- In this video I explain the tools I am using for my barn demo, the prices you should be expecting for tools/equipment and some of the theory on location, proximity, and access for your barn site. Some things to think about before you commit to a barn and what to look for as a reward for committing.
Tearing a barn down myself, first time doing something like this but helpful tips! Thanks for the video
Thanks a lot....Very helpful
Are you keeping the wood or just getting rid of it? I ask because I'm trying to figure out if the tools you're mentioning are for more throw away types of uses or to salvage the wood for use later.
They're for keeping the wood.
+Jeff Beecham He is going to be doing a lot of demolishing. There's just no getting around that unless you're trying to salvage ALL of the wood. Since time is almost always a factor you're going to be cutting down wall framing with the recipe saw and then prying off the wall boards and such for salvage.
Very helpful. Thank you!!
its a bad idea to leave nails in wood if you are going to reuse the wood. You can destroy a brand new blade in 2 seconds if you fail to find a forgotten nail. You really should have a proper nail extractor that has a slider and beak system to grab nails even sans heads.
Where are you located and how do I find someone to take down a tobacco barn in KY? I'm at a loss for finding someone.
Craigslist or the local newspaper. I found this barn putting an add in the local paper.
