I am a eighth grade flute and I am very excited for high school. I’ve already met my high school band teacher and I love him. He is so chill and really good at his job. I cannot wait for high school especially because I will be in marching band.
as a clarinet, when i heard that cracking of it coming unstuck, the first thing i thought was that the wood was spintering apart inside (even though sax isnt wood💀) it scared me so bad😭😭
One of the saxes in my family collection is this beautiful, shiny silver plate Conn C melody from 1924. It's my aunt's. It had been a family mystery where the mouthpiece had disappeared for yea 30 years (since my aunt played it in school). About a year ago, I visited her house and I wanted to see the saxophone. I pick up the horn. I hear a mysterious clatter. Behold, the 30 mystery, solved in 30 seconds.
I got a used tenor from a friend when I started and found a huge pack of reeds in the bell. I thought it was some funky part of the saxophone and was so surprised when they just fell out one day 😂
Taking the Suzaphones down for marching season and finding christmas decorations, new reeds, hats, and pencils inside of it was an experience 😭 turns out the middle schoolers shouldn't be left alone in the hs band room during concerts, they play basketball with anything they can find
New to MS band... I have a sax player that couldn't find their mouthpiece, so I had one that I let them borrow while they looked for theirs. I just went into the locker room, grabbed their sax case, and found THEIR mouthpiece just like in this video! ha!
I’m a beginner at the saxophone and I think it’s officially my favorite instrument. I remember how excited I was when my band teacher gave me the saxophone. We did this thing when u had to choose the top 3 instruments u wanted and I did 1.Saxophone 2.Clarinet 3.flute. And apparently the saxophone and clarinet have the same mouthpieces! Its so awesome how js one instrument can change ur life lol😂
When I was in band my friend would take clarinet bells and hide them in her sax as a joke. Sometimes we wouldn’t notice it was missing until we were halfway through class😂
One time my tenor wouldn’t play and my locker lock didn’t work so my director thought that someone did something to my sax and sure enough someone had stuffed a banana in it😑😑 and I was the only tenor in the whole school so they didn’t have any other tenors for me to play😢
I have never seen or heard about this happening in my band. One thing that was weird that happened was one of the flute players got her flute head joint stuck I’m between the back and butt part of the chair
I couldn’t find my mouthpiece, I have a very small mouthpiece and it slid fully into my trumpet horn.. I turned my trumpet upside down while saying: “I can’t find it!” And it fell on my foot🤠
this is so true when i have my sax sometimes the mouth piece or even the reed with come out of its spot where it is supposed to be in the case and fall out of its spot into the bell of the sax and it is so annoying
if the saxophone section has taught me anything it’s that there is indeed a difference between dumb, stupid, idiotic, and moron behavior 😂 Fr thought how does this even happen
I am currently in the saxophone section (best of my class) and I can confirm that statement in fact I could make a fucking chart dedicated to what makes these classifications
My BF plays bari sax, and he carries his music in him bell when we walk to the practice field. Then, a few days ago we were inside doing music rehearsal, and the baritone soloist started playing, and her coordinate sheet popped out of her horn. When we started the song over, director went "Start again. (Soloist name), without the sheet in your horn this time."
One of my friends in Marching Band had a marble in her case for some reason. While she was marching she was complaining that her clarinet wasn’t working. So we look inside it; and there’s the marble! Stuck in her clarinet! She can still play her clarinet so they did get the marble out. 😂
I was going to type something about always losing my mouthpiece for my clarinet, but i forgot i dont even play the clarinet anymore. i now play bass guitar.
Strangely, it's my neckstrap where this is the case. First thing I put on, and first thing I forget is on my neck and last thing to put up because I wear it all the way through the rest of school forgetting it.
As a sax player, this has happened to me. However, it didn’t happen with a traditional case where the mouthpiece goes vertically in. The mouthpiece was placed horizontally, and covered me a Velcro strap, and it wiggled out of the strap.
My band teacher would not be that nice like lowkey mine would be like “how do you forget your mouth piece” then take off points from your daily grade 🙃
One time i was trying to find the ligature and after 15 min of searching i gave up and used a spare and guess what decided to be superman when i played
And that's why I really dislike sax cases that don't have separate storage for mouthpieces. Dangit, just about every clarinet case has a mouthpiece spot, but saxophone cases just let it rattle around any old where.
POV we found Christmas lights in my friends saxophone.
As A saxophonist, I wouldn't be surprised
the POV was NOT necessary but crazy happening
How in the world did that happen
@@AbigailZerbe-f4r it may have been for marching band decorations or something. a lot of people tend to decorate the instruments for concerts
@@sillywilly2110 yeah probably or carolling I completely forgot those existed until you brought it up thank you for helping me understand
I swear half the time I look for my reed, it somehow ends up in the bell
Real 😅
Omg ikr
Sometimes, my reed is in a random place, like under the body
same lol
That's your sign to switch to percussion
As a sax player, I’m just impressed how she got the mouthpiece in that spot where the neck goes
Swear that's what I was thinking
happened to me once
@ wtf how, my mouthpiece couldn’t even fit
How did that happen
@@THE_WHEATLEY1 HOWWWW
As a flute player, I think I represent my section when I say what the heck!
As a fellow flute player, I can agree on that one: What in the world!?
As a fourth flute player, what the frack did I just witness
As a fifth flute player, what how does that even happen
As a sixth flute player: sax players, am I right?
And a seventh I didn’t think this was even possible
my reeds usually end up in the bell of my saxophone, I'm so glad I'm not the only one who experiences this
Same problom
I got a pencil wedged in my alto sax bell in 5th grade. Luckily my hand was still small enough to reach in and get it😅
This happens to my reeds and reed cases
I have never had this happen but now I am deathly afraid of it happening even with all my cases having a dedicated mouthpiece spot
I had band today and someone had the same problem
me too, my band teacher had to use my drumstick to get it out
@@batt_392 lol
I do percussion

I once lost my ligature inside my Bari😂
I lost my whole neck, mouth piece, and reed in my Bari once 😅

I love your vids
Back in middle school, us trumpet players would shove our mouthpeices in the bell of the trumpet.
As a saxophone player, this is so real
My Reed case always goes inside the bell of my tenor saxophone
Taking the Suzaphones down for marching season and finding christmas decorations, new reeds, hats, and pencils inside of it was an experience 😭 turns out the middle schoolers shouldn't be left alone in the hs band room during concerts, they play basketball with anything they can find

Some kid onces went into all of the saxophone and clarient containers and took everyones ligatures.
thats a nice sax
This happened to me last week but with the cover too my mouth piece 😭
Took it to the shop and everything😭
she should just adopt them at this point
real tbh that mouthpiece goes anywhere and I mean anywhere 😭
happened to me once! It was hilarious 😂
When I was in band my friend would take clarinet bells and hide them in her sax as a joke. Sometimes we wouldn’t notice it was missing until we were halfway through class😂
Brooooo my sax gets pencils reeds and my neck strap stick in the bell 😂😂 i can relate to this
If my mouthpiece was missing I would have a heart attack 😂
The way I knew what the ending was going to be in the first 5 seconds 😭😭
Add the saxophone player myself preach sister
"Teacher! My saxophone ate my mouth piece!!"
As a trombone palyer who has three parts to my instrument, I find this so funny
One time my tenor wouldn’t play and my locker lock didn’t work so my director thought that someone did something to my sax and sure enough someone had stuffed a banana in it😑😑 and I was the only tenor in the whole school so they didn’t have any other tenors for me to play😢
One time my trombone mouthpiece just disappeared. Nobody could find it
I have never seen or heard about this happening in my band. One thing that was weird that happened was one of the flute players got her flute head joint stuck I’m between the back and butt part of the chair
How are people having this problem? That seems so absurd to me. Ig it could just be the case cause mine is pretty form fitted to the sax
Don’t know how one could acquire such feats
My reed has gone into my saxaphone when it's in the case so many times i just see it's gone and tip my saxaphone. Now, i dont even question it 😅
This happened in elementary school, a kid accidentally shot a lego out of the bell of his trombone, silly times
Once couldn’t get my baritone to play right
Teacher came over, looked inside, and pulled out a thing of valve oil 😂
this makes me so glad I’m a flute
I couldn’t find my mouthpiece, I have a very small mouthpiece and it slid fully into my trumpet horn.. I turned my trumpet upside down while saying: “I can’t find it!” And it fell on my foot🤠
I've gotta say, as a saxaphone player, I can say that I've never seen this one before.
this is so true when i have my sax sometimes the mouth piece or even the reed with come out of its spot where it is supposed to be in the case and fall out of its spot into the bell of the sax and it is so annoying
Reminds me of the time we found a foam football in my friend’s tuba the week after contest
“How do you know it’s not at home?”
“… because i didn’t uhm take my uhm saxophone out at home”
“which means you didn’t practice”
One question, is there any kind of paste to make my sax shiny🌟
As an alto sax I would actually have a heart attack
ashamed to say this exact thing has happened to me more than once as an alto sax player lol
if the saxophone section has taught me anything it’s that there is indeed a difference between dumb, stupid, idiotic, and moron behavior 😂
Fr thought how does this even happen
I am currently in the saxophone section (best of my class) and I can confirm that statement in fact I could make a fucking chart dedicated to what makes these classifications
Why is this relatable😂
i want you as my teacher so badly lol
My BF plays bari sax, and he carries his music in him bell when we walk to the practice field.

I play the saxophone and this happened to one of my friends once, He couldn't play for 2 weeks, I recommended looking inside of it, There it was.
My biggest fear is putting my trombone mouthpiece in and it going inside of my bell
lol I play the saxophone and I’m the only girl, but I love it.
that happened with another saxophonist in my class 😭
This literally happened to a girl in my grade like a week ago! (And don’t even get me started on the spider stuck in the tuba story)
We found a whole music binder and like 6 pieces of sheet music in a Sousaphone one time
Omg if you have a sax friend, please DO NOT put things in the bell. Especially while we are playing.
I got a yeti tumbler stuck in the bell of my bari once so glad my band director never found out
One of my friends in Marching Band had a marble in her case for some reason. While she was marching she was complaining that her clarinet wasn’t working. So we look inside it; and there’s the marble! Stuck in her clarinet! She can still play her clarinet so they did get the marble out. 😂
I’m just glad I’m a flute and I don’t have this problem lol
This is a fun game i like to call "what did my saxophone wat this time"
That's happened to me in the beginning band last year but with my cork Grease
Throwback to when (yes I’m a sax player) I dropped my mouthpiece and it shattered 😭😭😭
What if that actually happened to a student and you touch their mouthpiece 🤧
played alto for 8 years...that's a first for me...
New Saxophone fear unlock:
Im not even joking, one time i lost my reed and i noticed i was sounding strange and i looked inside my saxaphone, and i kid you not. I found my reed💀
As a trumpet player, im happy i dont deal with this
One time my school's Jazz band went to a contest, and our alto sax player's instrument wouldn't play. There was an Easter egg inside of it
I was going to type something about always losing my mouthpiece for my clarinet, but i forgot i dont even play the clarinet anymore. i now play bass guitar.
Me when I had like 5 reed cases in my saxophone 💀
Strangely, it's my neckstrap where this is the case. First thing I put on, and first thing I forget is on my neck and last thing to put up because I wear it all the way through the rest of school forgetting it.
Today, the exact same thing happened in my band class today, except it was the ligature.
This exact same things happened to me today but it was my cork grease and mouth peace
Once I got my slide grease stuck in my trumpet bell and I missed 10 minutes of class while my teacher took my valves apart.
Ive ended with my reed in my saxophone my mouthpiece in my sax like that- my nexk strap in their Christmas lights from christmas parade…
My band teacher would have been pissed
I play clarinet, and my clarinet mouthpiece looks similar. I think it's because they are both wood wind instruments
This had happened to to my friend and she got a new mouthpiece and then realize the old one was in her sax
As a sax player, this has happened to me. However, it didn’t happen with a traditional case where the mouthpiece goes vertically in. The mouthpiece was placed horizontally, and covered me a Velcro strap, and it wiggled out of the strap.
oh wow!
My band teacher would not be that nice like lowkey mine would be like “how do you forget your mouth piece” then take off points from your daily grade 🙃
And that’s what bell covers are for
As a trumpet player, when our mouth peice gets in our horn its because we are experimenting because the percussion are taking so long.
One time i was trying to find the ligature and after 15 min of searching i gave up and used a spare and guess what decided to be superman when i played
Now we gotta find the reed that’s probably chipped🤣
one time i radomlynlost two reeds. i only ended up finding one and it was in my case for about a month
Guys, I have had that problem so many times and I play the saxophone as well
As a percussionist the worst I’ve had is losing all my blue mallots (my current situation)😅😅
thats a clarinet mouth peace
And that's why I really dislike sax cases that don't have separate storage for mouthpieces. Dangit, just about every clarinet case has a mouthpiece spot, but saxophone cases just let it rattle around any old where.
We had a kid play funny for months, come to find out, he never swabbed his sax… EVER and there was a reed case in the bell
