Elemental gems, buffs and weapon properties dont work with rune attacks. All bow's attacks = rune attacks. You can use only spike, because the spike increases the bow's damage directly. Just toogle on damage numbers in game settings - you won't see blue numbers from cold damage, only white numbers from physical damage if you use coneshot. And if you think that elemental gem works for ice arrow is also a mistake, only the spike will increase your damage
Yeah unfortunately. It's a shame because the arrows appear elemental though it doesn't work, hope it's a bug that will be fixed but it might be a feature.
@@zellgor2061 Yeah, it's sad - right now elemental gems are just a nice visual effect for bow's
Though I don't think it's shown in this video, he has the Cold enchantment Rune. I know this rune will also gives the visual cold appearance on the arrows also, but does this give the cold damage and the frozen effect?
@@thatoneguybrandon7 I did something similar, as I put the enchantment on my dagger to use it on my bow, it had the visual effect but not the damage, I assume using the enchantment directly on bow won't change a thing
AFAIK, you can only trigger elemental effect and damage with cold arrow, plague arrow etc,
I personally use mostly cone arrow, but I have a cold arrow to use instead of regular arrow.
@@thatoneguybrandon7 not working with bow runes :P
I am running a similar build, but I use ice arrow and blink on my bow. You can put spikes into bows, you just can't put two different damage gems in the same weapon.
Yeah I heard someone told me that about two damage gems. Didn't realize that was a thing. On my first well I actually did run ice Arrow I just figured it would be better to add cold enchantment to it but I'm not sure if that's better or worse than ice Arrow honestly
Wait, are you saying that an elemental gem can stack with a spike?
@gabrielmnt4119 no he's saying you can't use two damage dealing gem
Where can I get the Ice Arrow rune? I guess it’s extractable from some other bow?
Am I doing something wrong? My bow attacks just shoot in random directions it seems. Sometimes it feels like it goes towards your lock target but other times I'll be near the enemy and see the lock target indictator on them and it'll just shoot to the north for seemingly no reason.
Any idea why?
Yes because lock on his ass in the game right now XD. Sometimes it just sucks I tried to Prime with just a normal Arrow to make sure it's like locked on properly but yeah the lock on just sucks
I'm just curious about the choice of elements, since I don't know what each elements do. I built a similar build. But I choose fire because of the dot
From what I can tell and don't quote me fire puts a damage over time on opponents, cold slows, and then eventually freezes ( at least when the player gets cold on them I noticed I'm slow down a little bit). Electric I'm not 100% sure but I think it makes it so they're more likely to be stunned but again I'm not 100% on that things are very vague
@@FervorGaming and why also you don't use the cold arrow, but use the cold enchantment instead?
Hi brother, does the game have a season like Diablo and multi or just the same 6 hours of gameplay?
No seasonal content no
the game is currently on early access. it has only the first chapter and the first of the 5-6 crucible trials available. if any seasons are coming it will be after the game actually launches.
The vision is it will play like hades at launch meaning roguelike no two runs are teh same
I haven’t found a topaz in like a week 😫
Try checking in the shop and digging in holes I find them all the time there
if you topaz gem a lv 21pants you can get 15. focus max
I'd like to add that you can put a horn in bows, reason why you can't on yours is because of the sapphire. They only allow 1 damage gem
Pretty sure the cap is 15 it was nerfed recently
@Jel0XD oh I didn't know about the damage gem thing
@@FervorGaming Right, but your pants in the vid are lv 11 gear. If you topaz a lv 21, you're able to roll for 15 max. Lv 11 gear I believe max at 10 focus. Seems to be the only case. I tried different lv gears with say a HP gem, same values for any lvl gear.
Ring with dmg/def effect work only def effect
Pretty sure they fixed that in the last patch
Well, I still dont get it. Why we just can't use regular bow and arrows and we need that Focus for shootin'. Buy a bow, buy arrows, craft them from pine/spruce wood. And if you want, use focus for "special/rune/magic" shot. Hope they will fix this. No archer would first cut with a knife and then shoot with a bow.
What are you talking about all archer are armed with a melee weapon in almost any historic setting of course you can pick outliers but thats purely false. secondly what you're suggesting is way more annoying. With all the farming we have to do adding arrows is arguably one of the worst suggestions.
@@FervorGaming I believe they are already considering placing a normal attack on bow, also with staff. Reason: Doenst feel right to have to melee as a ranged class to gain focus (i know, there are other options but still).
@@FervorGaming historicly, yes. You’re right. But even then, archer had a bow-so he needed both hands. And only then, when the enemy is too close, he could put away his bow and draw a sword. Never fought with a sword in one hand and bow in the other hand.
And ok, so don’t craft arrows.
@Miellll I think the issue I have with this is if it's based purely on stamina it would be so strong
Right now you have to put points into Focus as well as stamina to be efficient and I still get a mountain of points for dexterity
With it being purely a stamina check I can just super stack dexterity with a little bit of stamina because stamina is not even that hard to manage and I think that's going to make it significantly more overturned
