I'm so excited for this! Gouramis are some of my favourite fish, I'd love to see a honey gourami tank some time in the future if you ever decide to get more Gouramis or just smaller fish in general! Edit: In my opinion this is probably one of the best looking scapes you've done! It's absolutely gorgeous
Loving the natural look. I have a 10 gallon with these little "sparklers". My first tank♥. I've read they're suppose to be shy but these guys are not at all. They always come front and center to greet me and they are all over investigating. Thank you so much for sharing your sweet babies and amazing tanks, they are such a joy.♀🙋
As soon as I made the previous blackwater tank for the Neon Tetra fish, I knew there would be more. This time I wanted to do a planted version with less black water, but all the wood and tannins. The "tint" as we call it will release slowly and the water will go darker as time goes by. I’m so happy for you MD. I really love this tank ( didn’t think I was going to 🤪) but it’s great and the sound of pride and excitement in your voice translates to me an d makes me not only want to do my own tank room, but be excited about what ever I take on. Thanks MD
This is a gorgeous scape! I could watch this tank for hours. I can't thank you enough for sharing and teaching how you water change and about your filtration systems.
Just last night I watched my female sparkling gourami laying eggs! no male, but still incredible. I cant with this! you're my fav youtuber & this is great. My fav fish! My main tank on my work desk has my two females. AA!!
You outdid yourself on this one!!! I absolutely love everything about it!!! The natural elements are fantastic... I especially love the small cones!!!! And PERFECT fish choice!!! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
I always enjoy your videos! I've been a long time viewer, first time commentor. I aspire to one day reach your level of scaping. Currently, I am really into natural aquariums with a deep substrate. I struggled for a very long time to balance out my aquarium, having tons of algae and plant die off. I stumbled upon a fellow fishtuber called Father Fish and he introduced me to the idea of a deep substrate. I haven't had any further issues since implementing it. Now, if I could make my aquariums as beautiful as your's, I'd have it all! Thank you for sharing! 😊❤
Greetings from Australia. Looooove your Chanel. Only new to the fish hobby, more specifically to planted tanks. You are absolutely my favourite! Love your content, love your scapes, love your positivity & love the quality of your video. Thank you for the amount of work you put into every video.
I’ve been keeping sparkling gourami for a bit over a year now and just don’t get rid of them if they are aggressive they will Sort it out and it will be awesome eventually.
I love this type of fish. I had 2. They both pasted away. I am not sure what's up in my fish room, I might have to tare down all 16 of my planted tanks and put down over half my fish. I can not beat these camallanus worms!
Totally loving it, the stainless shelving is perfect with the filters, the whole effect is calming and organized when walking into the room and your choice of music sets the mood...well done...!
The hardscape on this one is really nice. I have the same 90L tank I bought on sale about 2 months ago. All pond solutions is great, the price is really good for an almost ADA quality tank. 😆
Absolutely love this aquarium, MD. I am inspired! Thank you for sharing now I have to make an Asian blackwater style aquarium. I already have a South American blackwater. Can’t wait to see how this aquarium matures
I really like your naturalistic approach to aquascaping and your upbeat attitude even when problems or mistakes arise. I find myself looking forward to your notification of a new video. Great job once again sir
Hey MD, just a tip, if you want to get a pretty instant black water effect, I’d recommend not boiling the leaves and letting them just float there. They’ll sink after a few hours and will not loose any of their tannins.
This is actually the opposite. You want to boil your leaves for at least 10 Minutes. It starts the leaves breaking down to release tannins, without boiling it takes much longer.
Another great video and an excellent Aqua-scape. Have you tried BLACK LIGHT with crustaceans such as Shrimp? Would the Shrimp glow up like Scorpions when exposed to BLACK LIGHTING? Is there a Shrimp that has proven to do a better clean up job than other shrimp? THIS AQUA-SCAPE has got to be one of my Favourite if not 'The Favourite'. So natural & realistic, do you take photos of examples when you go out for a walk? STUNNING is an understatement for sure. Take care my friend 👍😷👍
The wood lice, we call them rollie pollies here in Vermont in the states. They actually are a isopod. They are fully adapted to be in and under water. They can swim very well. They are one of 2 that left water for good and are mostly a land dweller now. I keep them in my turtles set up so she can hunt.
Dude you put together some of the coolest scapes and love watching your videos. They always inspire me to change my tanks around. I’m really surprised you haven’t done rainbow fish yet. They are by far my favorite fish and they look so good in a heavy planted tank.
Looovely, your plants all look incredible - I’m inspired to try harder! The sparkling gourami are such interesting and beautiful tiny fish, full of personality but not frantic. One of my favourites.
Great scape! I want to do a licorice gourami scape, but my water is so hard and high pH. The only thing I would have added to that tank is maybe some bright green anubis to the wood.
I love your aquascaping style...but i dont agree with you on planting dry...i know you moist often but still it should have some water in the button...but it works for you soo no big deal...congrats and keep doing the great job that you got us used to
In the last ten years i’ve never been without either the Trichopsis pumila or Trichopsis vittata. Got a small gathering of the vittata at the moment together with a school of Trigonostigma espei. They suit each other very well. The vittata do croak a bit more than the pumila too.
Have ever considered keeping pseudomugil-species? :) My suggestion for a companion fish to your gouramis is school of norman lampeye killis. They have intensely glowing blue eyes that I that I think will fit really well with the gouramis
I was wondering if you’ve done a salt water aquascape? If you haven’t could you please do one because I want to make one. Wouldn’t mind seeing how you would do one.
So tiny the SGs...they must be youngish ones. They’re going to love that tank with so many giddy holes. They’ll be croaking n chatting away before no time. When the larger leaves grow at back you could maybe be lucky n get spawning, bubble nest n fry. But they do like larger leaves to make nests under. The red root floaters should do the trick and man they love frolicking in hangin roots. Great scape. I’ll luv to show u my SG tank...also has 5 green neon tetra and 3 platinum half beams but only 1 HB left as of yesterday as I sadly found my boy dead who’d been missing 2 days.
Hy,MD. How do you stop the bubbles to go into your filter? I use the glass inflow and lily pipe and my filter is very noisy and produce loads of bubbles in the aquarium.I have to shake the filter every 30 mins because the the flow is reduced when it has loads of bubbles in it. Thanks for your answer. Keep it going!

Hi MD, what an awesome tank.
Take some time to enjoy your studio.
And please do updates on Timmy and Pancho.

@MD Fish Tanks why don't you do african cichlids or south american cichlids just curious
you lifted the tank with some weight in it, check for water leaks in the next weeks, just in case.
How did u get your wood to stay down?
The tanks next to each other call for this tank to lean left like it is. You gain a good compliment to the tank next to it that is built to the right.
MD, I believe at this point, people like the wonderful George Farmer, are looking up to YOU!
Love that you talk about your water filler attachment thing every time you use it!

I love how that one sparkling g peeked out from underneath the leaf, that is so adorable ಥ‿ಥ

Totally agree to pay attention during water changes. I got distracted cleaning another tank and ended up tripping my circuit breaker.
"Alder cones are OP"- This guy I knew from my old LFS.
The tannins they produce are insane. I don't buy almond leaf anymore.

I think a few Pencil fish would be a good addition to this tank. Great job once again
