching. Yes, the ruffle technique does work best using 10" wide mesh though and you might need more layers for better coverage since Deco Poly Mesh isn't as dense as the paper mesh.
Another wonderful wreath and I have probably said this before, can you adopt me lol. Carrie is so sweet and kindhearted and she gets that from you :) I had a quick question about the ribbons you choose for any wreath in general? Out of the 4 ribbons we choose, is there a rule when it comes to the width of each one? Like do you get two that are 2.5 inches and the other two that are thinner so you can stack it on the wider ones to look better? I hope I'm making sense lol
Thank you for watching, we appreciate it))) Maybe we didn't watch the same video...lol. Just kidding, Carrie is our only child and we're a very close family)))) There is no rule about the ribbons, but typically we will choose ribbons of different sizes so you can make a cluster. Sometimes we use all four ribbons in a cluster and sometimes just mix them up and put two or three of a kind in each twist. Thanks for your response about the work wreath to the other viewer. Folks can make their own wreath by using chenille stems, but for a couple of dollars more, I think it's work buying the Work Wreaths))
+Trendy Tree Thank you for responding :) I'm excited about Halloween and buying one of your wreath kits so I will be watching religiously since they sell out fast. I think some confuse nervousness for something else but I see kindness and someone that is very sweet. And I think it's more then worth it to buy the work wreaths ready to go.... I tried it the other way one time and never went back :)
Hi Ladies. I have a question. When you do three colors, and do every other color - one color will end up being back to back on the pattern. How do you guys decide what color?
Thank you for watching. This is one of our older tutorials but the technique can be applied to new materials of course. When we use three colors, we usually alternate the pattern of the cluster i.e. red/white/blue then the next would be blue/red/white or just a random pattern but not red/white/blue on each cluster of ruffles others you would have all blue on top and the red and white wouldn't show much. Thanks again, we appreciate the question))
Thank you for watching Lynn, we appreciate it))) It just all depends....if I have to use a wreath form that doesn't match (which we do frequently) I just tuck them to the inside. If they match or provide contrast I just leave them showing. Personally I like working with the Pencil Wreath best since the twists are smaller, but that's just my preference))
Courtney Bowden Thanks for watching Courtney. It should work fine on that size wreath...but I also wanted to mention that the "24 inch" wreaths that we use, actually measure 15" in diameter when you are measuring just the metal rings. With the addition of the twists and then materials...you wind up with wreath that measures anywhere from 24" to 30" There are work wreaths out there that are larger...so I wasn't sure if you were talking about one of those which would yield a 36" or larger wreath....or if you were talking about an 18" plain wire wreath with no twists. The larger the wreath frame, the more materials of course))
+JACKIESDAUGHTER Thank you for watching. This is an older tutorial that we did some time last year. Some of the products are no longer available, but we always list our supplies used on the written tutorial. You can click on the links of any items that are still available and get a sense of the cost. Also we will be doing a new Bumble Bee wreath tutorial for this spring and it will likely come in a kit and include all the supplies. Here's a link to the written tutorial for this one: www.trendytree.com/blog/burlap-bumblebee-deco-paper-mesh-ruffle-wreath-tutorial/
ok I found your web but I just don't understand what the ties are and how you get them in different dollars. do you just sell the ties by themselves? If not I will just try to use pipe cleaners.
Here's a link to a tutorial that we did a while back explaining the different kinds for form. The twists are attached to the form, they aren't sold separately. We have several new styles since this tutorial went out: www.trendytree.com/blog/whats-difference-work-wreath-pencil-wreath/
What kind of ribbon do you use? I have a wreath that I made and I'd love to add some ribbon to it. Does it have to be wired ribbon so you can shape it and so that it keeps it's shape?
Holly Lusk Thanks for watching Holly. Typically we use wire edge ribbon because you can shape it. But you can also use non-wired ribbon as long as it has a nice stiff texture and will stick out a bit.
+primpumpkin Well hello Bee and thank you for watching))) You should make yourself one! Here's the link to the written tutorial www.trendytree.com/blog/burlap-bumblebee-deco-paper-mesh-ruffle-wreath-tutorial/
Lynn Rickman I don't mean to intrude, but I was unaware that Romper Room was viewed nationally! My sister was on that show and I thought it was just a local channel that put Romper Room on and had no idea it aired outside of the San Francisco Bay Area! Ya learn something new everyday!
Trendy Tree Lol....oh yes! Those were the good old days! Us kids back then knew how to entertain ourselves without any technology! Thanks for commenting because I honestly had no clue it was nationwide! The recording studio was right down the street from my house in Oakland!
you girls make the must adorable decor. I was wondering about the horse head. do you have a kit for that one? I love when you have just because I do not have to wonder witch items to get. I know you put the item on your channel but I have to go back and forth. please let me know.
Thank you for watching! We just turned out two new horse head tutorials. The evergreen head has a kit with supplies, but the champagne just has a list. Just visit Trendy Tree and click on the Blog at the top. If I send you the links, I'm afraid RUclips will flag my message spam.
This is one of our older tutorial and the bee is no longer available. All the supplies we use in our tutorials come from our website Trendy Tree. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching Patricia. Paper mesh is made of paper. We mostly sell the 10" x 10 yard style. It is thicker than poly mesh and we use it mostly for the ruffle wreath style.
Rebecca C Thank you for watching. This is one of our earlier videos and I hope we've done better more recently with our video editing and newer equipment))
I love the wreath but I don't understand what you are talking about what kind of stuff is that, that you are using? Is it burlap? You voice is so soft I cannot understand you. Can you redo this video so I know what kind of products your are using? Thanks
Thank you for watching. That is an older tutorial of ours and it sounds like the voice and gotten offline from the video a little. If you look at the description under each video we usually will have a link to a written post about the video Here's the link, maybe that will help)) www.trendytree.com/blog/burlap-bumblebee-deco-paper-mesh-ruffle-wreath-tutorial/
+Deanna Wootton Thank you for watching and thank you for your input. The background music was sort of a trial effort and we really haven't used any music much lately except for the beginning and ending))
I LOVED THIS VIDEO, BUT .......WHY does the lady in the white shirt look so mean at the beginning of the video??? She looks angry as hell! Look how she snatches on the fabric!!! OMG....she's like a crazy tickin' time bomb!! !DAMN!
Carrie is my daughter))) It's not anger or meanness, just apprehension and anxiety. She never knows what I'm going to say or do next really and doing the videos with no script is nerve racking))) But we're getting better as time goes by, this is one of our earliest videos))
I'm sorry hun. I shouldn't have been so mean myself. It's just that the video and wreath is so precious, I just didn't know why the young lady was "not happy". Thank you for being so kind and explaining it to me and YES, I would be very hesitant during a video.
Wow!!! I love your 🐝 wreath!!! Excellent presentation 👍💗

p.s. again, you two make a great team and are a delight to watch! Keep those videos coming!
Heidi Snyder Sorry for the delay, I thought I had answered your question, but I must have missed it! It's a rotary cutter, much like a pizza cutter....we got it and the cutting mat at Wal Mart.
How do you decide wear to use the cording and how to shape it? Love watching these videos.
Thank you for watching, we appreciate. I think on this one, we just let the roping sort of meander around and just secured it in a place here and there. It's really just experiment with it until you like how it looks))

Love watching ya'll but don't like the music 👍😉
Thanks for watching, we appreciate it. We're always experimenting with our videos, some work, some don't)))
what is paper mesh?
Thanks for watching Patricia. Paper mesh is made of paper. We mostly sell the 10" x 10 yard style. It is thicker than poly mesh and we use it mostly for the ruffle wreath style.
I love your videos... the background music is really distracting though. It makes it a little hard to hear your soft voice.

If you look at the description under each video we usually will have a link to a written post about the video Here's the link, maybe that will help)) www.trendytree.com/blog/burlap-bumblebee-deco-paper-mesh-ruffle-wreath-tutorial/

Great video ladies but the music is very distracting.
+Deanna Wootton Thank you for watching and thank you for your input. The background music was sort of a trial effort and we really haven't used any music much lately except for the beginning and ending))
The school was the Romper Room School with Miss Jane (smile). I think I just told my age. Beautiful Do Bee wreath
+Patio gardener is here Thank for watching)))
Thanks for watching, we do appreciate it)))
