Excellent videos! Thank you for sharing them. I did the Southern Tier 2010 and recall that Glamis stretch as pretty rough. I wild-camped in the dunes and then there was an earthquake when I showed up in Palo Verde. I got lucky in Brenda when the RV park re-opened their closed (for the season) motel rooms just for me. Looking forward watching the remainder of your trip.
Since this trip did you ever figure out a better system for dealing with equipment malfuctions/failures? A dirty shifter is one thing, but a tent that can't open and a shiter cable going bad would be pretty major when outside of any major town.

These videos are awesome. Im going to try this when I retire..Im a roadie now with maybe 7500 miles under my belt. Hopefully I can handle the climbs!
Me too! I’m in PHX and will enjoy this ride after my racing days are done.
I know you filmed this a few years ago but I am enjoying watching from Boston!
Thank you! It has been a long journey to be able to start sharing this adventure.
Hi, I’ll continue watching your trip but will you tell me if you stayed on the Southern Tier or rt. 66?
@@andrewcarlson2955 I stayed mostly on the Southern Tier. I took a few detours, but nothing to far off the route.

Did you have any concerns sleeping in tent with rattlesnakes and coyotes around? Any tips on wild camping for hopefully a future trans America rider?
McDonald's meals are pricey now.
