ART IN SPIRITUALITY

Exploring the philosophy "My Life is Art" by Emmanuel Jal, this film looked at how spirituality and religion played a part in the life of refugees at the camp. Students examined how rituals, symbols, and prayer was in itself an integral art form which helped to retain the identity and traditions of many communities living at the camp. It also revealed how spirituality was essential to those coping with the traumatic experiences they had lived through and a mechanism for dealing with the struggles of living at the camp; often providing much needed hope.
