I will say this, I love Troy Baker as Batman. Not only does his voice work in something as comedic as LEGO Batman, but he is super fantastic in The Telltale Series
It's impressive how much nuance and detail you saw in this. I'm not a video game player, so I think it's an awesome idea to start making films out of cut scenes of more adult games. Wonderful review, Cap!
I just love how you don't phone it in when reviewing something like this. It comes as no surprise of course, you have always shown commitment and thoughtfulness with whatever you talk about on the channel. And it's clear that the people who made the game have reverence for the material, and are thinking a little, hence you having anything to say about it. Great work Cap.
I think they changed costumes in the elevator. The scene with the janitor may have given Batman the idea, and their voices are similar enough to mimic each other for a few words.
Cap, when you do Superhero Rewind for a superhero TV series, can please do it in a format by doing a Rewind for each season, as in reviewing it as a whole (one Rewind focuses on season 1, then another Rewind focuses on season 2, and etc.)? Rather than just doing a Top 10 list or a single episode from the series instead.
Mindd Kidzag I would love to do shows that way. The trouble with it is the shear amount of binging I'd have to do, especially for shows I don't know well. I'd want to know the whole show before I got started and review it with the full arc in mind. That would require me to watch an entire series, unless I was super familiar with it, then re-watch each season again before I wrote about it, so it's fresh in my mind. I'd be lucky to finish one show in a year.
I love this movie 90% because of nostalgia and because Batman was just like he’s supposed to be. Brooding, angry but at the same time he has the greatest intentions
Games usually have a bit more going on then people usually would think at first glance. There's a reason entire channels are dedicated to narratively analyzing games.
I think the Joker pie joke fails cause they cut the set up. In the game he keeps going through different things like "you like bazookas Batman? Cause I think they're going to like you". I have not watched the movie version but I assume that was cut based on your comment.
Cap, it would be cool if you ever reviewed the 1960's Ralph Bakshi animated Spider-Man TV series. Just over-all, not every episode. Yeah, the animation was pretty cheap, but I thought the stories were loyal to the comic of the time; the voices were fun, and I think accurate. Very much of its era, but fun for that nostalgic reason. Kind of a companion piece to your wonderful Page-by-Page series. ^_^
Cap, I want to tell you about a game called Planescape Torment. Its a PC game from the 90s created by Black Isle Studios, and its a role playing game. The game uses text to tell its story with a view spoke lines, but its primer feature is your actions have consquences. Also, you can start as a good character, but could be an evil character later in the game base on your actions. Similar games are Torment: Tides of Nurmenia, Fallout, Fallout 2, Wasteland 2, etc. If you are interested you can find some of these games for PC at good prices, or get Wasteland 2 and Torment on PlayStation 4. Also, I would recommande you don't save every time you need to make a big decision. Instead, accept your decision and see where that goes.
I assume some Justice League members know Batman is Bruce Wayne and others don't. That the alien with superpowers and who is a good detective knows isn't surprising, right?
1:43 I believe the developer of the LEGO games is Traveller's Tale, not Telltale.
Though, amusingly enough, Telltale ALSO did a Batman game
InsertCleverNameHere Haha, I do it too.
InsertCleverNameHere Grr that's what I meant to say...

767scarecrow 😀
I wish they made one for the first one
Always remember try not to make such a mess while you’re fighting crime
And robin sleeps in his coustume

It’s the best dc video game movie
You mentioned Robin couldn't make the jump on his motorcycle like in Batman Forever and it was actually in Batman & Robin.

Mindd Kidzag That sounds kinda cool but it may cause cap to take longer
Cap took awhile on some other Rewinds, it doesn't make that much a difference.
Great suggestion!

Have you ever thought of doing rewind season reviews on a show like Breaking Bad or the Wire, where the overarching character themes are more dense?

Unintentional rhyme at the end. Great work, Cap.

Love the Lego Batman series and loved the movie as well from this year.
Lego Batman: The Movie
The Lego Batman Movie
Lego Movie: The Batman
Batman: The Lego Movie
hahahaha
21:43 It's because he's already said it a lot. It was also in the game.
Just I was thinking

I'd like to see a rewind on Arkham Knighr next
Mask of the Phantasm review: 15 minutes
Lego Batman: 24??
Spoon Dude lol The show was a lot shorter in those days.
What about a review for "The Wolverine"?
I'm sure he'll do it to coincide with Logan.
I'm going to wager that the next movie review is going to be The Wolverine (2013) to coincide with the release of Logan.
The whole "two days earlier" thing wasn't in the game. You can check my playthrough if you need proof.
Ive played the video game its a great video game probally a great movie also.
So the only movies that have lego batman are
1)the lego movie
2)the lego batman movie
3)dc superheroes unite

So when can we expect a review of 'Injustice: Gods Among Us'?
grettings, Cap
I'm not sure if you're taking requests or not because it's been awhile since I've watch superhero rewind but if you are...
